This is a long, overdue review. I have an HP laptop that didn't work as well as it should have when I first purchased it. About a month into my purchase, the laptop was lagging, constantly rebooting or shutting down. Finally, it stopped working, so I called HP. The technician tried to find the cause of the issues and worked remotely, but he wasn't able to figure it out. Tony is a miracle worker. I had virus issues in November, which he fixed. Then I had a major problem with Norton Password Manager. It locked me out of business accounts. There is no customer service with Norton. Tony kept pursuing Norton and was successful. My PC is older Tony suggested a new drive to speed it up. Ivan and the staff were fantastic in finding my lost files. I purchased a used iMac from a different Torrance computer repair shop and shortly thereafter the hard drive failed. They replaced the hard drive but couldn't figure out how to restore my data. They said it was lost. Going on a gut feeling I decided to give PC Parlor a shot to recover them. Within 5 minutes they showed me that the files weren't lost at all but in a 2nd partition of the hard drive. The Issue: I needed my laptop fixed and after dealing with Geek Squad, and a couple of other places which I won't name due to them being a small business, I stumbled upon this place. The Yelp reviews don't lie!!! The Good: - Right when I called, the lady that I spoke to was super kind and helpful. You can generally tell by the tone of their voice. - I met Tony, and brought my laptop and fixed it in a couple minutes. I was expecting him to make up some BS to charge me but he took his time out and helped me fix it right on the spot. Under normal circumstances most people would hold onto your laptop and get to it later, only to have them bill you more than expected for additional services to didn't need. -After it was fixed, I asked him how much and he said Happy Thanksgiving! I asked him again and he wouldn't take my money. It cost money to run a business (especially a small business) and if the owner spends time with you while his other employees are fixing other computers I would at least expect to pay for that service. Thank you Tony. - I get a sense of honesty from Tony and his crew. The Bad: - Nothing. Side note: Any computer problems I have, this is the first place I'm calling. I was expecting to have to deal with another rude/mean rep but she was so sweet and funny and I drive right over.
