We've had nothing but a great experience at Peace Love Pets! We first came here on a recommendation from VEG (the 24-hour emergency vet across the street) after being less than thrilled with our previous vet. We found out our pup had heartworms, and our old vet didn't want to do treatment because he was a "happy and healthy pup" and said "the worms will die off in a few years." After doing our own research, we realized that approach was not recommended anywhere. Wanting a second opinion, we came to Peace Love Pets and saw Dr. Ali Mason. From the moment we walked in, the office had such a warm, welcoming energy. The staff were amazing with our pup and gave him so much love (unlike our previous vet, who barely acknowledged him, which always felt odd to us). They're always happy to see him, and while heartworm isn't that common in the Northeast, Dr. Mason went the extra mile. She did her research and even consulted with vet colleagues in the South where heartworm is more common to develop the best treatment plan. We really appreciated Dr. Mason's proactivity and the clear, caring communication from the entire team. Thank you for validating our concerns and listening to us. Sometimes, as dog parents, it's hard to advocate for your pet when you're not the expert, but the staff here truly listened and helped guide us through treatment. Upon bringing my pet here multiple times over the past several months, I reached no conclusive answer with them about symptoms that needed to be diagnosed. They are very dismissive and do not listen regarding the problems your pet may be having. They insisted that my dog was simply overweight and had various allergies leading to my dog's overall lethargy (tiredness/sleeping, not walking, etc.), discomfort, and discontent. However, the turning point was when my dog finally could not even get up and stand/walk properly (severely limping and showing signs of distress and pain). Once I brought him over to another veterinary practice, I was told the X-Rays that were originally done by Peace Love Pets were done improperly and needed to be redone in order to make an accurate/affirmed diagnoses of the current symptoms. This led to my dog being diagnosed with a torn CCL (equivalent to a torn ACL in a human) and now needing a surgical procedure in order to get back to an overall better quality of life. Additionally, Peace Love Pets tries to make it seem like they are saving you money, especially with the Thrive Pet Healthcare membership they partner with and offer, but really just want you to keep coming into the office to spend more money. After doing quite a bit of research, Thrive Pet Healthcare partners with veterinary practices all across the United States and offers a monthly membership to clients/patients for "reduced fees" on veterinary bills. However, they give financial incentives to veterinary offices/practices that they partner with in order to obtain more clients/patients and try to upsell clients/patients on medicines, procedures, diagnostics, and whatever else they have the ability to offer within that veterinary office/practice. (Apparently, an NDA of sorts, or document equivalent, is expected to be signed by employees in order to prevent them from talking poorly about the Thrive Pet Healthcare or any of its affiliated offices, practices, etc. if they choose to find work else where). Basically, Thrive Pet Healthcare treats animals' wellbeing and healthcare services as a business rather than a moral/ethical obligation/practice. So, in turn, Peace Love Pets is doing the same as Thrive Pet Healthcare as they are directly partnered with them. I would also like to state that it took me contacting and filing a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to have my membership with Thrive Pet Healthcare cancelled/terminated since they do not have a known working phone number to contact them and nearly impossible to reach them via email. Save your money and 'Peace of Mind' by going to another veterinary practice, particularly one that is AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited. read more

Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care proving yet again no regard to patient care... call to refill necessary medication monthly.. no surprises.. every 30 days pet takes medication so common sense medication needs to be refilled.. why this can't be an automatic process.. unclear... 1 medication has been on back order for over a month.. I find out today when medication should be available for refill. Vet practice manager... "oh well- we don't have it" 1 phone call later.. pet has an appointment at a local clinic who has supplement in stock and will be refilled by EOD... PLPVC response.. we don't like that you get mad when we are incapable of caring for your pet. Dog is 17 years old with history of Kidney disease... no I'm not OK with her going without a supplement that supports her health and quality of life. read more

