This is a chain restaurant and this location is great because the employees are really friendly and they staff well so that you are taken care of fast. The store is also exceptionally clean all the time. My favorite part of the restaurant is the hand-cleaning station in the dining room that you step on. They have some different items that you can't get anywhere else. The Fried Turkey sandwiches rule, the tenders are very good and have unique taste, and the fries are some kind of salty thin good. The wife likes the toffee & apples side. The sweet tea is unique and they even have this unique hand soap in the bathroom that makes me feel excited about washing my hands. There are always a ton of awesome promotions so join the club and watch your email. Stuff like wear green day, or win free chicken for a year contests, or buy one get one free meals. The only downside is that the food can be a little pricey. Like I said, try to catch a promo or hit up the 5 tender meal to maximize your price savings. They are not cheap, but I had a good enough experience to want to go back. I love the look of the Wellington location. They actually made me feel as if I was in a more upscale fast food place. This PDQ is by far the worst when it comes to customer service! I understand we are rebounding from the pandemic and finding help/workers is very daunting. However, that does not negate how you treat your customers! At first, I was in the drive-thru (which formed a line wrapped around the building), so I decided to order inside for faster service. But boy was I wrong! Upon entering the restaurant there were 4 customers in line ahead of me. For the first 5 minutes the cashier and other employees didn't even knowledge the line forming at the counter nor did they greet or apologize for the wait. Another 5 minutes passed and the older couple who was first in line decided they'd waited long enough, threw up their hands and left. I thought surly after the employees witnessed customers leaving, they would at least address the other waiting customers. NOPE! They continued to concentrate on the customers who'd already placed their orders for dine-in and the drive-thru orders. Ok, fair enough! I consider myself to be an understanding adult. But after several more minutes passed by, 2 more customers shook their heads in frustration and left. Now, I was becoming increasingly frustrated as well. Then BOOM! The cashier approaches the register (I'm thinking for sure she's going to take my order), but instead she calls the other dine-in customer to the counter to receive their food and then proceeds to walk away as if me, my daughter and the other customers standing in line were invisible! That's when I had had ENOUGH! I politely asked her if she'd be taking our orders and she nonchalantly, without even raising her head to look me in the eyes replied, "No our dine-in is closed and we're only concentrating on Drive-thru orders". WHAT! EXCUSE ME! YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS! She purposely watched a line of customers wait at the counter for more than 15 minutes without saying a word to us! And the only reason we got a response or reaction from this poorly operated establishment, is because I eventually stopped to ask the cashier if she was planning on taking orders, and that's when she let us know that they weren't taking anymore dine-in orders! Then I challenged her to explain to me why they were handing out orders to people who were at the table "dining-in", and why she didn't make that announcement about 15 minutes ago to the waiting customers? She again without raising her head simply said they had just placed their orders before we decided to stop the dine-in orders! Well, I wasn't there for dine-in, I was there to place a to go order! But their lack of communication and customer service showed that they could care less about their customers! I suggest in the future to lock your doors or simple announce it as you see customers forming a line at the counter! And, train your staff on policy, procedure and definitely customer relations! read more

From the minute I walked in, (two separate times), Jeremy consistently appeared to be doing closing side work and maintaining the last of the inside customers and counter orders. I imagine he must of been working at least a 5-8 hr shift and reasonably could look tired and worn down from a busy day at a world renowned, high volume, extremely engaging restaurant; but all I could see was this man smiling energetically the entire time while attending to his customers and employees needs. With customer service at it's brutal decline in the past years this man single handedly changed my perspective on the all out loss of hope for the hospitality/food industries "exceptional service". He went above and beyond to make my very short lived experience, at the brink of closing time for this Wellington, FL PDQ location, completely mind altering and memorable! I'm certain with such little time to get to know Jeremy, he will undoubtedly thrive and advance in every position he acquires in his lifetime. I know this may seem excessive, but I was that blown away with the highly unexpected, valuable, work ethic he showed today. PDQ is lucky to have him. I haven't been to PDQ very many times since it's opening, but I will be immensely changing into a frequented regular due to the service I was provided today! Why does the breading on the nuggets or even sandwiches come off so easily? It's a really big turn off. Or when I get the chicken sandwich and it's a very thick piece of chicken that just doesn't even look appetizing. The chicken tenders are good here. I tried the grilled turkey breast sandwich and it was good as well. It's clean and the staff is friendly. And