When called to coordinate my repairs, he had me bring the car to him to see if it was something he could work on. (I was told he came to you.)He also added while setting up the appointment that he might be able to fix it right on the spot. When reviewing the car, he offered many small repairs but said that it would take 4 -5 hours and that we would need to schedule a date for the following week. We agreed upon a speicfic time beacuse I would be staying in the area for the duration of the repairs (with no transport.); he also asked me to call the scheduled morning to confirm appointment. When I called he told me that I had the appointment time wrong and proceeded to argue with me. (I don't think at this point he even knew who I was.) I told him that he watched me write it down that very moment we set it up and I also put it in my blackberry. (Additionally I had to reschedule some appointments for that day to make to repair time available.) As the conversation went on, he told me that he did not tell me to call and confirm and then he asked me what car I had and what the actual repairs were going to be! Clearly he did not write much down. If you can spare the time to meet Trevor's needs and you can be very flexible, maybe you could take a chance on him. But for me, he wasted over 6 hours of my time and was rude and unprofessional. I like to work with someone who is reliable. read more

I googled Solana Beach auto repair and found the website for PDR. I had a very small dent in my truck that needed fixing. Trevor was prompt in responding and followed up after I'd made an appt to confirm our time. I brought my car to him, conveniently located near Fletcher Cove, right on time, and he was ready. He looked at the dent for 10 seconds and told me it wouldn't be worth it to me to have him get it out, because it wouldn't look right and would cost me about $600. It was the most honesty I'd ever heard from an auto guy. So he gave it a quick fix for free with his tools, and also helped me get my old license plate off which had a broken screw that prevented me from removing it. A body shop would have charged me $50 for the 2 minute it took him--he didn't charge a dime. Next time I have a real problem or a serious dent, I'll definitely call Trevor. Trevor is a really funny guy and his working location can't be beat as its a block from the ocean! You need an eye for this sort of thing and he tells me he is also a pilot. After completing his repair of a small ding I had on my front fender, I could not see anything anymore. He said, its not perfect yet, hang on. I've got this! Then his lovely assistant walked out and served me a glass of lemonade! He walked around my car and noticed another one on one of my doors. He quoted me a price I just couldn't pass up + I was already there enjoying a great glass of ice cold lemonade! All in all a great visit and my ride is dent free again! All I can say is that he works miracles. At first I was skeptical, since he works out of his garage and everything seemed different than going to a professional auto body shop, but here's the kicker. Honestly I sent pictures of my challenging dent near wheelwell to 2 other dent repair guys and after asking me some pointed questions they said my car needed a full auto body shop in order to fix it. While getting a quote from a major auto body shop (for over $1,500.00) and after expressing my desire of not wanting to file an insurance claim, the estimator was nice enough to hand me Trever's PDR business card.
