I found an office down the street that has the BEST receptionist and customer service. PCH dental never mentioned my health , my blood sugar or blood pressure. They never once mentioned any details. I had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. The staff seemed rushed and unorganized, and I felt like my concerns weren't really listened to. The appointment started late, and when I finally saw the dentist, the explanation about my treatment was brief and unclear. Dr. Archie was great! She was so easy going and had a great sense of humor. With all the negative reviews I read, I was very nervous about my father coming to this dentist. But he's the one that picked this place and I was just reading the reviews as I'm waiting with my him in the waiting room with feeling of regrets and fear at that moment with an uh oh feeling.. I was paying attention to their every move like I was dealing with an used car salesman. Finger crossed, everything to be good. But, thank goodness all was great! Dr. Archie was so delightful to work with. They allowed me to sit in the room with my dad and watch them do an extraction. She was honest and recommended an extraction and not a root cana lsince the tooth was already too decayed, even though she would make more money on the root canal. Dr. Archie was so patience with my dad as he has some funny questions for the Dr. She was understanding and humorous to make us less tense. Dad said there was no pain during the procedure and she was quick. She recommended a bone graph but Dad didn't want it and she didn't push us at all. It was just her recommendation. There were some error in his insurance and they worked with us and still did the procedure and will re apply for approval. So far so good, he will be back next week to follow up and awaiting for some other approvals to get other procedures started. I even asked the doctor for some consultation and may even bring my business to them as well as referring my sister and a friend who are looking for good dentists in the South Bay area. read more

UPDATED REVIEW AS OF 6/27/2025: IT DISAPPOINTS ME TO WRITE THIS HOWEVER I WILL NOT BE FAKE ABOUT THIS. I REALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS MY "DENTAL FAMILY" BUT SADLY.. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I spent well over estimated wise $3,000 for services within the last 45 days UPFRONT due to my insurance plan. I was informed that they would work with me for a simple tooth extraction with their 3rd party dentist. The price is $500.00 I literally paid them $250 yesterday with the intention to pay the rest within 2 weeks (IF THAT) it would've been paid. I have never asked for no hand outs when it came to paying for my services from them that I needed In the past and the recent past. I got a call today from got a call today from the returning receptionist (you know who u are).. advising me that I needed to pay the rest of the payment upfront 5 hours before my scheduled appointment backstory: (when I first came to this dentist, HER and I did not mesh well energetically and it still remains the same. She has a Condescending verbiage that comes off as "professional" & that she is being "nice" it's distasteful & this also adds on to me neeeeeever coming back here tf again). Anyway, I had to max out a credit card just to ensure that I got this work done because the person they use to pull out the wisdom tooth is only available once a month. Which also sent me back on other things that I have going on I should've been told this in advance otherwise I would've just chucked it up and found someone else. I paid them upfront before I get the service, I arrive and I definitely feel some type of way not gonna lie so it's best for me to keep quiet. As usual.. Jolie was a sweetheart and I hold a lot of respect to her and the young lady Jennifer (sadly, Jennifer was not there today). These ladies have always been kind, respectful and professional in their delivery with me and always on top of their job duties. So at Cherry dental today, I get the service done. I'm told that I'll get my pain medication. Usually, when the pain medication comes in, I pick it up from my local CVS. It is now 9:00 PM as I write this - Face puffy, No Pain Medication! no one has responded to my text prior to me asking about my medication when I left at like 7:30- 7:45pm and there were two receptionist there.. the returned receptionist and the other lady, (I forgot her name). Plus they still had another patient there waiting to receive work as well. Nonetheless, based on the aforementioned interaction I spoke of above, my last text to them was confirming that I will be updating my review (which is here now) and that I find this to be unacceptable on all levels. I'm going elsewhere where I'm not blindsided and there's GOOD Business ethics. They definitely lost a Loyal Client. The 3 stars are only applied for Jennifer and Jolie, Respectfully. read more

Dental patients please be careful! Sadly, I went to here after my mom recommended it. She really loved the dental staff at first, because the location was convenient and they seemed friendly. Each time I went they made me wait and wait and wait some more. One day my mom was there for 6 hours. When I was in the chair for a crown replacement I was there for about 4 hours. My mom had a root canal and the staff misaligned her 80-something jaw so she was in pain to eat for almost a year. She couldn't use one side of her mouth for a year! But this is why my blood boils: the cost was so high we both ended up on payment plans thrust at us by the office manager even though we both have dental insurance. So, now we owe the most abyssmal company named Comenity Bank's dental credit scam company called Smile Generation. What was going to cost $800 is now double for me, with a side of harassing calls from debt collectors. Please do yourself a favor and seek professional mental help before you go to PCH Dental. Professional service, quality care and affordable prices are elsewhere. Even if you have insurance, PCH Dental will find some way to charge you out of pocket to the maximum of whatever they think they can get. If you are a patient of this place, get a second opinion on whatever these clowns recommend. read more