We brought our shepherd Kyra in for a second opinion when she continued to not eat. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and immediate greeting when I walked in. The doctor came in and immediately sat on the floor next to her and examined her. He knew right away that there was an issue and did a sonogram. Although it wasn't what I wanted to hear, Kyra and I were not rushed through this difficult process and they waited for my husband to come. We were brought into a nice room and there was a blanket for us to sit on. This was a painful decision and the whole time these strangers were so sympathetic. Again, this was the first time I was here. I just received a card in the mail that everyone hand wrote a little message. This place was great when they first opened. Then they became part of Thrive Pet Healthcare and it's gone downhill since. Recently one of my cats was having a urinary issue and they couldn't give me an appointment for 2.5 weeks! I was told to go across the street to Veterinary Emergency Group. Two days later I called to be seen by my Vet and was told again to go across the street to VEG. Something is definitely going on here! Today I gave them one last chance, called and told them I needed to see my Vet because I needed to refill the prescription that VEG gave me and finally got an appointment for 2 days away. I used to recommend this place but after this prescription is filled I'm leaving. I want a Vet practice that treats you like they care not one that treats you like this is just another business transaction. Our first time going to a Vet and I am happy I turned to peoples reviews for this. So sad part is, our guy had to go in alone. You park, call, they ask a few questions and before you know it one of the Vet Techs is bringing your pet in. Honestly took less than 20 minutes. The doctor who even examined our guy came outside to introduce himself and explain what to do going forward. We are happy we live not even a 5 minute drive. If it wasn't bad enough that the prescription medication they put my dog on nearly caused him to die, this week I discovered what may be tumors on my dog's testicles. I called them, they were closed on Labor Day okay fine, left a message. They didn't call me back the next morning and their phones weren't receiving calls until mid day the next day, finally I get through Tuesday at noon. They can't give me an appointment until Friday 11:30. She says "be here Friday at 11:15am" I said okay hang on I'm putting it in my phone calendar...you said Friday at 11:15am?" "Yes" "Okay I'll be there!" I get there at 11:12am today and call them from outside (pandemic protocols) that I'm here. They make me hold. They get back on the phone telling me my appointment was yesterday, with a critical tone, already judging me for not showing up yesterday. Nobody called me yesterday. They claim they did. Then the truth comes out - they called my ex instead, who didn't even make the appointment!!! No missed calls, no voicemails on my phone, and the error was THEIR FAULT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! I am so upset. I will never trust this vet ever again. I tried to trust you guys after Biggie almost died from the cushing's meds and this is what you did to me, I'm in still in tears!!! There is more confrontation & chaos than Peace and Love. Dr. Levitan is now in the office only on Friday. She has left her business in the hands of Danielle and Chris who "cancelled" our pet from the practice because I complained and disagreed with them. They even tampered with tgeir reviews on their Facebook page to make it appear they have more good reviews than bad. Mine was removed. The staff is in desparate need of training. Poor Management is the result of high turnover and miscommunications between the vet & staff & clients. All this interferes with the care of our Pets. If the Dr. gave me a quote for services rendered that day and I agreed then I paid my bill; rest assured I would find an additional charge on my next bill for the previous visit. Instead of admitting they made a mistake Danielle consistently told me that it's not a "quote" it's an "estimate" leaving them room to over bill me. FYl...once the bill is paid it's full and final. Each month, I pre-ordered over $1k in herbs as instructed by the Vet.This was supposed to prevent the office from running out of herbs when I needed them. On several occasions I called the office to get my herbs they were out of stock. Instead of apologizing, Danielle would use the excuse that "we have other clients" implying my dogs were not as important. Why make me pre order? As of now our dog is suffering because we have no herbs. Danielle and Chris prohibited the vet from dispensing the herbs I ordered in the beginning of the month. In the summer the HVAC broke down. The staff worked in stifling heat and our pets had to go inside for their exams and treatments. Recently, they had to shut down the office and disinfect because most of the office staff had COVID. They do not let any clients in the building. I have had to wait in the car sometimes for an hour (with my dog) in the the hot summer and cold winter. One of our usual Dr's told me to make an appointment with a specific vet our dog and myself were familiar with. When I drove all the way to the office I was informed the Vet I requested wasn't in and they assigned our appointment to a strange vet I never met. I did not feel comfortable sending my dog inside, alone with a strange vet that I couldn't observe how they would handle my dog. (PLP makes you wait outside in the car. You can't go inside the building) I was falsely accused of MANY horrible things. In attempt to further demonize me in front of an audience, Chris said part of the reason I was being "cancelled" was because I called a client an "asshole" This happened when I first came to the practice after one of our three dogs was killed by a Pitbull and a second dog suffered permanently. Their "client" was the owner of a pitbull who followed and taunted us in the parking lot. I still suffer from PTSD. Chris insensitively kept referring to the murderous attack on our dogs as a dog bite incident. We were cancelled from the practice by Danielle and Chris shortly after we put down one of our dogs who was sometimes at PLP on a weekly, bi-weekly basis for four years. Danielle and Chris said that thev make the full and final decisions and the Vets have no say. The Vets have told me they are fully