yes, they have a freestyle coke machine. My family and I decided to stop into PDQ on our way to Central Florida. Yeah, sure, it's a little out of the way from the turnpike, but hello, it's PDQ and we love PDQ! The blonde teenie-bop girl who gave us our food was very rude & short. Once she gave us our food, she closed the door immediately & walked away! We needed more items & sauces but that wasn't going to happen. So we just left & realized about 5 min down the street she gave us ALL the WRONG food. And we didn't have time to go back & make them make it right. Then when my husband opened the sandwich up, it insanely small for the price! On top of paying $6-7 for a kids meal, it had about 3" pieces of chicken that were skinnier than a finger. We come here quite often...I would even venture to say we are borderline regulars. It's normally a toss up between PDQ and Habit Burger for us. We love this place and the food. I normally get the tenders with fries(I will say that the fries are not that great alone. They have barely any salt-but with the Chipotle BBQ-mmm..so good) and my man gets a choice of one of their bowl selections. I think he has liked every one so far. This time we tried the new "Totchos". A spin on Tater Tots dressed up as nachos. Uhh..how can you go wrong with nachos and tots?? You can't. They were really good. Staff are usually very friendly. The only complaint I have is sometimes this place is over-run with kids and can be VERY noisy. To be honest, that some times deters us from coming knowing that there are probably 50 kids all screaming in different areas of the place. In a passing conversation regarding where to take your kids out to eat, a coworker mentioned "PDQ". I am a devout anti-fast food guy, and have mentioned in other reviews that other than Chic-fil-A, our 5 years old has never seen the inside of a fast-food joint. I've been to the store exactly 3 times. First time i was thrilled with the quality and quantity. Second visit, quality still good, however, i noted a difference in the fries quantity. Third (and last) visit was today. I ordered a 3piece meal, 4piece meal, a grilled chicken with fries, and a grilled chicken salad and 4 cookies 2 drinks...a total of $37. So I get in the car and drive away, I glance in the bag containing the fries and I immediately did a U-turn. The quantity in both containers were at half to 3/4 full. Call me crazy, but I LOVE FRIES...so this disappointed. I drove back to the store and just brought the bag of fries to the register where i ordered. I kindly asked the young man to look in the bag and tell me if "this is the normal quantities of fries" you provide in an order. He said yes and asked if I wanted another one. The sandwich was good, they have ample amounts of tomato, lettuce and pickles on there but if you want a sandwich you have only 4 choices grilled or fried chicken or grilled or fried turkey sandwich. PDQ is part of a new breed of of good for you fast casuals out there. I don't want to say fast food because that dumbs down the freshness of the product. This location is next to the Wellington Green Mall and every part - from the interior design to the exterior landscaping, is clean and well manicured. The design is very modern with plenty of natural light and very minimalist fixtures that are more function than form. The logo which pays homage to 50's diners with of course some retro flare, is grandiose but fits the overall design nicely. The stores can be accessed through the standard counter service as well as a two stage drive thru. One note is that the drive thru hands out menus when you get to the window. A nice touch that speaks to extra touches this brand makes. The menu consists of traditional chicken fare, just executed so much better. From the crisp not greasy breaded chicken to the delicious grilled chicken, one thing is certain, they know chicken. On top of that, the fries and other sides are excellent. Of note are the interesting cookie and milkshake flavors. PDQ also has there own set of custom dressing/ dipping sauces for the chicken. The best of them all, for me at least, is the buffalo blue cheese. Yep, you heard that right, bluecheese dressing mixed with buffalo sauce -it's out of this world. read more

We love going to PDQ in Wellington but yesterday's experience changed my mind. The man in front of me on line was not wearing a mask while he was waiting to place his order. I'm not understanding why the manager on duty or the staff member taking orders did not tell him to step out of the restaurant if he won't wear a mask and instead go through the drive-through window. Maybe I'm missing something but this place was just average and nothing special to me. I suppose it's a fancier fast food joint that you wouldn't mind sitting and eating at but I didn't think the food was above any other place. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich combo and it was good/normal/average. The fries were not my favorite and prefer fries from many other places. They were skinny, bland, soggy fries. This place has a fancy soda/drink machine with infinite options to choose from. I went with their green tea that wasn't from the machine and thought that was something different to see offered from a typical place like this. I later made my own Arnold Palmer, mmm! I guess it was my bad and I didn't understand the menu since it was my first time, but I ordered the chicken sandwich combo instead of the chicken tenders combo bcuz I thought it was a lot cheaper. Turns out the price I saw was for the sandwich without fries and drink and I ended up paying more than the tenders. I guess I wasn't thinking, but I don't recall seeing the price for the combo on the menu and I will still say it was misleading.
