He checked the local availability of spark plugs and coil kits that might need replacement before I dropped off my car at his home garage. Singh informed me in a couple of hours that his diagnosis did not produce any error message. He checked all fluid levels and topped up my transmission fluid which was very low. He shared with me pictures of his findings. (I was surprised as I had changed the transmission fluid just 8 months/9K miles ago. Apparently the previous mechanic did not add adequate transmission fluid). He tested drive and confirmed my car does not skipping acceleration or shaking after the stop. He let me know that the issue was not nearly as bad as I had been told and that he could do the job for half of what Midas had quoted me. This was my first experience with him and he has consistently shown how much he truly cares about doing right by people and taking care of their cars honestly and to the best of his ability. I feel like I could trust him with my life. When he retires eventually I will have to go into mourning. If you are not sure whether the wait for an appointment is worth it, ask yourself if you can afford to pay double whatever he will charge you to another mechanic who will not be nearly as thorough as he will be. I was told that it needed a few other services, including replacing 2 tires. For the services that my car "needed" I was given a quote of $4,000 (oil change, tire rotation, clean intake valves, replace the two back tires, replace front brakes, and replace transmission fluid). When I asked the guy who was assisting me what were the most urgent issues, he avoided answering my question directly and kept on trying to explain how it all was necessary. I ended up getting the oil change, tire rotations and one other thing that can't recall. The services that I didn't get were still about $3,000, I share this because this is where I felt like I was taken advantage of and lied to. I did tons of research, called various places to get quotes for the services I still had pending... everywhere else I called was a lot less than what this place quoted me. I ended paying $1200 for the needed services. Also, for the 2 tires he had told me I had to replace asap for my safety, I went to two tire shops and they both told me the it was only one tire that needed to be replace and that it could last at least 2 more months. Do your research, don't commit to getting the services done here. Couple other things to keep in mind: they will send a $20 if you have them a 5 star review ($20 isn't worth lying or going back). Also, they kept on contacting me after to come back and take care of the other services.
