Horrific stitching on edge of ear, causing hair to go every which way. Possibly a hole poorly stitched shut

Final update on this sickening situation w/ "Not So Peaceful" Waters - Edited to add - The fact that Dr Rose is threatening legal action over my factual review & its updates is ridiculous & supports my perception that their priorities lie with optics, not customer service & care. Mine is just ONE review in a sea of 5 star reviews; they still have a 5 star rating overall! Why threaten legal action for that? This feels like intimidation, & seems pretty cruel considering I've explained that I'm already under immense stress due to my complex chronic health issues & have no income (I'm trying to get SSDI but it's a long process). I should be the one pursuing legal action against them for emotional distress, but I'm not & have no intention to do so! I'd rather just put this all behind me as it's already sapped more than enough of my precious little energy. Yes, Dr Rose told me to "stop engaging" via email on Monday, & I was true to my word in ceasing to contact them once my questions were answered late Monday night. Updating my review here on Yelp is within my rights as a consumer & in my mind is engagement of Yelp & the general public, not PW directly. I also wanted to give them credit for doing the right thing by issuing a refund for the work in question, so readers may draw their own conclusions based on the full facts. It was her choice to engage w/ me by posting a response directed at me. She's also now deleted her response to my initial review in which she describes their outsourcing as a "referral" & repeatedly denies PW's involvement w/ the taxidermy work. Dr Rose did eventually issue a refund for the taxidermy work done by their contractor Reno, & I'm waiting for the check to clear. While I appreciate them doing the right thing in this respect, it's never been about about the money, it's always been about the irreversible mutilation of my baby's body & the way they've handled my feedback. Almost aspect of the experience was unacceptable, & has NOT felt prompt. I cannot be more clear in this - I commissioned Peaceful Waters to do pet preservation taxidermy work which they offered on their website & confirmed as offered by them, w/ no mention of third party involvement in spite of multiple emails back & forth, my sharing that I'd been through the process before & that I'd be traveling from out of town. It was only when they had my dog & my money that they revealed the taxidermy work was done off site, by THEIR taxidermist who I was assured was exceptional & had trained with the best pet preservationist in the state, whose early work I actually possess, which I'd told them in person. I cannot speak to whether or not they knew if Reno wasn't fully truthful about their training. Dr Rose's insistence that Peaceful Waters did NOT perform the work in question is not factual. The only way it could be twisted into the truth is that the work was performed off site; but it was performed by the taxidermist of their choice, who they outsourced to. I commissioned them, paid them, & only had communication with them. There was no "referral." They farmed the work out to Reno, their choice, not mine. PW also performed the initial steps of the taxidermy including creation of foam molds, measurement taking, & skinning, which was confirmed to me in writing. It appears they failed to inspect the work for quality control in spite of it being done & I assume in their possession for MONTHS before notifying me it was complete. They strongly imply that the way Rosie was mishandled by Reno is what pet preservation is supposed to look like. Go look at the work done by professional pet preservationists ie: Precious Creature, or even non-pet taxidermy & you'll see that it's not the standard for the work to be poorly finished in this way. In spite of claiming to be available 24/7 & to truly care for their clients, as soon as I expressed dissatisfaction I felt I was treated like a nuisance & gaslit. Instead of taking responsibility for choosing to hire an unqualified individual who lies about their experience & training, they strongly implied that my expectations were unrealistic, & denied having any part in the process, also not factual. Even if they're great at aquamation & in home euthanasia, I'd never recommend this company, based on their unscrupulous handling of the situation. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have a poor experience w/ them, I just may be the first to speak out about it. My pictures keep getting removed as they've likely been flagged, & I plan to contact Yelp if that continues to happen.

In 2021, we used Peaceful Waters for the first time for our two loving boys, Bronx and Boomer. Just last month, we had to call them again for our beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn. Losing a pet is incredibly hard, and making that decision is even harder but we knew it was the most loving choice we could make for our babies. We are so thankful for the team at Peaceful Waters. The doctors who came to our home treated our pets with so much dignity and gentleness, and they held space for us with so much compassion. They never made us feel rushed, answered every question with patience, and truly understood the depth of our loss. If you have the pleasure of being cared for by this team, you will feel how genuine their kindness is. They bring comfort, peace, and a sense of warmth when you need it most. We will always be grateful for the love and care they showed us and our babies. Thank you

I chose to have memorial pieces created by Kristine King, the creator behind Floral Familiars, and they are beyond stunning. The pressed floral memorial is absolutely beautiful--so thoughtfully arranged and full of meaning--and the flower ash keychain is something I carry with me every day. Both pieces feel incredibly special and personal, and they've brought me a lot of comfort. You can truly see the care and artistry that went into them.

