I had been having issues with my PC for quite a while, and I knew I needed to get more disc space, so I brought it into PC Parlor. Well, I not only got the additional disc space, but got personalized repair and restoration, as it turned out my whole Windows core was not running properly. I thought my inability to add pictures or open I-Tunes was just due to lack of space, but even after upgrading my disc space, these things wouldn't work properly, so I had to take it back in. Tony gave it his expert attention and took a lot of time to clear everything out and start me over, and get my key programs ready to go again, along with all my pictures, music, etc. I also got good attention from Ivan, and I cannot recommend this place more highly. read more

Tony fixed my old, but well loved tower. I was having issues upgrading to Windows 10 (yes, I was dragging my feet for the last few years) so I brought it in for installation. I spoke with three different people during the process of restoring my Macbook laptop. I understand fixing a computer and installing a hard drive isn't cheap, but I spoke to a female employee about how much the cost would be upfront. She gave me a total price that I thought was reasonable, but once I came in to pay I spoke with a different man and basically had to pay an extra $100 more than the price she told me. The man also made me feel like I was trying to cheat him or something when I was trying to explain to him the concern. Eventually, I felt very unconformable, paid and left. When I tried calling back to resolve the issue the female employee wasn't there. Eventually, I gave up. I felt like I was at a car mechanic that was trying to use clever wording to make you pay more. My daughter's laptop left corner top was separating from the bottom making it impossible to close the lid. Inside the screws on this Lenovo laptop were falling off by themselves. When it rains it pours...had several different computer issues in the past month. Tony and his team were awesome. Tried to fix it first without charging me (what????) but turns out it needed more help. But at least he tried! Engaged my 11 year old to help out which he got a kick out of. Another issue with images on a CD disk which he tried to help me with as well...just a great guy and great company. I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else to have their computer needs met. OK, so this is going to be a mixed review. First of all, my laptop was having some serious problems. It kept giving me the blue error screen with "STOP CODE: Memory Management" and rebooting itself whenever I tried running a program like the web browser or the diagnostics. It was super slow now and it had been getting slower and slower since I got it over a year ago. And there were many other issues going on as well. So I found PC Parlor on Yelp after looking through reviews and decided to give them a try. Tony answered immediately when I called (which is good) and he told me it was likely a bad hard drive. I decided to bring my laptop down to his shop so he could take a better look and give me an estimate on the repair cost. Well, it turned out to be nearly impossible to find this shop when I drove down to the area because there was no sign outside to indicate the name of the business or where it was located. I drove around a few times through 2 different shopping plazas looking for the place, and just couldn't spot the building number nor the shop's name anywhere. I called Tony again and was able to finally find the shop tucked away in the corner, I didn't know he had just moved to a new location and was still in the process of setting up so that's why there was no business name in front of the store. Tony took a look at the laptop and showed me how the hard drive was running at 100% capacity even though it had just been booted up and no programs had been opened, therefore it was a faulty drive. I decided to let him replace it with a new 1 TB drive even though my original drive was a 2 TB, I was a little disappointed because I wanted my laptop the same way it was when I got it but Tony assured me I didn't need all that storage space. He also assured me that I didn't need to worry about losing anything afterwards because he would do a point-to-point migration from the old drive to the new one, plus he would give me my old drive back. Well, the repair took a little longer than originally promised because Tony had some issues reinstalling Windows 10 since it still kept crashing. He decided to install Windows 11 and let the PC run overnight to see if it would crash again and Tony said everything went fine. When I went to pick up the laptop, Tony gave me really great service. I really appreciated that he listened to all of my concerns and walked me through how to get around those problems. My laptop was now super fast and he did a great job in explaining the diagnosis and the repair on the invoice, he said to let him know if I had any issues and he would help. I was really impressed with his service and hospitality at that point and I was ready to give a glowing 5-star review. Then, I got home and turned on the computer. Immediately, I noticed the changes. Everything was obviously not exactly the same as it was before as I was led to believe by Tony. The desktop and the display was different, since it was a new operating system and also since the wallpaper and everything had been deleted. I noticed that I was missing a lot of programs and applications. Tony neglected to mention to me before I agreed to the repair that I would have to reinstall everything I had on the laptop other than the files and browser settings that were migrated over. I would have to reinstall my printer drivers from the disc and set up my network connections and everything else. I really hate doing factory resets and reinstalls for this reason and I avoid it until it is a last resort because it is always such a frustrating experience to put everything back the way it was and I always end