Rating: 4.75/5 I…read morerecently had my Subaru tinted with Llumar FormulaOne "Stratos" series at Tint Plus, and overall, I'm really happy with the experience. From the start, the initial call was helpful, and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The manager was great--he was patient, informative, and really took the time to walk me through the options. I opted for the higher-end Stratos series, with 70% tint on the windshield and sunroof, and 30% on the sides. I went with the 30% on the sides for a good balance between looks and function, though in hindsight, I might have gone with a 40% or 50% just to reduce the chance of being pulled over. But that's a subjective decision, and I can still see fine at night with the 30%, so it works. After having the Stratos for a while, I'll admit that I didn't notice as much of a difference as I expected between it and a high-quality ceramic film. If I were to do it again, I'd probably consider going with their regular ceramic for the side windows and keep the Stratos on the windshield and sunroof, where it does feel like a noticeable upgrade in terms of heat rejection and clarity. There were some small air bubbles in the tint, particularly on the sunroof, but I gave it a little time. When they didn't go away, I gave the shop a call. They were really accommodating, and the manager had no hesitation in bringing me in to replace the sunroof tint. I appreciate how they handled this--it's hard to get tint perfect every time (unless you're working in a clean room), but they were eager to make sure I was satisfied, which goes a long way in my book. One minor hiccup was that the price I was quoted online was a bit different than what I was told in the shop. The website has some helpful details, but it showed a car sunroof (rather than a small SUV), which resulted in a higher price. Not a huge deal, and I understand that things can get mixed up, especially with a newer website. When I brought it up in-store, they gave me an upfront quote that was just a little higher than expected (maybe around $70 more), but they were clear about it, and they also offer a nice military veteran discount. I didn't push them to honor the online price because I felt the situation was understandable and fair. Another nice touch was that they use professional software for invoicing, which I didn't see at another shop I've worked with in the past. It adds a level of professionalism that I really appreciated. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, with a waiting area and a restroom. I liked that they had a display showing all their tint options, plus a helpful booklet with examples, so I could see how different tints would look in my car before making a final choice. When I came back for the replacement tint, I was told it would take about an hour. However, I didn't hear anything for a few hours, so I called and was informed that the job was actually done and ready. A small communication hiccup, but no big deal--just something to keep in mind. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect 5-star (4.75 out of 5, though I did round up) review is the small price discrepancy, the initial bubble issue, and the slight difference I noticed with the Stratos compared to ceramic, but considering how quickly they addressed everything and how great the overall experience was, I'm still very satisfied. They truly care about customer service, and I'd definitely recommend Tint Plus if you're looking for a quality tint job with fair pricing, professional service, and great attention to detail.

Saturday morning I called and spoke with Andrew who said they were closed for the Easter weekend but could schedule me for Monday. I was a little nervous about waiting, so Andrew gave me tips on how to minimize the risk of it becoming a full crack in the meantime. He also gave me a quote and what their pricing included, warranty, etc. Monday came and Jack called as anticipated, giving me a 45-minute notice of his arrival. I was out for a walk at the time, but Jack graciously offered to wait the few minutes it would take for me to get back. Jack was very thorough in explaining all the "need to knows" - i.e., repair procedure, including possibility of the chip turning into a crack during the process, the warranty, and payment details (being explicit about a 3% charge for using a credit card). Within 30 minutes Jack was done and at which time I paid their very reasonable $149 charge, again going over the warranty and protocol for receiving a receipt. Would definitely recommend Auto Glass Kings for chips. Hopefully I never need a new windshield, but if I do I know who to turn to first!

I was worried that it would get worse and contacted Drew immediately. He had been referred by a friend so I never even checked Yelp. Sent 4 pictures and he quoted me within 30 mins. I live in Irvine and he said he'd be happy to come up to me but once I found out that I'd be closer to him for work, we scheduled a meetup point that was both closer to him and convenient for myself. A true professional. Covered my entire windshield to make sure no glass or resin would get stuck on top or seep through into the engine. Explained what and why he was doing what he does. His quote was so good I didn't even compare prices. He assured me that upon completion, my windshield would not be damaged further, and save the cost and hassle of an entire windshield replacement. Once we set up the appointment he called to confirm. Upon arrival he revised the entire windshield and found two smaller issues on the windshield. Nothing major but he said, "I'll take it care of it since I'm here." IMO screw the big companies and go with a small business owner with better prices and FAR more experience than a newbie hired by the bigger companies. Ultimate professional and will only be doing business with him for any future windshield issues.
