Alex remembered our house, though it had easily been about 5 years since he'd been out to us. My daughter & I both spoke with Alex. He gave us a quick rundown of what they were going to do. He relocated her temporary registration/VIN decal & showed her where he was putting it in the car so she could replace it later. (Ironically, she received her permanent plates that same day.) The guys completed the work & were out in just a little over an hour. And it was all done in my driveway! That's worth any price! Speaking of prices, theirs were very comparable to other places my husband called- except for SafeLite. ‍ Their price was more than double what United quoted & their quote that was emailed to us was very shady looking, as the amounts didn't add up at all! We have a $1k deductible & United charged $825 out the door. We have comprehensive coverage but decided to pay out of pocket, as she was at fault recently for breaking the front axle on her previous car where insurance deemed it a total loss. (Teenagers! ) We decided to keep our name out of the insurance office for a bit & cover it on our own! I noticed a couple of Subaru Foresters that took over 3 hours because the calibration on those cars is known to be pretty slow. My appointment was at 1 pm, and they all seem to take a lunch break from 12-1, so the earlier you come, the better your chances of getting in quickly. The facility itself is pretty plain, uncomfortable seats, and it could really use some desks or workstations if people need to get stuff done. They didn't restock the coffee pods and the vending machine was broken. Since I went on a Saturday, nothing was open nearby. The location isn't near anything, so you'd have to Uber somewhere if you want to grab food or do anything else. I was thinking about heading to The Spectrum, but at $20 one way (only 3 miles away), that was a no-go. They should definitely upgrade the waiting room experience, more comfort, some amenities and I think they'd get much better reviews. Overall, good work on the car, but the waiting situation could use some improvement.