aware that I am not the only client(s) to complain of this treatment. Unfortunately, nothing is being done about it. Amazing and caring staff. Dr Ballie is a tremendous doctor who has compassion for the Animals and their families. she made putting our dog Piper down so much easier for us and spent do much time helping us with a very tough situation. The entire staff cared fir us with many having tears in their eyes. We travel over 30 minutes to go there and would travels hours if need be as they are that great. I'm not exaggerating when I say that everyone here care and it's far from just a job to any of them. When it comes to caring for your dog you don't want to make a questionable choice I'm always leery about writing when it can lead to life or death situations Dr. Levitan came recommended from a family friend. We had a serious emergency with our beloved dachshund the nearby emergency clinic was ok in the middle of the night but when it came to a good diagnosis and treatment plan, we turned to Dr L ... She laid out the facts ,planned the meds and set up his surgery. We also met with Dr. Anderson she spoke with a true love of dogs. Our pup needed a catheter she took the time to explain reason for and use of in easy to understand terms. Allowing us to leave the office with confidence that our dog was on the mend. Plus be aware she offers veterinary hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Do some research this is excellent for aliments and conditions that your beloved pet might suffer from. In all my years of having dogs I can say with tears in my eyes Dr. L is the most empathetic compassionate veterinarian I have met. Took my dog here for dental care. She had an infected tooth and gingivitis are out d some of the back teeth. I knew she needed some extractions. They did a preliminary exam which included blood work and oral exam. They also charged me for a urine sample which I was to provide at a later date because, she wouldn't urinate for us outside. Antibiotics and pain meds were given. The bill was $570. I thought this was high, but I wasn't going to complain. Then I received their estimate for tooth extractions which was $1651-2500. WHATTTT! I sent them an email saying that this was way too high for tooth extractions. The absolute highest I could pay was $1651 (that is still way too much). They called me up and said, I'm so many words, tough luck, those are our prices. They also refused to refund me for the urinalysis, which was t done, but was paid for, because "it's a package deal". Dr comes in and look in her eyes for 10 minutes with his light, he says he needs a second opinion..Lady dr comes in and asks him what did you see ? He said Maybe it was the light. She leaves and he said he's going to put drops in her eyes and take her pressure. At that point I tell him we are leaving. Never looked at her under eye fur. This is the third time they have tried to up sale exams and products. The dr tells me " maybe I should leave. This place is horrible, I have never in my life left a review. It does n0t matter if its an emergency or not they never have appointments available. 30 mins before they close i had an emergency and they told me they are closing to go to the Emergency vet across the street. They don't seem to care about our animals the way they use too. People are struggling right now and tying to get back on their feet from a pandemic. My pet has a chronic issue for the rest of her life and they want me to redo all bloodwork and come in once every five months for food??? Her condition they told me originally will not change and will be on this food for the rest of her life. When I found out she was running low on her food prior to the appointment they wouldn't even give me a months supply to get her through until her appointment. First impressions walking in, after being referred to this place, is that it is very clean and the people here are very kind. Not phony kind either. Seems quite genuine. They take the time to ask thorough questions about your loved one and constantly reinforce kindness to your pet. They really do seem to care. The Drs are generally nice and seem caring but there is NOTHING that gets done w/o an extra charge or issues. So, back to PLP... Our dog has or had Nasal Cancer and was treated with radiation almost one year ago. He now has a progressive irritation of his nasal canals called Rhinitis. Basically his nasal passages have been damaged by the radiation. We made the decision to bring our Dog to this Practitioner for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy thinking it might help. The first late afternoon appointment we arrived on time from a fair distance away, about 40 minutes or more one way and were taken in fairly quickly. We met with the Doctor discussed the treatment protocol, decided to leave Paul there for his first treatment. We were told it would take approximately one hour. It was suggested we go out maybe get something to eat and come back. Just as we were sitting down I received a call that the a consult for his chest x-rays cleared him for the treatment and they were starting. When we arrived back about 45 minutes to an hour later they had not started. By the time he was done and we paid $1400.00 which did include 5 treatments which they said they would bill the next day when we brought him back but interestingly billed us that evening, we left arriving back home by about 8:45 Pm. On balance even though the Doctor made a negative comment about me in front of my wife even before she spent more then a few minutes with me I still thought our visit was productive. For the next three consecutive visits our appointments were for 9 Am. And for each visit they were