Yelp reviews are spot on with this business. I needed to upgrade the HDD to an SSD on my 2013 late model iMac. Buying a newer upgraded iMac was not an option, and this desktop still runs great but needed a slight upgrade because it was starting to get sluggish. This place is amazing. They saved my $7000 PC build for $300. I tried to build the CPU myself, but missed a few things. The staff was able to tell me exactly why my build didn't work and solved all of the issues. Not only that, they were able to make my PC build better than I could have imagined. My Alienware gaming laptop had been lagging a lot recently, and over the past year it had been overheating to the point where it was burning my fingers. I assumed it was just getting older, and never considered getting it cleaned. It was on my sister's suggestion that I take it in to be cleaned, and that's how I found PC Parlor. They had overwhelmingly positive reviews, so I thought I'd give them a try. I've never been more shocked and overjoyed with the results!! I told them the overheating and lagging issue, and Tony promised to have the computer for me the next day. True to his word, it was ready! Unfortunately I was at work when it was done, so I couldn't pick it up until the following day. Tony went above and beyond by using the extra time to run FIVE benchmark videos on my computer simultaneously, letting it run all night to test if it would begin overheating. When I came to pick it up, I felt the computer myself and it wasn't hot at all! He not only disassembled the laptop to clean out the vents, but he and Ivan added a thermal grease inside of it because the original grease had gone dry and flaky. Tony showed me pictures of it (I was pretty grossed out at how bad it had become), and he was very kind about explaining everything in a professional manner, and wasn't judgmental as he showed me the photos. And the price? For them to disassemble the laptop, take photos, clean out the vents, detangle the fan, add the thermal grease, reassemble it, run it all night long, and to take the time to explain what they did and show me photos? Only $150. My computer runs beautifully now, and I feel safe leaving my computer with them anytime! PC Parlor is the only one I'll trust with my computer's needs from now on. read more

Owner reached out to discuss reimbursement for the bad customer experience, (issue was not fixed, key was damaged, why would a customer be charged $150 for this? It's like buying a defective product, you certainly should get a refund, plus the price was technically double what I was expecting) Owner also followed up, putting some words in my mouth. To be 100% clear, the other shop offered $180, which I declined. I'm not sure why he mentioned $250 as the comparison price. Either way, I would not have proceeded with the service if I had know it would be over $100. I declined the extra service to repair the one button that was damaged because, well, like I said this is a computer I rarely use. Updated review to 3 stars because the owner did reach out to correct the situation, and I do believe they generally would do a good job, in my case it was a bad experience though. Owner seemed confused as to why I also basically claimed the store associates didn't believe me - I'm not necessarily saying they don't believe me, but common sense would say look: this customer came in with a number in his head, (I knew the hourly rate, your min. amount, etc) so obviously I had comparison shopped. When I got the machine back and the price was $150, again that wasn't a huge deal by itself. But then the issue is not resolved. The keyboard is not more functional than it was before I brought it in, plus a key is gone. If you actually thought from the customer perspective, you'd agree that's a bad deal. Pay $50 more than I was told, and not solve the issue. I'm not saying the store didn't believe me, but either they didn't believe me or they thought as a business it was okay to charge someone $150 and not solve the issue. By the way, the owner also mentioned the laptop was returned a few days earlier than originally expected. That's irrelevant due to the above issues, and not a plus. I mean the issue wasn't solved, so who cares if they did it faster than anticipated? I had said I would come on Mon to pick it up, I was out of town and couldn't come in before then, so this is not something which needs to be mentioned. He also mentioned he offered to replace the entire keyboard for free. That's just throwing money at the problem. I'm not trying to get a new/free keyboard at all. Owner mentioned "you can't please everyone", which again missed the point. I didn't ask them to do anything extra, I just expected a professional experience where the business acknowledges their fault instead of deflecting. If they truly did believe me, the tone would be much more apologetic and sincere. Which I did not get. I also offered to bring the laptop in to show them that the issue still persists. There is very minimal improvement, and it objectively still has the same issue. Multiple keys stick and you cannot type quickly with this keys. This was the issue before and it still persists. I cannot prove I was given the offer of $100 over the phone, but again if management believed me, the tone would be very different. I've wasted way more time than I should on this, but I also believe the only way to improve is to actually listen and learn from your mistakes. I hope this helps management learn from this experience so it doesn't happen again in the future. Make sure to double confirm the estimate/payment before you leave the shop! read more

