AMAZING! I am super rough on my laptops (and super accident-prone). PC parts and Services have served me SO WELL. I dropped my cell phone on my new ThinkPad laptop screen and did what I thought was basically impossible-- destroyed the screen. Took it to Kevin, who I had ordered parts from before. He knew what to do, ordered the parts and you cannot even tell anything was repaired at all. Not a scratch or pry mark or anything. When I picked up my ThinkPad, I brought him my gore of another laptop (an rare type of the HP Envy 360) that had some major screen issues (dropped, half-repaired, manufacturing flaw, screen disconnecting, bent hinges). A little bit more of a challenge, but the guys there did not bat an eye. Got my little HP back in a week in a half, and it looked again, brand new-- could not even tell that they had basically replaced the entire half of my screen. Repair costs were all 100 percent reasonable, and Kevin is super up-front about costs and pricing. If something costs more than expected or they run into an unexpected issue, they will let you know asap. Outside of repairs, they also sell new and previously-owned retail, and all types of accessories, so if you are looking for a great local small business to support, this is the one. I one hundred percent will take my PCs and laptops no where else. These guys are trustworthy and great at what they do, and are honestly, providing a great service to our community. I started receiving a "One of your fans is not operating properly" message on my desktop computer. My own investigation showed that it was the heat sink fan. They replaced the fan, upgraded my hard drive, installed an auto-backup hard drive, cleaned / serviced my computer, and it now runs better than new. My PC took a dive and I suspected a motherboard had fried. I called Kevin at PC Parts and he said to bring it in when they opened at 10 am the following day, which I did. I really like this machine I built in 2015. I asked if the MB was toast could he find something compatible. As luck would, he did and he and Robert had me back in business by 3pm. This used to be my go-to place for computer parts and repairs. As of my visit last year--no more. A cooling fan in my HP laptop went out and I brought the laptop in for the fan to be replaced. I'm a certified PC tech but I was never trained on laptops since their internal design is different from desktop computers. When I picked up the laptop, there was a guy there I'd never seen before. He was the kind of guy who loved to talk and talk and talk--about himself. In my opinion he jumped over the line between pleasant conversation and inappropriate and unprofessional talk. I politely listened and finally managed to pay my bill and leave the store. When I powered on the laptop, the fan was extremely loud--the loudest cooling fan I'd ever heard in any computer. I thought that was by design because, as I said, I've never repaired laptops. After a few weeks, there would be times I'd power on the laptop and see a warning screen that no cooling fan was detected and using the computer could permanently damage it. I was able to get the fan going by powering the laptop on and off many times over a 20 minute period when finally the fan would start and all was well, The fan would work for a week until the time I'd turn on the computer and would see that warning screen again. I didn't take the laptop back to PC Parts because a) I didn't want to deal with that guy again and b) I thought it was a short in the electrical system of the laptop since the computer is a few years old. I knew the fan was new so I never considered the fan itself to be the problem. But the day finally came when the fan refused to come on no matter how long I tried. That's when I took the laptop to a computer repair place in town. That tech told me that the loud fan noise wasn't normal. Laptop cooling fans are quiet and they change speed as required by the temp inside the computer case. That made perfect sense because with all the cooling fans I've installed in desktops, I've never heard one turning unless I was connecting cables into rear ports. found that whoever had installed the fan in my laptop had crushed two pins together within the same connector socket. That's where the high speed and noise of the fan came from, as well as the ongoing electrical shorting out. He replaced the fan and now, almost two months later the fan continues to operate normally--and quietly. Admittedly this was my first bad experience there, but here is why I decided not to return the laptop for the warranty repair. To me, it's obvious the tech never powered on the laptop to test the fan. Had he done so, he would have heard the fan turning at an abnormally high, constant speed and the loud noise of the motor, instantly recognizing it had been installed incorrectly, He then would have fixed the problem on the spot. As i wrote, I heard that loud fan the first time I switched on the laptop. The tech at the second repair shop did test the laptop as well as providing a warranty--AND he gave me the old fan back, something PC Parts failed to do. Yes, the original PC Parts repair was still under warranty, but a warranty doesn't matter to me if I no longer trust a place to provide quality service. They lost my business, and for me that's a shame because for years they were the only computer parts and repair shop I trusted. But with that repair--and that guy who would not stop talking about his personal life--sadly, it is no longer the case. read more

I Definitely would recommend this place. I took my laptop in because the keyboard wasn't working. The basic fee was $35. He carefully explained the possible problems and gave a verbal estimate of possible costs. It all depended on what the problem was. He called within the hour said it was fixed. It was just a stuck key. I was happy to pay the $35 plus tax to pick up my now working computer!!! I love that he didn't charge anything beyond the basic fee - since it was an easy fix. I know some places would have added something to the base fee. He didn't. I really appreciate that. I will definitely go back again. read more

WOW- this place is amazing!! Highly recommend this shop! I've never experienced such amazing customer service when going through tech problems. I was having issues powering on my MacBook Air and Kevin was able to do a reset, open up the computer to take a look at the motherboard. A quick removal of the battery, and boom it was resolved and powered on. It took less than 5 minutes, and he explained what he was doing each step of the way. He was super helpful & knowledgeable. I haven't experienced this excellent level of customer service anywhere else! This will be my go-to spot for any and all computer issues. read more
