Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. I want to clarify a few important points for the sake of accuracy. After my treatment, when I experienced cracked skin, I immediately contacted the office, sent photos, and was told by Jacqueline that she would speak to the doctor and get back to me. I never received a follow-up. The following Monday, I called again. Only after I posted my Yelp review did I finally hear back not with medical guidance, but with multiple requests to remove my review. First, I was contacted by Kim, who introduced herself as the office manager and offered me a refund in exchange for taking down my review. I declined respectfully, as I was not seeking a refund. Shortly after, I received a personal phone call from the doctor, explaining that he was "hurt" by my review. I told him clearly that I was not removing it and wished him well. The doctor also stated that my message and photos were never relayed to him, which may be true but as a patient, I should not have to chase down communication with my physician. That is the responsibility of the practice. Later, Jacqueline called me again to apologize for not relaying the message. When that approach did not work, I received yet another text message from a man named Robert, also identifying himself as the office manager, again asking me to remove my review. At that point, I replied in writing that this was harassment and stalking, and I asked for the communication to stop. Only then did the doctor choose to publicly reply here on Yelp. The fact remains. instead of reflecting on this as a teachable moment about patient communication and aftercare, the response I received was dismissive and defensive. I stand by my experience and my review. I truly hope that moving forward, the doctor can learn from this situation and improve communication with future patients, so they do not go through what I experienced. EDIT: to be clear - Dr. K did half of the treatment while nurse he supervised the other half. When I arrived, I asked the front who would be doing the injections and she just said don't worry they are all nurses and doctors and I'd be in "good hands". To say Dr. K didn't do the treatment at all is false. However, there is risk to treatment, but something that can be controlled is how patients are treated. I'm sure he knows his anatomy like any other doctor should, but professionalism, attention to detail, accountability, and listening to patients' concerns can be improved! Wonderful experience, had laser work done on my eye area for light wrinkling, was very pleased with the results. This was the second treatment in a series of two treatments done 3 weeks apart. There was a marked difference after one treatment. My left eye was worse than the right eye and the difference is amazing. She excited to see what the end result will be.