Incredibly kind and understanding at such difficult and traumatic moments for so many. We appreciated the private room where we were able to have an impromptu funeral for our big boi and the book about the rainbow bridge which we read out loud as part of our ceremony. We appreciated the extra attention given to making sure the plaque says exactly what we want it to say and ensuring correct spelling of our special boy's special name. Pricing is reasonable for what the service is. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You helped us give our boi the send off he deserves.

When my Zeke died on Christmas Day, I had to find somewhere to cremate him and help me forever remember him out loud. Peaceful Waters was my choice after researching services, reviews and prices. Their options were great and the staff were friendly. It's all that I needed. Brought my fur baby back in a heart shaped urn that was coincidentally available in my business companies colors. It was perfect and meant to be.

This is our second time using Peaceful Waters. Dr. rose and her team were so compassionate and caring after we lost our sweet dog. We knew we were in the best hands and treasure the special momentos we received.

DJ mustard couldn't have been take care of any better. From the moment you walk into peaceful waters the ambiance is very soothing and reassuring that your baby is in good hands. They provided so many heartwarming options and space in calm room/ setting w all the time needed to say goodbye. The staff, service and care was above and beyond. Richard Humpty Vision was also lost shortly after; the options were a little different but just as thoughtful. I could see the attentiveness they gave him considering the options i wanted were no longer available.

Atlas was 13yo, and I made the difficult decision to decline the invasive treatment options available. Instead, I vowed that Atlas would live out the rest of his days with peace and joy, never stepping foot in a vet clinic again. Peaceful Veterinary Care allowed me to keep that vow to Atlas by giving him a calm and dignified passing at home surrounded by his favorite people. From the kind and empathetic staff answering my questions over the phone to Dr. Rose's professional and compassionate bedside manner with Atlas and me alike, everyone at Peaceful Veterinary Care is truly in service of the families they care for. The day of Atlas' passing was beautiful and bright, so we all went out to my backyard where Atlas could feel most comfortable. We were not rushed in our goodbyes or grief, and the entire process was quiet and calm... I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to plan those arrangements for my dearest boy. He deserved nothing less. I will add that I initially chose Peaceful Veterinary Care because I was especially interested in their aquamation services. I knew that I wanted Atlas' ashes, but I also wanted a more environmentally responsible option than traditional cremation. Atlas' remains were ready in one short week, and they even included a beautiful clay paw print and a small collection of fur. The loss of a beloved family pet is profound and devastating. The services offered by Peaceful Veterinary Care honor the sanctity of those deep bonds, allowing space to truly celebrate the life and love shared.

I was given all the time I needed to say goodbye and never felt rushed. Shylaah was treated with dignity and love every step of the way, from the in-home euthanasia to receiving her ashes. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Chapman and Stacy and highly recommend Peaceful Veterinary Care.

This company is a scam, not only did we not receive tracking, but they picked up my dog in a freaking trash bag and even had the audacity to say "have a great day" when they were leaving my house with my dead dog. After the weird interaction we still believed we had placed our dog in good hands. After 2 weeks, we still had not heard anything about his where about or when we would get him back. We called and were told that weather had delayed the process. Death and cremations don't stop because of some rain, so we started to get suspicious. After 3 weeks we still had not received any update. We called back, no one answered. Called again and left a voicemail, and then someone finally called back. They said they had shipped our dog on Friday (3/31/23) and that we should receive the package in 3 to 5 days. We asked for a tracking number and received one that didn't work. We complained again and then they claimed they missed a digit and sent the corrected tracking. When you look at the tracking, our dog wasn't shipped out on Friday (3/31/23), he was actually shipped out on Tuesday (4/4/23). When we finally got the package, the ashes were in a freaking ziplock bag and I'm not fully convinced they are my dog's ashes. We also received a clay paw print that looks nothing like my dog's paw print. I am absolutely disgusted by this company