First time coming to this dentist due to insurance change. They did X-ray, deep cleaning and two crown all in the same day. I was there a long time. She explain what need to be done and they take care credit. It was very pricey since I'm not working right now. I wish I could just hold off on doing the crowns. Not even a month later, the zirconia crown fell off. I had crowns from my previous dentist and it last over 10 years and never fell off. I'm going to make an appointment with my previous dentist since I change my insurance back to him. I hope he can just recement it back. I just hope that I don't have to do a brand new crown because it was very expensive for me. I'm very disappointed. I even called and left a message and text as well when the crown fell off and still no feedback. I don't recommend anyone coming here. I feel like they just want your money. The assistant that put on the crown was filing other tooth during the placement of the crown as well. She made a comment "that crown will need to be replace anyway". She just start filing without explaining. In my past experience, it's the dentist who put and make sure the crown fits perfectly and NOT the assistant. I had to take my grandma because this was the one the insurance assigned her. The office was clean and cute and i asked the lady to call me when she was done because I had to leave. The lady called me twice once to ask me if I wanted to get the credit and again because my grandma would not accept any treatment till I came back. They waited for me for 10 min. I have been in dentist offices where they are trying to get people in and out. I felt that so nice and helped me so much. my grandma is elderly and need allot of work and cleaning amd instead of telling me to come back they said they woul take care of her. Plainly I don't like dentists and avoid them at all costs, a sentiment I inherited from my mom. She has been in severe pain after an unfortunate experience listening to a different dentist who had been benefitting from her desperation for relief and insurance by making her undergo several unnecessary solutions. We chose PCH Dental simply because it was a location convenient for her as a mid-70s heart condition and stroke survivor who couldn't go too far from her home, and, at the time, a 9-months pregnant mom (myself). After calling and making an appointment on Friday we were seen by Dr. Archie that following Monday. This review is about my experience as my mom's caretaker and my mom's experience as a patient. The staff was incredibly organized and the office was warm and inviting. Dr. Archie herself came and introduced herself as her next patient was being prepped. She sat down next to my mom in the waiting room, as we were the only patients out there at the time, to briefly understand what the issues were. She reassured my mom that she'll take all the concerns she listed into consideration during the exam. She first asked if there were any accessible x-rays that she can obtain if redoing an X-ray was uncomfortable for my mom, but my mom agreed to redo it and was immediately prepped for that while she attended to her patient. Dr. Hanna also said hello and welcome as she was checking in with her front office between patients. Dr. Archie carefully explained what she was observing to my mom and pointed out clearly where she was seeing the issues using the X-ray and then a display gum. She thoroughly explained the options, which included the benefit and follow-up requirements of each. She discouraged my mom from several unnecessary procedures that had previously been recommended by her other dentist. In the end my mom walked out telling me she had never been more comfortable with a dentist in all of her years of searching for one. The procedures themselves, even minor ones, were done or overseen by Dr. Archie, as were the follow-ups, as she was aware of my mother's discomfort and, bluntly put, initial lack of desire to be there. And most importantly she took all of my mom's existing conditions and medication into careful consideration when making her recommendations, and had her staff reach out to her cardiologist when making decisions that needed his input. As a caretaker I experienced a very smooth insurance and paperwork process since my mom had just switched insurance and I wasn't fully aware of her dental benefits. The office staff took care of me personally asking me if I needed any hydration and was comfortable waiting (it was during a heat wave). They explained the insurance benefits and what options are and aren't covered. My mom has been back for every one of her follow ups without any of the resistance she usually offers when dealing with dentists. And based on the care level I saw, Dr. Archie now has 3 future patients - myself, my two year old, and my youngest when he's ready. I can't recommend PCH Dental and Dr. Archie and her staff enough. read more

Terrible dentist but fantastic staff. Dr. Hanna's behavior was unprofessional and unethical. She required that I undergo multiple operations for my teeth that were unnecessary. Although I did not know it at the time, I was skeptical by her unconcerned attitude and asked for further clarification on why those operations were necessary. She breezed through the answer then proceeded to ask me about my credit score because she knew my insurance wouldn't cover the charges. In all my experience with dentists, I have never had a dentist ask about my credit score. That was a major red flag and demonstrated her lack of concern for my personal well-being. Instead, she was more worried about making a profit. When I told her I did not want to share that information, she provided alternative means to pay for the charges. I told her I would think about it. The X-Ray was then taken and I waited in a different room for further evaluation from Dr. Hanna. That evaluation was never properly communicated to me so I ended up waiting in the room for over 40 minutes. Frustrated by this, I brought up the situation to the front desk and the receptionist kindly helped me to remind the dentist. When Dr. Hanna came into the room, I addressed her lack of professionalism and failure to care for her patient. I also brought up the fact that I waited for a ridiculous amount of time and she did not offer any updates about what was going on. Of course, she was defensive but eventually apologized for the lack of communication. Things went much faster after that. Due to my skepticism about her diagnosis, I shared my patient information (including x-rays) with my dentist back home. I also went to a different clinic to see a dentist for another opinion. Both dentists told me that the operations that Dr. Hanna required were unnecessary. In conclusion, Dr. Hanna tried to convince me to undergo multiple procedures that would've cost well over $1000. Those procedures were not necessary according to two separate opinions by different dentists. Dr. Hanna asked for my credit score to run a charge against me (major red flag). She was unconcerned about my financial and personal needs. Her lack of communication resulted in an additional 40 minutes of wait time that was completely unnecessary. She was defensive when I confronted her but eventually admitted her mistake about communication. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this clinic and I highly advise those considering to stay away. read more

When I needed work done on my teeth I went here and the mother was saying how I needed 3 root canals, and 6 cavities. They were about to make us pay 8,000$ right there even when we had med-cal. Both the daughter and mother were pressuring us to pay right there and then. We just did a cleaning that was 80$, and then later that day my father called his friend who is a dentist he then told us to come into his office to do ex-rays.