up losing something in the process. But in this case, it had to be done because the drive had failed. I tried looking for the Dell applications that I had on the computer before but they were all gone. When I searched for a way to download them online, it was a dead end. Most of them were likely no longer supported by Dell and when I questioned Tony about this, he became really difficult and kept asking why I wanted software that would take up space and cause problems later on. I explained that I just wanted my computer to be the same way it was when I first bought it, I didn't care that no one else has ever asked about the factory Dell software, I just wanted what I paid for when I bought this laptop. Tony did try to help look for some of it, we reinstalled Dell SupportAssist successfully but the others he didn't seem to want to bother with them. So, yes, it was like I got a brand new laptop like Tony said because it was super fast like in the beginning with a brand new operating system. But I felt disappointed because I lost half of my original hard drive space (yes, Tony said he would give me a 2 TB if I paid $100 extra but money was tight right now) and my computer did not look exactly the same as before I brought it in to his shop. Plus, Tony became harder to reach while we were trying to fix another issue and I felt neglected as a customer. read more

We were in dire straights because he has a trial coming up, and we were set to fly out of town early in the morning. Tony was AMAZING!!!! His staff recommended a new antivirus to me and was helpful in answering all my questions. He charged me $150 for 2 hours of work, super nice, and now my iMac runs like a champ! It was time for a new gaming rig, but I was not going to build it myself this time. I've been building my own PCs since the 90s, but I reached a point where I'd run out of patience with building them myself. I dropped the parts off Friday morning and picked up the rig Monday afternoon (the original tech going home sick delayed things a bit). I was in a pinch and needed to get a graphics card for a new pc that I was building, I called PC parlor and spoke with Tony. I explained that I needed a graphics card for one time use and asked if he had any secondhand cards for sale. To my surprise Tony said why buy a card, I will lend you one at no charge, just stop by and fill in some paperwork. I stopped by on Friday afternoon and the card was ready for pickup. My dude Tony saved my computer. The night before I visited PC Parlor I decided to install two new memory sticks. Easy enough, right? Just take out the one and put in the two. I turn off my pc, do just that. Hit that power button... Nothing. Checked to make sure that everything was plugged in and connected before panicking and lo and behold, everything checked out fine. Now in full on panic mode (googling on my phone tells me that I might've fried the motherboard [please Korean Jesus no]), I open up the Yelp app and find the best place to send my baby that I built from the ground up. Yelp brings me to PC Parlor, so I call before to make sure it's okay to bring it. They give me approval, I unplug my tower and make the dreaded drive to the Parlor. On the way, I'm thinking of all the money I'm gonna have to spend, how I should've backed up my PC (back up your electronics periodically, people!), the hassle of putting all the parts together... I finally get to the storefront and enter the place. Pretty cozy place, two people on my right behind computers answering phones and the greatest of all time, Tony, right in front of me. I tell him what happened, he takes the tower and hooks it up to speakers. I can't speak computer like Tony can but he does some PC wizard stuff and within minutes, he hits that power button and boom! My computer lights up, fans start whirring, and that lame default Windows 10 startup screen shows up on the monitor. Never have I been so happy to see such generic scenery. Tony was reluctant to even charge me since my problem was too ez for him so he just asked for 20 bucks to pay for lunch for the office. I gave him 40 since the feller just saved me a couple thousand. If I had friends I would recommend them here if they had computer issues. There is no other way to say it but, "This place is awesome!" Here's the story... My PC crashed. I took it in this morning at about 10:00 AM to be repaired. By 4:00 PM Corey called me, explained to me what the problem was, and said he would have it done in about an hour. I almost didn't believe him. Me, I expected this repair would take days if not a week or more like I have experienced at other computer repair shops. I didn't ask for expedited service or anything like that, he just got it done in a few hours. Amazing! To describe the place, it is a very nice facility located just off of Hawthorne Blvd. in the back of a business complex. It is easy to get to and they have a lot of parking. Inside it is clean, well organized, and you can see where the techs work on their individual projects. The staff is nice and knowable. Their prices are more than fair for what they can accomplish in a short amount of time. In fact, I am typing this review on the computer they fixed right now. Tony really cares about his business and cares about customer satisfaction. We brought a MacBook Pro in looking to get a part level repair done to fix the lcd. It took over a month to get the laptop back. However, this delay was due to various factors, none of which were Tony's fault. He was really good about reaching out to us and giving up updates throughout the whole process. The final diagnostic was that the whole display needed to be changed which would cost over 500 dollars. However, to make up for how long the process was taking, he ended up just giving us one of his MacBook pros that he had in the shop. So Instead of us having to pay 500+ dollars for an over priced display, he just gave us another comparable MacBook (and of course we got to keep our original MacBook)!
