I needed my windshield replaced on my 2013 corolla due to a giant crack. Derek was prompt in communication and made the process very easy. Pricing was more than fair. I live in an apartment complex so driveway/parking space was limited, but he suggested to find a spot in the street nearby. Highly recommended!

Before

Had one large and a smaller chip from my road trip on the Alcan Highway in Alaska. Several gravel sections along the way, almost guaranteed to get chips. Gave Derek a call after I got back to CA. He came out to my work in a couple hours, was very informative on the fix and took about 30 min to repair both chips. I was amazed at the results! I could barely see the damage. Price, service and result was excellent. Don't look anywhere else.

Ask the Community - Clearside Auto Glass

Hello, May I ask if your company installs rubber seal around front windshield for Toyota Camry? We replaced window years ago due to crack but the original rubber seal is deteriorating. Thank you!

What year was the camry built?

Hi, Do you accept Allstate insurance claims on a small windshield crack to repair?

I am on the list of approved shops to do the repair but unfortunately they haven't updated their pricing in over 15 years. I charge $95 for repair but they will only pay $65. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A few years ago, I had my windshield replaced by another shop because it was a little cheaper. They rushed the job, reused old molding, and didn't prep the surface correctly. The windshield looked fine at first, but after the first heavy rain I started noticing water leaking inside my car. Later I learned that shortcuts like poor cleaning, improper primer application, or not allowing the adhesive to cure properly can lead to leaks, wind noise, and even reduce the windshield's ability to protect you in an accident. When I went to OC Windshields, they took the time to explain the entire process. They showed me why quality urethane adhesive matters, why proper preparation is so important, and why rushing a windshield installation can create problems down the road. I realized I wasn't just paying for a piece of glass I was paying for safety, experience, and peace of mind. Sometimes the cheapest option ends up costing more. After seeing the difference firsthand, I can honestly say the quality was worth every penny. If you're getting your windshield replaced, don't just compare prices. Compare the workmanship. It makes all the difference.

I dropped off my car at 9a and came back at 4p (closing time, even though the business hours on this page says 7p) and still had to wait till 4:45p to drive off with my car. If you are on a time budget, schedule the weekend or something. I was late to get back to work. The work itself was good and the Xpel XR nano-ceramic tint is truly an excellent product. VERY good heat reduction I've notice inside my car on these hot hot summer days. Definitely would recommend their service, but be mindful of your time in case it isn't a 'quick' pickup.

However, they were the most comprehensive in their initial quote and quoted me top-tier glass. If you have a front-mounted camera for adaptive cruise control, lane assist, etc., you HAVE to have the system recalibrated after a new windshield is installed. Several quotes suggested it's an option. It's not. Signature was on top of it when I asked about the calibration and how it was performed. They always responded to my several questions as I was deciding between two different auto glass shops. Signature won out for being quick to respond and offering more for less. I finalized the appointment on a Friday, and they were able to get me in on Monday morning. Monday came, and I was there at 8:30 (FYI: It's a little tricky to find as it's a small driveway, so slow down when you get close.) The guiding me into the garage where my window was already set up, ready to go. They led me to their waiting room with a TV, coffee, etc. They came in, showed me that my camera was slightly misaligned after removing my window, and said it would hopefully be corrected when they were done. About 90 minutes later, they came and got me, said they were done, and went through the report that said my camera had been perfectly recalibrated. Taking the care home, the window looked great! In more tests, it rained the next night, so I went for a drive, and there were zero leaks around the window. I couldn't have asked for a better product or service. One final hint - pay cash if you can. They appreciate it.

I'll sum all this up very simply. The installation of the new windshield itself on my Buick in…read moregeneral was barely acceptable. Upon returning to my car after said work was done and the job was paid in full, i saw that my doors were locked and my key/opener were laying in the cup holder. Luckily, I carry a spare key on me in case these shops screw up. I observed that the lane departure camera behind the rear view mirror was crudely attached with blue painters tape to the windshield. I approached the guy (Johnny, i think his name was) and asked him about the camera tape up job. He stated "Oh I forgot to mention that", yeah right. He stated to me "oh, these mounting clips break all the time and we will order them from the dealer". Well, come to find out, the only mounting tabs were molded into the lane departure camera housing and the dealer only sells the whole camera assembly which is over $600! This also doesn't include recalibration of said device either. However, breaking the lane departure camera mounting tabs by inexperienced chuckle heads and then being lied to from the get go brought down this rating by 4 stars. Not good. The bottom line is that don't blow smoke up the customer's ass leading him on to BS. It NEVER ends well. Honesty is the best policy. DON'T LIE TO THE CUSTOMER. This is Business 101, people! If I was approached early on before I left that the tabs on the lane departure camera were broken upon disassembly and worked with me regarding repair/replacement, this would've been a 4-5 star review. I cant for the sake of things recommend this establishment. Avoid this place if you don't want to risk damage to your vehicle.

I contacted several auto glass companies and found that most quotes were significantly higher than what Doctor Auto Glass offered. From the beginning, they answered all of my questions clearly. They explained the difference between OEM and aftermarket glass, confirmed the use of FYG (Fuyao) glass, included ADAS calibration, offered a calibration report, and provided a lifetime workmanship warranty. They installed a new FYG Acoustic windshield, performed the ADAS calibration in-house, and provided a calibration report showing the calibration was completed successfully. All Toyota Safety Sense features are working properly and there are no warning lights or system errors. My total cost was about $480 paid by card. The entire process was smooth, professional, and transparent from start to finish. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work, communication, and overall value. I highly recommend Doctor Auto Glass to anyone needing windshield repair or replacement.

I did not know which auto glass shop to go to, so I called the most popular one on cable tv and two others in my neighborhood. The popular place was responsive, however had some negative reviews, one being some mechanics didn't show up to scheduled appointments! When I spoke with Guilmar the owner of Alfa Auto Glass he nearly had me convinced before I called #3. He explained 3 very important things: 1. The adhesive he uses is highly and fast binding. Some other places use cheap adhesive that even takes longer to dry. 2. He purchases high quality glass for a good price. Some other places just take whatever cheap import that is available. Guilmar knows the glass brands and sticks with the quality of glass he prefers to install. 3. Some mobile auto glass repairs have no physical business! They are just a mobile phone # and might do cheap work. They can easily cancel and change the phone # making it very difficult to find them to get a replacement or refund! I called the other two shops with questions about the adhesive and the glass they chose and they did not respond with satisfactory answers, and they had no idea about the glass brands. I am 100% satisfied with the work Guilmar's installer did. A quality business that has been in Tustin since 1988! Thank you Guilmar!

A 4-hour window is already excessive, and they still didn't show up within it. By 11:45am, I checked their website for updates like the confirmation email instructed. There were none. No chat option, no status updates -- just options to cancel or reschedule. I called customer service to find out what was going on and was told the technician would reach out. About 10 minutes later, I got a call saying the technician was about 15 minutes away. That turned a 4-hour window into well over 5 hours. I had to take time off work for this, and they couldn't even meet their own scheduled window. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. The lack of communication was unprofessional. I have to use Safelite for my company vehicle, but for my personal cars, I wouldn't use them again. I'd rather hire someone off craigslist who shows up on time and communicates clearly. The 2 stars are for the appointment being easy to book, and the technician being friendly once they arrived.
