Having two separate areas for the dogs, big and small size, helps too so that pups stay in their weight class. The fenced in outdoor play areas are great and on the icky days, they have inside areas as well ready for all the Mother Nature's antics. Winni loved going to Four Paws, and each time came home and crashed from all the fun. Four Paws was also very accommodating with a Pup Bus when I could not get her to daycare or home. One day at our vet he asked if they boarded cats, they gave us a pamphlet that was just dropped off and said The Whisker Haven had just opened up. We immediately called and asked to see the place. Trina was so great and understood why I would be nervous. Her place is strictly for cats so it is a nice and relaxing place for them. She showed us around and we even met her two cats that were there. Trina put so much thought and care into her place and it can be seen with all the little details I would never have thought of. I was so happy that we booked four days with her for the July 4th holiday. She asked if it was OK if she texted us updates, and of course, we were happy to get them! While we were away we received pictures and updates. Our Agnes was doing great and looked so happy and comfortable. When we showed up to pick her up, she didn't want to leave! She was walking around and enjoying the large cat tree that is near her large window in the back. She was so happy and enjoyed her time there. Trina also brushed her, which we were able to tell because she felt so nice and well taken care of. Surprisingly, we put her on the floor and she walked back into her "cat condo", ate, and went to sleep in the bed! This is truly the best place you could bring your cat. Trina cares for animals and is a true cat lover. She has thought of everything possible to make your cat's time there enjoyable. She even will give your cat their medication for a small fee, this was great because our cat needs a pill twice a day. We have already booked future dates because we feel she will be booked up once the word gets out! We highly recommended bringing your cat here. It is like an affordable spa vacation for your cat. She texted me one day and asked if I was interested in a dog that she had up adaption. I went to check out the dog . The dog was friendly and appeared to get along with my other dog . I decided to see how things went and brought the dog home with me Everything was going well for a few weeks . There was some rough housing but nothing serious. There was an incident. I brought the dog back to the kennel. But in hindsight should not have done that . I overreacted. This employee and I exchanged messages and she told me she would get back in touch with me. . I really wanted this dog. Spent a lot of quality time with him . I Bought a bed, crate, and his food that he was eating at the kennel. This employee won't give me back the dog. This employee never called me . I realized how unprofessional, immature, ridiculous and on some level mean and cruel this was. This experience gave me a horrible taste in my mouth for dog rescues. Please think twice about dog rescues when you are asked to sign a 2-3 page contract. This employee was just absolutely ridiculous. I guess she feels this dog is better off in a kennel than a loving home.

I'm only giving two stars because the reception area and front desk is clean and well kept....the…read morerest is downhill from there. 1) I told them my dog was shy and anxious in new places and could he be kept in a room that is generally quieter with more mellow dogs for play, when I returned I learned he was kenneled downstairs alone with a ton of other loud barking dogs 2) I emailed the owner after this unsatisfactory experience and she didnt get back to me--ever--and I didnt get a bounce back either so she got it. 3) I STILL thought well maybe I'll give this another try since they were so closeby, the third visit and like the 5th person I met who had no idea who my dog was was there....I told her the same situation/shy with other dogs etc/low key play room please/ she takes him downstairs, another young woman comes upstairs with my dog and tosses him in the crazy loudest room with all the roudy dogs. My dog was scared to death, and was standing there frozen while the other bigger dogs humped him. Finally after I pointed and exclaimed, another person went in to break it up. I havent been back here since last August. Stay away. Lastly 4) this place is for people who work nearby who only care about convenience, it might as well be a crappy kennel, its definitely staffed by clueless young people who dont know how to communicate with customers or with their other coworkers. There is a wonderful place in Enfield where my boy goes now, it costs me more in gas to get there but its worth it for my canine family member.

Their operation offers attention for boarders, plenty of space for exercise and opportunities for getting along with others (unless your dog is a loner). the point is, we guess, that their care focuses on what's good for the dog not what they're concerned about. We have no complaints from our experiences. The rate is $28 a night, and knowing your pet is safe and happy is well worth that, in our view. (They also are open late afternoons on weekends, making a pickup a bit easier after a trip.)