not prepared for us and kept me waiting for at least an hour or more to start the procedure. They took our dog in the back and most likely examined him briefly took vital signs and then caged him until they had someone to start the therapy. Each and every time there was either an emergency or some excuse. They were not organized and they should have had someone scheduled to do the treatment in advance. I was not dropping our dog off we were waiting because we live about 20 miles approximately away from the Veterinary and they knew this full well from the start. When I approached the Principle Practitioner to discuss this she retreated like many do when they think they may not win the debate and that's when I decided this was not the place for us. In subsequent emails to this individual I attempted to be contrite and explain my point of view and she decided not to continue treating our Dog and then in another response became very critical of me. I am not a stranger to this sort of behavior. I am the client and the patient happens to be our Dog. We are the priority when a commitment is made by the provider. It's not the other way around. We did not choose this facility for their convenience. I am flexible as it relates to emergencies but I am not going to be the victim of a dysfunctional process. We were there on time every day and with that there is a certain level of expectation. This was not a personality contest nor was anything being given away. We made the commitment and the investment and seemed obvious that was not important to this Practice. Our dog began bleeding from his nose the moment he arrived on the third day and instead of attending to his nose bleed it was more important for the Tech to weigh him as he's bleeding instead of attending to the situation at hand. He was just weighed the day before and nothing changed. It's called triage and prioritizing. The only critical comments I made in subsequent emails were the outward condition of the facility and the one employee that was so loud that it was disruptive waiting in the waiting area maybe 6 to 8 feet away. I am not even sure if she realizes how loud she is. But a nice person it seemed. The following week I requested records sent to another Veterinary Facility and as I was reading over the records it stated the reason for the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy was for Hepatic Hyperplasia which is empirically wrong it was for Nasal Rhinitis and Mucocytis. This is very telling as to the inattentive nature of at least our experience at Peace Love Pets. read more

Dr. Levitan saved my dog, Shiloh's life, plain and simple. He had pneumonia but two other vets in Nassau county told us he was having heart failure and were giving him meds that weren't working for his condition and she figured it out right away. The other vets wanted me to euthanize my dog and here I am with him nearly 2 years later. I am so unbelievably thankful for her care. She has been above and beyond responsive on all crucial matters for him. My highest possible recommendation. read more

It disgusts me that this place is so top rated. While the staf and vets are very nice and friendly and if you're looking to get a deal cost wise this is a great place to go. However, vet and staff are extremely absent minded. My highly anxious cat went in for a routine CT scan. I made the appointment for early in the morning so she wouldnt have to run in to any other animals...especially dogs. They were very accomodating that way. I also asked to be called as soon as she is done and I will take her home right away because she will freak out waking up there...they agreed. Tha is however not what happened. I called 5 or 6 times throughout the day. Staff could not give me an answer to how she was or if she had even had the procedure done yet. I finally went in there at 6 pm and insisted on finding out what was going on. I was explained that she was having uncontrollable seizures and that I needed to take her across the street to emergency care.I asked the vet (Dr. Levittan) how she knew they were seizures and if she was just acting crazy bc thats what she does when shes fearful. Dr. Levittan insisted they were seizures. She was so doped up at the time I couldnt get an accurate reading. I was understandably upset and did as the vet told me to do. I went to the emergency vet the next morning to pick my 3 year old kitty up and they said she was just agitated, no seizure activity but she was thrashing around and that I should take her back across the street to peace love pets as was decided the day before. That being said I thought my cat was unnecessarily meicated for seizures when that wasn;t really the case. I had them unhook the IVs and send her home with me. I asked if she was OK to go home and if there was anything I needed to do. They said no, just try to keep her calm. I brought her home, she screamed and thrashed around the room for days, covered in her own urine and feces. 