Emily gave a great massage and focused on the strained areas of my back and shoulder as soon as I told her I had been doing more overhead and dragging movements this week. Great pressure in the right spots and focus on what I asked for. Options of regular or deep tissue, dry or oil, option for back walk and I think specific massages like head feet hands etc for the shorter time slots. There's a shower available if you need to rinse off after massage or before Incase it's a hot day so your not gross. They also offer cupping which I did not have time to do but definitely will try next time. Yes it's tucked back in the business row and it's next to a shop, so sometimes you can hear music or loud talking and yea, they are busy and mostly do walk in, so that might throw off the "spa" vibe too. If you want an immersive isolated spa experience, probly not your spot. Simple drop in massage by talented staff, they did what they could to create a nice peaceful spot, door chimes, waterfalls, spa.music unscented but good smelling air. I booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I, but when we arrived they told us they could not do a couples massage after seeing him and that we would need to do individual massages instead. We agreed since we were already there. Before starting, we both used the restroom and noticed there was a shower inside with soaps and products that looked recently used, which felt a little strange and made us uncomfortable. We were taken to separate rooms. My massage itself was actually good and the therapist did a nice job. However, about 30 minutes into my massage the door to my room suddenly opened and the therapist quickly closed it. At the time I thought it was odd but didn't know what happened. Afterward my boyfriend told me that during his massage the therapist offered him a "happy ending" and even said "your wife doesn't need to know." When he declined, the massage ended early. We are now wondering if that was the moment when my door randomly opened. Overall the experience felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. I came to this place first because of pain from work -- my back and shoulder always stiff. The massage lady (small, always wears white top -- I didn't catch her English name) helped me a lot. Her hands are very strong, but she knows how to use them. Not just random pushing -- she finds the right spots and presses deep, but not in a painful way. After the first time, I already felt some relief. She also did cupping -- a little hot, leaves marks, but afterwards the muscles feel much lighter. I came back several times. Each time she remembered me and my problems. Not like other places where they just do the same massage every visit. She focused on the exact areas I told her, and sometimes even found tight spots I didn't notice. She really tries to fix the problem, not just help you relax. Last visit, I noticed they changed the floor -- now it's very clean and looks like nice wood. The place feels fresh and more comfortable now, very tidy. Now my pain is almost gone. I'm very thankful. HO-LY....MO-LY!!! Warning..... this is going to be long, but I speak from the heart..... Since I have moved to the area last year, it has been virtually impossible to find a solid massage therapist...... (keep reading) I have Fibromyalgia and live every minute in pain. My pain has been at a level 10 and not even the prescribed pain medicine that I was given for moments like this has been able to control it. Pain medicine does not control fibromyalgia, I only take it when I can no longer handle it.....remember... I'm the girl who was in active labor in the hospital for 23 days with contractions that attacked me every 2-10 minutes..... doctors were confused and nurses were blown away every time they hooked me up to a monitor. I ONLY opted to take pain medicine TWO times in 23 days because I just wanted a break from the pain. Fibro.... is likely caused from PTSD from emotional or physical trauma.... I did not do myself any favors by trying to be a hero. But, back to the point... Today, I could barely walk. The pain was SO unbearable, that several times I almost puked or passed out. I told myself to keep going because I got too much shit to do today. Again, why do I do this to myself?! I called Peaceful Springs Space and minutes later my outlook on life improved... It's a new massage that I found on Yelp/Google with zero reviews. I called because it was the closest one to me and I was desperate to get out of pain. This is the first time that I took a shot in the dark and I'm glad I did. Mable answered my call and said that she would be happy to see me right away. I told her that I only had 30 minutes before I had to go pick up my kids and she understood.... I could barely make it inside. It was difficult to think or even talk, but she knew who I was from our phone call and quickly rushed me to a room. She assured me that she would help get me out of pain. I was escorted to a private room and got ready for my massage. Getting on the massage table was beyond difficult. I was clenching and grinding the heck out of my teeth to just gather up the strength to get on the table. She came in and asked me if deep tissue was OK. I said, "absolutely." She said "OK, you'll be out of pain soon" and boy was she right! Mable hopped up on the table and held onto the ceiling bars, then proceeding to walk on my back. With each push of her heel, I could feel the pain slowly meltaway. I just laid there imagining what life would be like to be healthy. I started to remember all the things that I used to do and felt like they were light years away from the person I am today. I had a lot of self-doubt and I was being really hard on myself. Fibromyalgia HAS BROKEN MY SPIRIT. 30 minutes went by and she asked me if I felt better. I stood up and for the first time in a long time, I remembered what it felt like to feel good again. I was overjoyed that I cried like a baby in front of her. I was so fucking grateful that she gave me a break from this nonstop hell that I've been living in for way too long. Covid rules or not... I grabbed her and hugged her so tight. I told her that she was going to get sick of seeing my face because that I would always be in there. I told her that I will write her first review and sing her praises, but only if she promised to still make time for me when she becomes super popular and known for her amazing skills. Whether you live in the area or not, she is worth the drive. Her name is Mable and today she saved me. Today she gave me hope that I will once again, one day, be able to live free from this. I drove the whole way home crying with tears of joy imagining myself dancing on stage again. Please call her. Please book with her. I came to Mable since she was the only place open on April 15, 2022. Didn't think much about this place since it was hidden but boy was I wrong. I came in with pain all over my back, unable to twist or turn my neck, with sharp pain between my shoulder blades. This has been on going for about 4 months and I seemed chiropractic treatment but it was always temporary. Every week I'd have to go back and get adjusted, but after 1 session with Mable, I've yet to go back to the chiropractor. I chose to get the Thai deep tissue massage and she suggested the cupping for my back. I followed her instructions and after the 1 hour session, I felt great! I was still stiff but so much more relaxed, and after about a week of regular activity I completely forgot those 4 months of pain. 10/10 would recommend her. Very sketchy place. I had an appointment at 11:00, I was already on the parking lot at 10:55 or so. As I saw the 10:00 costumer leave, they called me on the phone and asked me to come in 15 minutes later. I thought the masseuse needed a break, since they only had one employee, so I waited in the car. When I finally showed up there at 11:15 there was a construction guy checking out... for a 15 minute massage? Doubtful. I asked to use the bathroom and there was a shower there with various shampoo and soap bottles. Like, who would take a shower there? As I was in the middle of my massage another male costumer showed up asking for an appointment. And my masseuse had to stop the massage and go make the appointment since there was nobody else there. I've actually been seeing Mabel for over a year at her current location; I was previously referred to her at her previous location for a specialized problem. I have a variety of conditions, the most problematic being the plantar fasciitis. In short, there's no cure, it's part of aging, but a good quality massage made from love and heart goes a long, long way to addressing it, and making it a little more bearable. I've been to a number of masseuses (western and asian) but at the end of the day, Mabel is the most consistent and capable, bar none. (I do have a second choice but she's 2nd by far.) I can go for DAYS without ibuprofen after a good 90 minute session with Mabel. If that's not amazing, I don't know what is. My only wish is that her English were a little better, but that's really just the nature of the business or the situation. Still, between using limited Chinese (on my part) and just patient repeated explanation, I usually am able to communicate my concerns generally ok. I really have a hard time doing less than 90 minutes with her (but for me that's also about the limit before the returns start to diminish) but I think they do have a 30 minute option as is typical for this type of establishment setup. read more
