I paid Brandon The owner $240 to replace a battery for a Dell and to fix the numbers key pad on a Lenovo. He did neither when he tild me he did. The battery was never replaced and the fingerprint scanner is now not working on the Lenovo. He refuses to rectify the problem after I paid him in cash. I started off giving PC friend a great review until I got it home and it kept crashing over and over again. I specifically asked at the beginning for 2 separate PCIE cables to plug from the PSU to the GPU and he never did that. So I took it back to him and asked him to make that happen and if it couldn't work on that PSU to change to a modular one (he didn't know what that was) So I sent pictures and info and just asked to make that happen, but he doubled down and said I was wrong instead. My PC crashed after updating some drivers (or so I thought) and despite my own computer skills, I could not fix it! I could not reinstall Windows 11, do a system restore, get to Windows Recovery nor could I reformat my harddrive & start from scratch. No matter what I did, it all led back to the endless loop of the Blue Screen of Death! So, in a panic, I called PC Friend in the middle of the night (after working on my PC for more than 12 hours). I had a problem with my iPad ... thought maybe it was a virus ... called Brandon (answered on the 1st ring ... WOW "thatz" refreshing) He said he didn't think it was a virus. Called me after a couple of hours and advised it was working well for him. Fortunately, only "minor surgery" was necessary ... He turned off all the apps running in the background and brought it to my house in the afternoon. He rebooted my wireless system and "tweaked" the iPad a bit more ... Let me begin by saying that I am not an easy person to deal with. However, I very much try to provide as much information as possible when inquiring about services. So at the very least, I would hope that if I express that a situation is urgent & that I would appreciate continual updates so that I can make the necessary decisions & plans that will be affected by said service request, this bare minimum will be met. My laptop died in the wee hours of the morning one day & I was desperately trying find repair services that were open & that would be able to provide me with some baseline information as to how best to proceed recovering my potentially lost data. In my desperation, I called the 1st listing that came up in my area that was open. During the call, I explained my situation in detail. I was told to bring my computer by and that it would be examined. I was very clear & made sure that I explained the urgency of the situation. I was assured that there would be communication as updates became available. After about 4 hours of hearing nothing, despite numerous text messages & phone calls asking for updates, I finally got word that my hard drive was supposedly dead. I was informed that additional equipment would need to be ordered to determine if any data could possibly be extracted. At that point, I requested to pick up my laptop asap as I wanted a 2nd opinion. I expected to be able to pick up my computer immediately so as to still have enough time in the day for another technician to be able to diagnose & give me my options. Not only did I find a tech that was able to diagnose my laptop within an hour, but was able to extract all of the data on my hard drive within 24 hours. As a business owner myself, I understand difficult customers & trying to keep everyone satisfied. But because I am a business owner myself as well as a customer, I make every effort to be completely transparent from my initial connection to my last interaction, both as a customer as well as a service provider. I am always baffled as to how businesses manage to continue to exist despite failing to meet even the most basic of customer needs. I really dislike writing bad reviews, again & especially as a business owner. Having said this, I refuse to accept anything less than the "golden rule" of doing unto others. My hope is that said bad reviews are taken with the intent with which they are written. That is to say, I simply wish to give honest feedback as to my personal experience with the hope that it will help make other businesses better. read more

In October or November 2023, I paid Brandon to upgrade my older computer to Windows 10. My $150 landed in his pocket, but I didn't get what I paid for. I have been utilizing PC Friend for years now. I did become a little leery of his late night texts to me in the beginning that were inappropriate but he asked for me to give him the chance to earn my yelp review back because prior to the late nite texts I did give a 5 star review but then once the late nite texts happened all I did was delete my review. So over the years he has done a lot for me to make up for that bad behavior. I still have those late night texts but I never wanted to "post them" here because Brandon was trying to make up for the lapse in judgement. I texted Brandon & all I thought I needed was a new adaptor for my laptop. He asked me to take a picture of the adaptor & send it to him he then texts me the order # to go onto Ebay to order it. I don't go on Ebay at all but I have been going to Brandon for years so I trust that he is having me order the right adaptor & it is only $10. He picks up the laptop on a Friday because I have noticed the laptop turning off even though it states it has 1/2 a charge he tells me he thinks he has an adaptor @ his home to check it out. I don't hear from him all week end I text him what happened with the check up he tells me he didn't have the adaptor so the one I ordered from Ebay should be delivered Monday. He comes by my place it is the wrong adaptor he tells me you ordered the wrong one. I ordered what he told me to so now I have to pay to return it. He then states he will go to a "store" to buy me an adaptor right now he does but he doesn't call me to state the adaptor he is going to purchase costs $40. That is a big difference. He just comes back to my place stating the adaptor is $40 well I need my laptop so I purchase it he also then mentions do I feel $40 for his time is ok well at 1st I think no & he leaves. Half a day later I text him stating I do feel his time should be compensated & also I would like the receipt to the "store" he bought the adaptor from so that I can return it. He proceeds to text me that what a cost efficient idea for me to ask him to come back to my place to get the adaptor so that I can save a couple bucks well the purchase went from $10 to $40 so it was more than a couple bucks & I told him all you have to do is to send me the receipt & I will take care of the rest. He wouldn't have to do anything but forward the receipt to me. He then never responds to my texts. So I put in a reversal w/the credit card company he left me no choice. Well he then text me when he is informed by the credit card company of the reversal that he is so happy to see the "real me" and that "karma will get me" he says enjoy your free adaptor. Then he gets the credit card company to put the charge back. I have offered to pay him for his time but the credit card company stated that he should send a return receipt so that I could return the item. He again is not responding to my many texts. All I can think is if he truly bought the adaptor for $40 why not just send me the receipt so I can return it. I always wanted to keep our relationship professional from the beginning then I get inappropriate late night texts then all I do is delete my review he then asks to win back the review by doing me "favors" I never asked for those favors & now I have a $40 adaptor that I was never asked if it was ok to purchase it for that much, I have paid to return the one he advised me to order on Ebay & he will not respond to my text to send me the return receipt to return the item to him. All this over $40.... when all he had to do was send me the "store" receipt or send the return receipt per the credit card company. Again all I ever wanted was it to be professional but he really took it personally and he made it personal. This should be a -5 star review. Any business owner that puts such information in a response is so unprofessional & he did over charge me for the adaptor said go ahead & keep it then reversed his word so customers beware of Brandon because he will NEVER be professional. As you can see from Brandon's response to my professional review is to attack my religious beliefs & me personally. Single women beware he will text you late at night with very disturbing requests. Brandon claims to be happy to not have to deal with me anymore & keeps stating to keep an adaptor that I was overcharged for well thanks for allowing me to keep my purchase that you said I could have for free but then you had the charge reversed. Me thinks if any one is suffering from a mental issue it is a person who can't pay their rent over charges his customers sends racy texts after midnight & thinks that I was happy with his service over these years is diluted I was trying to give him the chance to as he stated to win back a good review after his lapse in character which now I see is not a lapse but his TRUE CHARACTER. Brandon, I am sorry to say, has an ethics problem. Brandon performed a tune-up on my PC and my experience was pretty much consistent with that of his other reviews, so not much to add there. The problem came about a day later, when I received an email from Google about the review I had posted about PC Friend. What! I had posted no such review; actually, it turns out that Brandon had done it. And of course, it was a five star review. That is identity theft! I told him about the iPad problems that I was having and he said that he was at another customer and would stop by after if that was okay with me (Sure!). He came over a little after 7:00pm (on a Saturday night) and took my iPad with him.