Best service you can find! Much more than just a computer repair shop! Bought parts to build 2 custom gaming PCs. I began to put it together myself and while I could have done it, cable management becomes a serious issue for it to look legit. Tony at PC Parlor said no problem and to bring it in. Ivan worked on both systems and he did a great job! Ivan provided sound advice and let me know i was missing some items. They ordered it right there and as soon as they came in, got it up and running! Could not be happier with them and they charge a very reasonable price to put it together! I know several people that will be coming to them to build their gaming PC's as soon as they can get their hands on those elusive graphics cards! :D We built a top of the line dual set with RTX 3090's and RGB everything and Ivan made it look so clean! My home desktop PC had a software crash and I thought it was time to wipe it clean and update the OS. I called PC Parlor to see if this work was something that they handled and to get an idea of what it would cost me. Tony answered the phone and, after thoroughly listening to me to get an idea of my issue, he tried everything he could over the phone in the most helpful way possible to guide me in performing the job myself to save on costs. I admitted that I didn't know anything about PCs or Windows and that I could use the help by simply bringing it into the shop. He opened up his schedule and told me I could come by with my PC ASAP. When I arrived, I received immediate assistance from his teammate Ivan. Having read a short blurb on Tony's website about his background, I got to talking with him and learned that Tony was a Petty Officer 1st Class (E-6) in the United States Navy. Being an Air-Force guy myself, we instantly hit it off and exchanged some stories about all the best bases & places we'd been to. What I also gleaned was that Tony made E-6 in just six years of total active federal military service (TAFMS). If you know anything about the enlisted force structure then you'd know that's nearly unheard of/impossible in today's military. A person must be sharp, intelligent, and an extraordinary craftsman in his military specialty to achieve such a milestone so quickly. But it was no surprise to me--Tony was very friendly, very savvy, and very respectful. My PC was ready for pick-up after just an hour and a half. I probably shouldn't say this, but since the scope of work was so minimal, Tony insisted that I only pay him a fraction of the price he quoted me over the phone. I just had my laptop screen repaired. My 5 year-old daughter accidentally dropped the laptop, which broke the LCD touchscreen display. I found PC Parlor on Yelp, and gave the business a call. Tony answered my call, and was kind to assess the computer and give an estimate, which was very kind because he said That I can stop by even though it was past closing time. The repair was well done and took 3 business days to finish the repair. The screen and display works great, as if nothing happened. Tony provided great service, great information about the repair, great communication about updates of the repair, and the repair went well. Tony also said that he can upgrade the hard drive if I wanted to in the future since I showed him that it was a little slow. Got the dreaded blue screen of death and found PC Parlor on yelp. Based on all the great reviews, I decided to take my workstation there. I let Ivan and Tony know my situation and they were able to figure out the issue and fix it very quickly. Unfortunately a few other (new) issues then popped up and I had to bring the unit back. They were able to resolve those issues as well and didn't charge me extra for it, which I really appreciated. Tony even put in some work over the weekend (they're usually closed) and Ivan went as far as setting up my Synology server and VERY patiently answered all my (very) annoying questions. Hello, I am a computer programmer/software engineer. I know how to write a new computer program but when I need my computer repaired, I take it to Tony's repair shop. I've used Tony for years and he is super honest and very thorough. I remember some time ago about 20 years ago. I brought him my desktop and I told him to double my memory. When I returned to pick up my computer, I asked How Much do I owe you? He said no charge. Why? Because the computer I had was using contained maximum memory. It was built into the PC. It will show you it contains the newly added extra memory. But the computer does not actually use any extra memory. This was unique to only this model. The next day I called the computer manufacturer and asked if there was a way to add additional memory to this PC. After waiting twenty minutes online (telephone) the desktop associate told me you cannot add additional memory to this computer model. The help desk associates had to look this one up he, told me he did not know this, and that it was something they just learned. After that, whatever Tony tells me I believe it. So yes, do, I recommend Tony's PC Parlor! YES, I DO. read more
