He works with most insurances and will work with you if he is out of network. I like the fact that he does teeth cleaning himself instead of passing it off to a hygienist. The best part of Dr Gardner is that he will not recommend unnecessary procedures or visits. He is conservative with his treatment options and is not focused on maximizing visits and his bill. I totally trust Dr Gardner with my teeth and have recommended him to multiple family and friends.

Immediately, he put me at ease when he personally met me at the front door, and I recognized his personable demeanor. His office is cozy, with a single room for him to work in, but he has all the technology you'll need for your appointments right there. He is extremely easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable and at home the minute you walk in the door, and he did a wonderful job of teaching me as he was going. I've never had a simple cleaning where my dentist took the time to pull out pictures and teach me about the importance of dental hygiene as Dr. Gardner did. I was extremely pleased with my time here and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist in the Philadelphia area!

Y? Because my gums were inflamed and I have to take antibiotics until next week so the numbing meds/shots can work and to ensure I don't get an infection (what I was told by the supervisor). I cried like noooooo bodies business when they attempted to pull it out and wanted them to finish so I didn't have to come back; VERY POOR DECISION on my part and the story stops there as I was told the process is not suppose to be painful and they will see me next week after I take the pills prescribed. --------------------------------------------------- The students are coached throughout the entire process and it's funny to see their attitudes when their redirected about something. It's hard to take criticism sometimes, so I get it! Be prepare for the orchestrated "chat" while walking to make your $95.00 payment (for the uninsured. Would clearly never come here with paid insurance) I will update once I go back for my appointment.

This is a long read, but very important info for ANYONE who is considering North East Dental as a…read moreviable place to go for dental work. I am still dealing with an utter mess after visiting Dr. Kinga's Allegheny office. I was very wary of the treatment plan Dr. Kinga outlined on my first visit. After x-rays and a technique she used to measure my gums, she said I would need a thorough (and definitely painful) gum scaling. That was my first appointment, and I was encouraged to make 2 more follow up appointments on the spot. On my next appointment, without even cleaning my teeth, she filled a cavity, and attempted to fix a small chip in my front tooth. If I had more life experience or know-how about basic dentistry, I would have known how unprofessional and below the board the place really is--but as it was, I trusted Dr. Kinga's expertise as best I could, even though I knew not doing a cleaning first seemed fishy. I then got a bill for the work done so far, over $600 for: -Xrays -1 fixed chip tooth -1 filling -The so-called gum measurement A WEEK LATER, the chip repair on my front tooth snapped directly off the tooth, taking more enamel with it. It was very painful, and caused me a great deal of anxiety and discomfort. I went directly back into the office to show Dr. Kinga my tooth. She said she could fix it for me, but by that time, I wanted nothing to do with them. Even without insurance, I am certain they were trying to bill me to their advantage only; jacking up prices is a dirty and dishonest thing to do. To make matters worse for them, I am now a patient at an extremely reputable Dental practice, where upon first seeing my teeth, they told me my gums were perfectly fine, and they suspected that suggesting scaling was an attempt by Dr. Kinga at over-treatment for the purpose of collecting more money. My new dentist also confirmed that it was extremely negligent and ridiculous that Dr. Kinga did not clean my teeth before performing her dental work. They were able to see dental adhesive/cement on my chipped tooth, and confirmed that the enamel had been extremely damaged by Dr. Kinga's botched work. I paid my new dentist to restore the tooth completely, which of course cost even more money. I have a bill for the remainder of the services that were performed at North East Dental that has been sent to collections, and I am working with them and a lawyer to resolve this issue. All I would like is the bill dropped, as on principle alone I refuse to pay someone who caused MORE damage to my teeth, but North East Dental has been extremely unprofessional whilst I try to resolve this issue with them. Dr. Kinga would not speak with me on the phone, instead instructing the receptionist, who was extremely rude, to tell me there is nothing they can do until Dr. Kinga "talks to her husband." I am able to continue with my lawyer even without their cooperation, but seeing as I made it clear that all I want is the bill dropped because of actual, recorded, painful damage to my teeth, you would think they would want to cooperate or even display a bare minimum amount of professionalism. They continue to deny any responsibility, parroting the phrase that they "did this work in good faith" and demand to be paid. Utterly ridiculous. I may be young, but I know I have rights as a patient, and I refuse to pay them a cent. I would recommend that you STAY AWAY from North East Dental. What a nightmare!

It's been a few months since we switched over to a new insurance plan, but it only occurred to me…read morelast week that my husband and I are due for our dentist visits. So, I called Team Dental to schedule appointments for my husband and me. I did not think there would be any available openings and was expecting to wait 1-2 months before seeing our new dentist. To my surprise, the office manager, Lauren was able to squeeze us in for a weekday evening slot. All my life, I've had to wait 20 minutes or longer in the waiting room before the dentist/dental assistant sees me. But NOT at Team Dental. The dentist/dental assistant/dental hygienist was ready to see me pretty much as soon as I arrived. All the staff at Team Dental are very friendly and professional. My first dentist visit was with Dr. Muhammad. Not only was he super thorough with my examination but he had THE BEST bedside manner of any dentist I've ever seen. After my examination, he explained to me the condition of my teeth and explained why I needed a deep cleaning. I started to freak out about how bad my teeth were, but he was very reassuring and took time to show me photos of worst-case scenario gum disease and that I was nowhere near that. All I had to do was get the deep cleaning and floss a lot more. Cynthia, the dental hygienist who did the deep cleaning for me was amazing too. I was nervous before the deep cleaning because I've never had one done before, but she properly numbed me so that I did not feel any pain. Then she deep cleaned the **** out of my teeth. Never have my teeth felt so good and so clean!!! Seeing the dentalcare I'm getting at Team Dental made me realize what good dentalcare is like. My previous dentists did the bare minimum and were never this thorough. Up to yesterday, I thought my teeth were fine, but they really weren't! Also, Team Dental understands the urgency of the health of your teeth. If you are experiencing pain and the longer care is delayed, the worse your condition will get. They will try to get you in as soon as possible, no matter how busy they are. It is really a great feeling to know the health of your teeth is in good hands with Team Dental.

I took umbrage with the business side of the practice for a consultation I had there for an obvious cavity that I wanted to be looked at. Their website said they do consultations so I called and went in. I sat down and the hygienist started to prep for a cleaning. I said no, I was there for a consultation only. They did one xray of the affected tooth, the dentist probed it and my mouth a bit, spending about seven minutes with me. The charge was $150. During the initial call for the appointment, the follow up call, and a call the morning of when they asked if I could come in earlier, there was never any mention of a consultation charge. I would have been far better off just getting a full cleaning and xrays for $250 or whatever it is and the 'consultation' would have been included. Of course, it's their right to charge whatever they want for whatever they do, but they should disclose on the website, or tell you on the phone "we may charge $150 for a brief consultation" for existing patients.
