I brought in my broken thumb drive for data recovery on a Tuesday on Thanksgiving week. Eman said there was no reassurance if they can even do the job since my thumb drive was broken in that part where you stick it in the port on the computer. I was quoted $75 and that was how much I had to pay also. I am giving them 5 stars because Sam worked to reconnect my usb drive on Thanksgiving day and I got it that same day. This shop is fantastic. In a panic when my daughters laptop stopped working I called around and this was the only shop that answered my phone call. It was very late at night but the shop owner said he will see what he can do for her. She had her final the next day and all her research was in her computer with no back up! I was very impressed by his caring and understanding that this kind of things do happen. Needless to say he spent the next 4 hours going all over the laptop, he was able to save her final research paper with a great advise to always backup important material. He never charged extra for after hour work. After this episode i used this stores for first purchasing a new laptop, then for other technical questions. He is always willingly available. Excellent staff. My computer wouldn't start and now not only does it work but David has fixed the update function which could have a billion solutions. When I asked him to recommend certain purchases he was very helpful and I am happy about that because it saves me a lot of time. Then when I go online to research or see how they work I realize it was a great decision. David is concerned about doing the right thing and the reputation of the business. I was considering buying a new computer versus investing in my older one but the new one's have a totally different interface and my concern is to be familiar with things and get going. Plus, the way my computer is designed is comfortable; it's just a nice design; I knew it the second I saw it; and for what you will spend you should feel that way or not buy....also if they aren't at Costco it can turn into a real time consuming project. So, I was able to do everything I needed to on time. With their skills and experience it's the place to go. I cannot speak any more highly of Eman. My computer got a nasty virus, 3 days before my wedding. I am not the best owner, and all of my wedding information was imprisoned on my hacked computer and inaccessible. Eman saved my life and my business this week! I was in a complete panic when my HP laptop was suddenly infected with a virus and I couldn't access any of my documents. I chose PC Tech based on Yelp reviews and because it was close to my home. Eman was calm and reassuring, telling me that he deals with virus removal all the time and that he would be able to restore my computer with "no problem." He finished the job in less than four hours, including installing Kaspersky anti-virus software and also running a full scan of my backup external hard drive to make sure it wasn't infected, too. I used them twice within a span of two weeks, and both times I was beyond impressed by the results and quick turn around. The first time I brought in my ASUS laptop after I had accidentally damaged it whilst trying to replace its internal battery. Wires had snapped, a small copper port popped out from the mother board, and the monitor itself was completely disconnected from the keyboard/motherboard. I was so sure that I would have to get a replacement computer, but when I handed over my laptop to them, they not only fixed the laptop and replaced the battery, but they did so on the same day, less than 2 hours after I first dropped it off. The second time, I needed help installing both Ubuntu onto a secondary hard drive on my laptop, such that I could have a workable dual-boot system. When taking my laptop in, they did a test to make sure that installing Ubuntu wouldn't affect the way my main Windows OS worked. They found that both of my current hard drives were linked to each other, and if one of them got wiped out, then the other wouldn't be able to boot up anymore either. Thanks to this discovery, I was able to plan out a course of action on what my next steps should be, as well as have time to properly back up my data on my Windows SSD. The next day, we were able to properly install Ubuntu on one drive, and reinstall Windows on the other with no problems. If I had taken my laptop to GeekSquad, they wouldn't of even bothered doing the same bootloader test, and I would have ended up losing all my data whilst paying more in the process. Overall, these guys are real professionals. They clearly know what they're doing, unlike some other places, and will provide you with amazing quality service with a super-quick turnaround. read more

After calling around to all the "big" places for a laptop battery replacement, I was so fortunate to find Eman. Not only did he walk me through finding the right and best-priced battery on Amazon, but he also assured me that he could change the battery within 45 minutes. The other "big" places wanted ONE WEEK and $300 to do a job Eman charged less than 1/3 that price for. When I got there, he noticed my mousepad wasn't working and gave me an unbeatable price to fix it (less than the cost of dinner). There was something wrong with the power port on my Alienware laptop. I had to have the power cord propped and shoved in certain ways in order to receive power. Obviously, this is wrong and not a good long term solution, so I began looking for repairs. PC Tech and Repair is close to my apartment, their prices are very reasonable and I received my laptop back in just ONE DAY. It wasn't a hassle to talk with the repair guy as he was very willing to make sure I understood what repairs had been made, He also let me test it out in the shop to make sure it was working. I greatly appreciated not being rushed through this. Now my port is secure and holds the power cord tightly. I broke the DC jack on my Toshiba laptop and could not charge battery. I went to Geek Squad, but they told me they don't fix these issues.
