Two young men came to my home. They were fast, knowledgeable, friendly and didn't mind answering all of my questions. They diagnosed my problem and fixed it and did not try to upsell me anything other than what I needed. They wore masks at all times and made sure to close the screen door every single time they came in and out of my house. I had a house full of work men, things were hectic and the young men ended up leaving a tool at my home. It was an easy mistake because I kept distracting them with so many questions they happily answered sooo I hope they do not get reprimanded for that. I live in the bay area and called asking for a bid to evaluate why my friend's a/c was shutting off abruptly after being on for a short time. They came out and charged over $200 then gave my friend an estimate for approx. $1,900.00 to recharge the system and check for leaks then they could determine the problem. Worst plumbing company I had to deal with! One star only because yelp wont let me post without giving at least one star. Be wary of this company. After my unfortunate experience with them, I think they really have no integrity or customer service. Their technician came over and broke a valve in the process of "fixing" our water heater leak and then charged to fix what they broke. Unfortunately, we had to pay to get water restored in our home. Then when we followed up with manager Dan, he shrugged off any responsibility and attempted to blame us for having an older home. Basically, unless you have a brand new home don't call them or else you too may end up paying for parts they broke as well. In response to Dan since Yelp won't let me comment on his comment. Where is the baseless accusation? I have shared my experience so others can make an informed decision when choosing a plumber. My experience is that I had your technician come over and he broke the valve to control the water in our house. Then I was forced to pay extra (almost double of what the initial job would have cost) for the broken valve or be without water. When I followed up with Dan regarding this situation, he shrugged away from any responsibility (as noted from his reply below) stating the valve broke because it was "old" however this was not mentioned during the initial inspection performed by one of the technicians prior to accepting the job or even by the technician before he twisted and broke the valve--only afterwards as what seems like an excuse to avoid any responsibility! I don't think you should accept jobs if you and your staff aren't capable of working with all types of fixtures without breaking them and footing the customer with extra charges. read more

I needed a new kitchen sink , disposal and faucet installed in my recently purchased home and called PDS and one other plumbing company . The other company quoted an excessively high rate and stated it would be an eight hour job. I then called PBS they answered right away and sent someone over the same day with a more reasonable and competitive rate and was informed that the job would take 2-3 hours . A few days later Antonio came on time to do the job . Because the old sink was installed by the previous DIY owner there were issues . Antonio had issues removing the sink as it was pretty stuck so he call for assistance , Jose #1 and Jose # 2 to the rescue . Once the sink was out it was a pretty smooth process , Antonio took care of the other plumbing problems and installed the new items , and checked everything over to make sure everything was working correctly . Most importantly they were all very professional and quite personable . Also Antonio answered any and every question . My water heater stopped working Sunday evening 6/2/24. I placed a call to PDS and they were able to come out for an estimate the next morning. Antonio came out and determined the WH needed replacing. He was very thorough in explaining what the issue was with the heater in addition to it being over 20 years old! He presented all of my options and was in constant communications with the office to get me the documents I needed for review. I was given a quote that was hundreds of dollars less than one from a bigger plumbing chain. After reviewing everything and giving approval, I had a brand new tankless water heater in 4 hours. Tommie came in to look over the work and was very helpful in finishing up. Antonio also discovered a gas leak and I was able to have PG&E come out and fix the issue right away. We had them come out and unclog a sewer line . Couldn't find a clean out line and so he snake it didn't work so he recommended hydrojet thru the roof. That didn't work. So he recommended putting a clean out and should work . Needless to say. It didn't work and now I have a hole in my wall the plumber quit after about a hour saying the line won't go in the pipes cause it won't bend 90 degrees He said he spend too much time at our house and it's not going to work. Frustrating. Now we have to patch the hole that he made and still clog line read more

I noticed a bolt holding the toilet to the floor had broken. PDS sent an estimate and a list of available times. A few minutes before the appointment I received a phone call from Jose the plumber they assigned to this call informing me he was on his way. He arrived exactly at the scheduled time. There was a bit of confusion concerning a dispatch fee which Jose resolved to our satisfaction. He worked quickly and quietly and soon had our toilet repaired and looking better than when he had started. I do not recommend this company for residential work. Owner responded to my original review proving he does not communicate with his so-called technicians. It is the cold water that is an issue, not the hot. The existing spigot and cartridges were mine. In fact, my spigot was reused as it was in excellent condition and originally installed correctly. It was when the worker reinstalled it that the problem occurred. (In fact, I sent the owner a picture of how his worker had reinstalled it and he agreed it was not installed properly.) The same person was sent out to correct the issue. Furthermore, the owner wasn't able to assure me that replacing the valve would correct the problem. Therefore, I did not go forward with the repair as it would have been $1000. or more. This, with no guarantee that the high pitched noise coming about when the water is running in my tub/shower stall would be alleviated. Looking at the invoice, it was handed to me as shown. I don't know who signed the agreement sections, but it wasn't me. My next step is turning in this plumbing contractor to the State Contractor's Licensing Board. In fact, I'm going to do that now. Still waiting for the $70. refund that was promised to me. P.S. Unless you are prepared to fully clean the area this company services in your home, don't call on them. Update on this. 28 days later my AC stopped working. W called them back out because they had been the ones to do a tune up service and should of told us of any issues they may have noticed. They came out and charged my husband close to $200 for something the couldn't even fix. They were trying to sell my husband a New AC of course thousands of dollars. We called our warranty company they came out and replaced parts and fixed it costing us $80 Alot of AC company's will try to sell you a new AC to make more money.
