On the fence about this place. Observed several GMP violations with food handling and then an employee consuming food over the area where they prepare food. Not good. Then the cell phone. Why do they all need to hold their phones while working. Probably the dirtiest device in the food prep area. Wearing gloves but holding her phone then prepares food right after that. The food was ok. Chicken was really good but the cold Mac n cheese brought the overall experience down. Place looks somewhat clean. Service was slow but not horrible. I was the only person in the store. Buffy Bleu Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich, both w waffle fries, 8oz Creamy Garlic, green tea drink, and large Reese's shake is what I got. Staff was friendly and so quick with my order. The location of this place is in a nice area but somewhat out of the way. The entrance that is not the street light one may seem a bit off but this is not really anything PDQ can do anything about. I wish the salads could be gotten as a combo or a side portion instead or in addition to the fries but most customers would not want that. The quality of the chicken and the seasonings they use is respectable. I am not crazy about the name of this place- I like what it stands for but I feel like all I think about are the letters or not wanting to find out what it stands for. I think it's too late to change the name from initials to something with an actual name. The initials kind of remind me of how some traditional Asian restaurants might be named or translated into. PDQ on long island was one of my favorite chicken places. Unfortunately they rebranded and changed their menu. I had to travel through Jersey just to get some fricken PDQ again. It's still a lovely experience. The staff here was so nice, the menu is wonderful, and I adore their iconic branding. They had such cute Halloween decorations and at this location they even had some creative activities for children. PDQ is still one of the best chicken places. It's a shame the Long Island owners decided to ditch the franchise. read more

I went here for the first time last week to try their shakes since they had a promotion for 1/2 prices shakes during 3-5pm. I went inside the restaurant to order and there was no line or other customers inside. They had 5 employees there during the day which seemed to be plenty since there were no other customers. I ordered the Reese's shake with whipped cream and it was ready within a minute or so. The shake was very thick and had lots of chopped Reese's. The whipped cream tasted fake to me and I wouldn't have whipped cream on the shake the next time I go. The restaurant inside had a good amount of tables with some family oriented decor. This was our first time to a PDQ and we were impressed. The food was fantastic. The staff was amazing. Here's the best of the food: Chicken tenders: regular deep fried was the best. Nashville hot sauce was great too. They have plenty of great sauces. I'm not big into chicken sandwiches but these were very good. The bread was a bit sweet, and the pickles added a nice tang. Nashville hot, classic and deluxe were the best. Mac & Cheese was luxurious. Possible made with Velveta. We'll get this every time. Will blow kids away. Don't blink or you'll miss it. New Jersey has a single PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) chicken restaurant remaining and even that looks tentative. Forget Popeyes, their chicken sandwich is a revelation but sadly the "chicken wars" are a battle of attrition and this fledgling upstart is getting squeezed by everyone from DoorDash to the local Roach Coach. The chicken is thick, moist and perfectly seasoned but alas, that might not be enough to keep the chain on life support. Before they resort to last rites get down here for some terrific poultry. I'm sitting in the restaurant writing this so that's always a good sign... I love PDQ! First experienced them while working in Tampa and I'm so glad they came to Jersey. Everything is high quality as the name implies- love the tenders, fries, and homemade, fresh sauces. I use the Honey BBQ on my tenders and the Garlic on my fries. They have a Coke freestyle machine which I always love. Workers are always extremely happy and friendly, and the restaurant is sparkling clean. There drive thru speaker is broken, so you place your order at the window. Our order took 20 minutes, which is unheard of for a fast food chain. Our grilled chicken sandwiches were dry and the zuchini fries were over fried. The poor young lady had no idea which car to take any of the 12 orders for folks that had been waiting. There was zero organization,as we were told to just park in any space and someone would find us. This was a one and done for us. I now understand why 2 other locations closed. Today I visited PDQ Marlton. I have never been to any PDQ before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This location is much closer to me than my go-to fast food chicken place, so I wanted to give it a try. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal with waffle fries, a Coke, and PDQ sauce. Overall, my opinion is so-so. Was it the worst chicken I've ever had? Definitely not. But there were just a few things that put it below it's competitors. Pros: - The chicken was perfectly spicy. - The fries were a good portion and crispy. - The PDQ sauce was tasty. - My curbside order was brought out in a timely manner. Cons: - The chicken was so small that it was only 2/3 the size of the bun (and the bun wasn't even big). I expected the chicken to be bigger. It was not filling. - The chicken really, really needed more salt. Overall, I feel like it's main competitor is a better value since their chicken is bigger and seasoned better. I might consider trying a different item from PDQ in the future, but I'm not sure. read more

The food was simply awful. The sauce was disgusting and the chicken made me want to throw up. The only thing that was decently good was the fries but I think I have high cholesterol now. Placed order at drive-through window. The lady was sitting down and had to stand up to take our order. We had to wait for the food because they had run out of tenders so we were sitting there for quite a while in the front of the restaurant. When we got home, we realized we didn't have any waffle fries, so I called and apparently the person that took the order (did not give me a receipt) Didn't order any waffle fries even though we asked for large waffle fries. I've had food from this location a few times before. It's always been very good. Usually great service. Sadly, after last night we won't be back. Our order was wrong. The chicken was burned and dried out. When I got the second window I watched the young lady with pink hair and glasses dip a pitcher into a container of lemonade without gloves. She filled the container and attempted to hand it to me without drying it off. When I asked if it was water or lemonade in the container she said probably lemonade. I asked her to give me napkins and put the container on the windowsill. When she returned instead of drying it off she handed me napkins. Soo.... Order was wrong, food is expensive and was burned, staff was rude and incompetent will never be back again! Worst $50 I ever spent for chicken tenders and fries ! i really hate to say it but wasn't thrilled about this location, used to have one nearby but it suddenly closed. but one day i had seen they had a new item being the garlic parm toast, and found the closest location and went. One my favorites things about this place used to be the cheerwine or milk shakes but when i arrived they said they didn't have any cheerwine so i decided to get a milkshake and went on to order my meal with a side of toast only to be told they didn't have any with it clearly in view right behind the counter which was a real bummer, so i sat down and went to try my milkshake only for my face to turn purple trying to do so... IT WAS 100% JUST ICECREAM not spun even remotely so i had to eat it with a spoon :(. overall just very disappoint experience great company and food just poorly managed location which seemed to be the death of the other two locations. hope they can get things togather before Jersey loses its last PDQ will try to stop by again in a few weeks or months not to thrilled to at the moment though read more
