The PDQ is at the south edge of the Plantation Promenade plaza. Plenty of close parking with decent red umbrella covered patio seating. A while ago I visited here for the first time at a Yelp event and loved the food. Today I ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich with the Waffle Fries. Waited only a few minutes for my food and enjoyed the bubbly personalities of the staff. The open view kitchen was organized and spotless which is a common trait of great management. The gender assigned bathroom was very clean with little green palm trees on the wallpaper was a nice touch providing a beachy vibe. The chicken was big, plump and tasty but the waffle fries dipped in the sriracha sauce was incredible and even dripped some onto the sandwich. Move over Chick-fil-A. I've found my new favorite. I stopped by this location recently and I'm obsessed. The Nashville Hot chicken was everything. So good, perfectly crunchy, fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. Honestly, Chick-fil-A could never. Their chicken has gone soft compared to this. What really stood out were the workers. They were so kind, sweet, and actually seemed to care. You can tell they enjoy what they do. They weren't just going through the motions. It made the whole experience feel human and welcoming. The restaurant itself felt super safe and clean. Lots of parking, great lighting especially at night, and just an overall good vibe. I'm officially done with Chick-fil-A. The PDQ in Plantation consistently has great service and tasty food. Today was no exception. The Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken comes complete with grape tomatoes, cucumber, pepperoncini, olives, feta cheese and hummus. I'm not a fan of many of the toppings but my husband is so we usually split the salad with me requesting most of the toppings on the side. They do so every time without any problem. The cranapple oatmeal cookie was an explosion of flavor comparable to stores that specialize in only making cookies. I've been to this PDQ numerous times. It's a great place for great food. The Greek salad is large enough that you can share with someone else and if you add some extra chicken tenders with it and makes for a great meal for two people. Service is always friendly and extremely fast. The ambiance in the restaurant is a lot of fun has several TV on with sporting events and Chive TV. The restaurant is super clean and very organized. I am delighted that a PDQ opened just a few blocks from my house! They are the perfect cross between a fast food restaurant and a traditional restaurant. They make it super easy to order because they have a kiosk for self serve, or you can order with a person at the counter, or you can drive through. Either way they are pretty fast, friendly, and efficient. On my recent visit, I was dining with my mother and my daughter. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich meal. The price was reasonable, and the sandwich was delicious, as were the waffle fries. My daughter had the spicy PDQ salad. She said it was really tasty and it had more chicken than she had expected. She couldn't even finish the whole thing. My mother only had a chocolate milkshake, and of course it was delicious, but it was also really pretty, and they added whipped cream and a cherry. I did take out for lunch today and had a very pleasant experience. The service was very good from the staff behind the counter. I ordered from an employee but could have done the computerized kiosk if there had been a line. My food came up so quickly that when I finished filling my cup from the freestyle Coke machine, my food was already bagged and ready to go. This location is new, and I am glad they are open in this plaza even though the parking lot navigation is terrible. When I got home to eat lunch, my chicken tenders were still hot and crispy. I ordered the "5 tenders" crispy and spicy. I do wish they could do spicy for the grilled tenders to give a healthier grilled spicy option. I did enjoy the tenders as they were juicy and well cooked. Having owned a restaurant and worked at fast food restaurants as a young man the only people I saw with this much hustle were owners and managers! These two were running to get things done. I think the fries could use more seasoning. They are just ok. I like their large variety of beverages. Plus they serve Cheerwine. That is hard to find in restaurants. This is premium tasting chicken for sure. Their chicken sandwiches are really good and pretty filling despite their small size. The sweet sriracha is their best tasting sauce in my opinion. Their PDQ sauce tastes very similar to Huey Magoo's signature sauce but HM does it better so that was a bit disappointing. They are also on the pricier end and give you a little bit of fries so there's that. Their lemonades and shakes are pretty good as well. I hate to be this person but I just went to the new PDQ on Cleary BLVD and the entire meal was just not good at all. I'm an avid PDQ lover, the one in Pembroke Pines is great, and I was super excited for this one to open up. I do unfortunately have a few complaints. My chicken sandwich was extremely overcooked & tough, the bun on the 2 sandwiches I ordered were stale and hard. The fries were either overcooked, or extremely stale from sitting out all day. I emailed the CEO of this location and he has yet to give me a response about my experience. Not to mention I spent almost $50 for it to be practically inedible. I'll be back eventually, but hopefully by then the food has improved. read more

I ordered a half sweet half unsweet iced tea- they gave me half sweet half lemonade that was unbearably sweet & just not what I ordered. $6 for a milkshake the size of my palm, that had very little flavor and substance. I have been to PDQ once in my life at the Fort Lauderdale location and it was soo amazing. When we discovered that there was one opening up right down the street from my location I was very happy! We visited this location on Saturday. The place was full and busy. The dining area was very clean and neat and all the items needed were fully stocked and available. There were a few associates at the drink area and asked if we needed anything to let them know. Great service. The employee that brought the food was willing to walk to our table and deliver the food (It was a beautiful day so we sat outside, which was kept up very well) The dining area is a bit smaller than I expected and was full pretty fast. The location could have been a bit larger. I ordered the chicken sandwich deluxe and my wife the 8 piece nuggets. We also upgraded to zucchini fries (pretty hefty upgrade charge) but worth it after we received the fries (large portion). My wife stated that the nuggets were hot and flavorful. My sandwich was good. The bread was soft and the chicken juicy. Only complaint was I barely had any lettuce (1 piece) and the tomatoes was a bit soggy. Other than that great experience. Kudos t o the staff and especially the cashier that took our order. She was very pleasant and smiled the whole time. She recommended items we had not tried with our ordered. The service was fast, the salads were fresh, the zucchini fries, and broccoli with Parmesan cheese were delicious as usual and most importantly, the chicken was delicious. They JUST opened Sunday night at the Plantation location, so I HAD to try!!! Service was AMAZING, all staff attentive and we were greeted with all smiles! They gave my kids little foam PDQ chickens!!! Typically when places first open up, they lack in the training and staff. It was not the case here, and the staff was in full force doing an AMAZING job!!! PDQ trains their staff well, and it was obvious here. So I've had PDQ once before a long time ago, and remember it being okay, so I was excited to try it again, especially since it's only been open for a few days and right in the neighborhood. I placed a pick up order and since I live so close, I was there before the time stated. So it was a huge surprise when the food I tried to eat was the opposite of fresh. I don't want to waste any more time on this, but the best way I can describe it is if you left a chicken sandwich and fries under a heat lamp from noon to 6:45 pm and then tried to eat it. Honestly, it could be due to lack of business or something, but I wouldn't doubt if that was the exact scenario that played out. I shouldn't hear the bun when I tap it.
