We went for Stripparaoke and got there around 10:30pm. Parking wasn't great but I got lucky and got a spot on the street just in time. It was $5 cash to get in the door. The bouncer was super friendly and I felt comfortable immediately. We went to the bar and ordered food and drinks - I got a water and chicken strips, which may be insane at a strip club but I was starving and looking forward to some food. We got a table up front and watched the dancers and karaoke singers. It was a good time! The dancers are all very talented and incredibly strong. Dancing is definitely an art and a sport and these girls are all so so talented. They played well to the music and the crowd and interacted well with the people at the stage. The KJ was great at his job and encouraged lots of tips for the girls, which they absolutely deserved. The food took a bit to come out but was worth it. You don't think about food when you think of a strip club, but the chicken strips were great. They seemed housemade which surprised me! They were so good and hit the spot. They were also only $8 and came with fries, which is SO cheap. It was shocking and I loved it! The crowd was very well-behaved and respectful. They tipped well and I never felt unsafe around anyone. I was worried about gross men but everyone seemed fine. They had security wandering around making sure nobody was acting up which I think helped. There are basic rules, which seem obvious but may help anyone else who hasn't been to a strip club before: no touching the dancers unless they explicitly ask, no using your phone when dancers are out, if you sing you are expected to tip your dancer at least a dollar, and if you're at the stage you are expected to tip at least a dollar per dancer per song. Again, all obvious, but there's always someone who won't know. All in all this is a great club and was a great first time for me. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time and would certainly go back in the future. It is also incredibly affordable and is a great way to hang out with friends!

Otherwise many would get min. wage and be molested by their supervisor (and not be able to report it because they needed the min. wage). The ones I talked with were very nice or very very nice. I never had food I didn't finish, but favored hash browns or french toast. Good fries also. Best barmaids. I developed "favorites" based on how I was treated and was soon "overtipping", because the experience was worth a lot more than a crappy tip. Most complaints you see are from people who probably complain about everything because they want the world to be free (for them). Old place and not recently refurbished- one of the dancers got a splinter in her gluteal region from the shredded particle board bar! The Men's room is a place you would rather pee into than enter. Lap dances available for $40-100; I don't understand that but apparently it is for guys who are "premature" and worth it for them. Easy to fall in love with a professional who is good at what she does. Makes more sense than sending my money to a Nigerian Princess who needs my help getting the millions that are just out of her reach.

Acropolis is a Portland institution and it's such a Portland type place too especially back when Portland was known for being affordable and had an amazing value while also having the most strip clubs per capita in all of America. Growing up in Portland, after going to a club or a show or a Blazer game your choices of finding something late night to eat was limited to Taco Bell, Hot Cake House, Montage...and if you were with all your guy friends, the Acrop. I'm sure you all know by now, but the owners of the Acrop also own a cattle ranch, and are able to cut the middlemen out and offer you a fantastic steak or steak bites fresh from their ranch at rock bottom prices. Is this place going to beat out any steak at a proper steakhouse? No. Is it going to beat out a lot of the lower priced steaks at chains or pubs? You're damn right it will. Real ones know that you can call ahead or go around back and order from the pickup window. If you wanna eat on the go...steak bites are the way to do it...or if you wanna be a little more classy you can just get the standard steak special, and try to cut through that steak with plasticware lol. Portland has changed a lot in the last 20 or so years...but one thing that hasn't changed is how great a late night steak is at the Acrop for less than the price of a typical Taco Bell order, and I'll bet that it stays that way for decades to come.

Gals don't try to work you over, don't get me wrong, private dances are how any dancer pays her bills. This is their job. However they don't treat folks as a means to an end. They treat them like new friends or family. The staff is excellent, each with their own unique personalities. Even though if it gets busy you may have to wait a moment or two it's well worth it. They'll remember you next time and take care of you. Food is awesome. Fantastic steaks and burgers. Private dance prices are odd but if you buy more then just one they wind up being better priced then their competitors at other clubs. So don't let the odd first song price scare you off. Quality is worth it These gals for the most part put on a pretty good stage show. Each gal has her own look, all beautiful but not the Barbie type. Just natural (with bonus tattoos for most lol)
