My cousin's exam lasted only about four minutes, and mine was similarly brief. Shortly after the visit, we both developed pink eye, which raised serious concerns about the care and hygiene during the appointment. During multiple follow-up visits, the approach felt repetitive and dismissive. Dr. Salzman primarily prescribed antibiotic eye drops at nearly every visit, even after my pink eye had already cleared. There was little explanation provided, and no meaningful discussion of what might be causing the ongoing issues. At one visit, she noticed an eyelash in my eye and again defaulted to prescribing more drops. At my last visit on Tuesday, I still had an issue with my left eye and was once again given antibiotic drops without a thorough evaluation or clear explanation. Overall, the appointments felt rushed and overly focused on prescribing medication, rather than carefully examining the issue or addressing concerns. I did not feel listened to or properly evaluated, and I left feeling frustrated rather than reassured. I expected a much more careful and patient-centered experience, especially for what began as a routine eye exam.

Parking was only by meter in front of the store. Traffic on Broadway was horrendous. I was told not to touch anything in the store to try on frames. This abysmal treatment has cost the company two customers. After posting this negative review, I received two phone calls from the optician explaining his paranoia with Covid-19 despite precautions taken in the store. We agreed to meet yesterday at 9:00 a.m. for me to pick up my replacement frame with my lenses. When I tried to pay him for the frame, he told me it was complimentary! What a pleasant surprise.

My experience with Dr. Julia Ash/rheumatology Her assistant, Christine is meticulous and thoughtful about patient record integrity . These days, it's very complicated to have medical records distributed to your network of active physicians. Records that I had requested of another hospital did not make it to Westchester Medical Center/Dr. Ash on a timely basis. Christine walked me through form by form to make sure that all the teas were crossed and the I's dotted. I highly recommend Dr. Ash for her, no nonsense medical probing and expediency. The team here is managed well from appointment setting through the nursing staff who take your vitals through follow up. I would expect nothing else and nothing less of a teaching hospital. In order for me to see the doctors, I journey over an hour each way - well worth it to get the expertise and level of experience. The care you'll receive is efficient and thoughtful.