4 days later I peeked in on her and noticed my 6 lb cats foot was 4x the size....no joke. I have pics of it next to a ruler. The bandage they left of her after discharge was waaay too tight. I had to towel her and use nail scissors to cut it off. I couldnt see whee the bandage was because of all the swelling. When I got it off I couldnt even wrap it around my ppinkey finger...and this was around her ankle. Literally after I got it off she started eating and let me pick her up for pets. She had trouble walking on it for a couple weeks but she was happy and friendly again. Just so you can get a good picture of her crazy behavior, it was something out of the exorcist. Screaming, growling, throwing herself. She laid upside down in the litter box for over 25 hours. the creek of a door opening sent her into thrashing and yeowling mode again. I got a refund from the vet...she wouldn't speak to me. Honestly, I just wanted to talk to her to make sure something like this never happened again. When I got my cats medical records to go to another vet, they had my older cat as spayed twice. They had canine things on there and procedures that were never done...and its not like they mixed up my 2 cats or anythhing...because none of it added up. They had allergies to meds listed for my cats which is not the case...I feel bad who evers pet should have it on their records and don't. I brought the medical records and hilighted what I KNEW to be wrong so my new vet could get an idea for their medical histories. He just tossed it, said none of it made any sense. If this incident didnt happen I would have no clue of the irresponsibility, carelessness and disorganization of the staff and vets there. My cats were patients there for years and I used to recommend them. Definitely do not take your pet there for anything out of the norm like check ups and shots. Make sure they are given the right vaccines and that things are properly documented. The paperwork they give you when you leave will look fine, but if you ask for a print out at a later date things will not make sense. My boyfriend had a life threatening problem there as well....due to poor care and misdiagnosis. This happened over the course of 4 years and it didnt come to light until we reviewed the medical records...they also wouldn't give us test results of his cat to take to the new vet. The list goes on. Please, I plead with you...take this seriousely...My cats are my furbabies. I'm OK with being the crazy cat lady. But please please reconsider when going here and if you do...please please stay on top of things and advocate for your furbabies read more

Diane Levitan who is the owner of "Peace Love Pets" is the best veterinary specialist that I have ever seen. Her upmost care and attention to the smallest detail was very surprising. We came here for a 2nd opinion because our current place didn't want to see our little guy anymore. After visiting this place it was very clear as to why. Diane has the confidence and knowledge that suppresses any of my expectations. She actually is the one who operates and does everything herself with the assistance of her excellent staff too. She is total hands on and has zero fear of any complex situations that you bring to her practice. It takes ALOT to impress me and I felt compelled to open a yelp account just to make sure everyone on Long Island knows about this place. I have been to 4 different vets over my life time and it was always about the money. I hated the fact that people use our pets as income generating receipts. While I understand vets needs to get paid its also about doing whats right by our little ones because its our responsibility. Our little guy was given his death bed warning and placed on heavy medications by our prior veterinary. He was told he has little time left and that was it. They didn't even want to cut his nails anymore or run any tests. Each time we had visited our prior vet our little guy hated them and now we know why. Soon as we walk into "Peace Love Pets" you immediately know why its named that. Peace is because its a very calm office. No one is running around or playing games. Love is because the staff and Diane Levitan actually will LOVE your pet. She genitally handled our little guy and gave him a kiss. Everyone treated our little guy including us with the upmost professional care and love that I have ever seen. This practice is absolutely the best on Long Island. I would even travel 100 miles if that's what it took to just have my pet seen by them. BTW our little guy is way better then we were told originally. His medications were cut in half now. We have now a clear prospective of his health and a new Vet moving forward. Hands down Diane Levitan is the best one on Long Island. Very disappointed. I switched my 2 dogs over to them a year ago. A few weeks ago I got a new puppy and the the breeder gave me 2 days to have the dog checked out by a veterinarian. I called to make an appointment and was told the didn't have any "well visits" for 2 weeks. I asked for a manager and explained I signed a contract and couldn't wait 2 weeks. I was advised that they have to "save" appointments in case someone has a sick pet. Even after I reminded them I would now have 3 dogs to take to them they said if they had a cancellation they would call me. They spoke to one of the doctors who confirmed my puppy couldn't be seen and next time I get a puppy I should call them first to see if and when they can accommodate me. read more

I cannot say enough about how incredible my experience was yesterday. I took my Kangal Dog for shots, a check up, way overgrown nails to be cut, ears cleaned, and X-rays of his hips, etc. it's been well over two years and at 4 years old, 160-180lbs, and vicious( I mean really vicious.. google Kangal). I have been using Kevin for well over twenty years, and trust him like a brother and great friend. But to find all the veterinarians helping out was something you just wouldn't expect or know, unless you saw it first hand. Peace Love and Pets is by far the very best in care for any animal, and way more affordable than anything I've ever heard. Trust me when I say, everyone's animals get 5 star service and care, and I saw it first hand. Six people working on my sedated dog, and working as a finely tuned machine. This place is beyond AMAZING & WONDERFUL ! Dr. Levitan is the most caring and wonderful veterinarian I have ever meet. She actually drove at least a half hour on her day off from her home to check on our little girl Piper and on the 4th of July another off day called us to check on her. Piper had received care from the entire staff that goers beyond wonderful. The technicians at this office as knowledgeable as a veterinarian and show sincere concern and love for your pet. By our second visit Dr. Levitan felt like family and as if we have known her for many years. Every staff member is so very pleasant and always smiling and helpful. THANK-YOU, Dr. Levitan, Chelsea, Sabrina, Danielle and Tiffany. I'm sure I left others out but I went with who I have dealt with and remember. ALL are TERRIFIC !!! I honestly have no words to describe how wonderful my recent experience at Peace Love Pets was but i would like to try by saying the staff is down right amazing from the girls in the front who were just absolutely the sweetest people ever to the techs in the back that cared for my very sick little girl with such a caring dedication and made me feel so much more at ease knowing she was so critical and needed every bit of help she could even the practice manager who was not directly involved in her care went over and beyond out of concern for her inability to maintain her temperature overnight entrusting me with a hospital heating unit to borrow for the night stating ( it would help him sleep better knowing she had something so necessary to make it through the night) I literally was so taken back that my cats ability to stay alive mattered more to him then the risk of loaning the equipment or repercussions of doing so i don't think i could ever be more thankful to all of them but the most significant part of my experience there worth mentioning is having had the skillful hands of Dr. Levitan treating my baby I can say with certainty she wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for her I was simply referred for a consult with the expectations i was going to some pompous specialist that is only out for money that preys on the critical state of your beloved pet to take them for everything they got as most specialty animal hospitals do but not her she held my little girl and kissed her on her head and jumped right in she didn't ask me how much money I had she just told me she will do anything she can to help me save her she didn't care about anything but her and no one in the world could ever convince me that she didn't save my cats life the day I met her I don't know what the future will bring sadly my cat got very sick before she was on the case and some damage may not be reversed but one thing is for sure no matter what happens i will never be more thankful for all the things she did for her and for me i wouldn't of ever been able to afford to provide her with the care she required even make it through the day and was almost forced to make a decision that would of been heartbreaking to make so any time I have with now I owe to Dr. Levitan and I'm forever grateful. read more

I live 17 miles east of peace love pets. One morning my dog hurt himself and I had to go to the office so I took him with me to commack and to PLP. They were fantastic especially since I was not a regular and they had no long term relationship with my dog. The 2 vets have excellent credentials and the equipment there was top notch from X-ray to sonography! As a physician I am always asking questions about pet care and seeing the caring and capable care they offer I will bring my dog there for routine vet care from now on. read more

SIMPLY PUT- THEY ARE EXTRAORDINARY... Peace Love Pets sets standards of excellence fur baby parents have dreamed of. They are truly a godsend. Their kindness and caring, their competence and knowledge, their top drawer, problem- focused ability to see what other vets miss... and they are so thorough. My sister referred me there with my cat Frodo, who'd been sick for weeks, and I barely recognized my sweet boy anymore. Our regular vet we've used for years was getting nowhere through several weeks, various meds, and continual visits, and Frodo was slipping away. I was losing hope. My heart was broken. When I spoke to Dr. Levitan, I was astounded at her ability to diagnose a cat she'd never met- by phone yet. She is so caring. And, by God, she is brilliant! I knew from my sister's experience with her that she is amazing. And though Frodo has multiple issues that could be serious, I was immediately set at ease that I was finally going to be able to help him. Dr. Levitan was away, but interrupted her own life, took the reins and immediately got me in to see Dr. Baillie in her office. Wow! Dr. Baillie's skill, compassion, knowledge, and the way she treated Frodo was incredible. She remedied some problems that were torturing him that my regular vet hadn't even thought of. The techs are so kind, and know more than any I have ever met. They go the extra mile on all those things that really help and matter. And the office staff is so sweet and caring. They have the patience of saints. They are all just SO WONDERFUL! This morning, I brought in my baby boy, sick, lethargic, having trouble breathing through his nose, and barely eating, or purring, and not defecating. Tonight I brought home my little panther, who ate all his food, and wanted more- purring away, full of energy and vigor, and who for the first time in days was able to defecate! I know we're not done with his health problems, but for the first time, I have hope. I have my Frodo back, when I was certain I was losing him. And I know if it is humanly possible to make him well, he is in the very best place- the only place-with the most competent and caring people to do so. My world was falling apart this Christmas.
