We spent the better part of a week at Peach Tree and really liked it. The staff were super friendly, and we were upgraded from a king suite to a 2 BD/2 BA little house, with a full kitchen, dining room and family room, hardwood floors throughout. Very clean place, including plug-in pest control units. The included breakfast served in the office is a grab and go muffins, bagels, cookies, etc. , so we decided to pass. We liked the drive in carports just outside the doors. Monster ice machine on-site, very nice to have access to that! On-site pool too, we didn't use it though. Needs some work! LOL. GOODS: - room was clean - bed was comfy - the water pressure in the shower was AMAZING - close to Main Street and easy access - very easy check in and out (almost too easy they didn't even verify ID or card) - very quiet and people were so kind BADS: - very small room - the door was loud closing - if you have a larger vehicle, you can't park in the car ports - the continental breakfast was more of a grab a bag of muffins and go. Very minimal option and coffee was weak. - the refrigerator had some sort of an awful smell It's was just fine for what we needed and a cute little boutique place! The primary property is an original 1920ish motor lodge. There is a car port next to your room the size to fit your automobile of the era. The room and bedding was very clean but had a strong undiscrible odor. The room was appointed with Thrift store furniture and a blanket of the workout sofa. The room has obviously remodeled generically multiple times over the past. century. The "continental breakfast" was fresh and plentiful and the area it was served on was very clean. Because it was "spring break " we paid $200/nite. There are multiple styles of accommodations i can only speak to the room we stayed in. We met other guests that are repeat guests. We are locals but don't have a garage. We were under a severe weather threat and needed a place to protect of vehicle. We were able to get 3/4 of our vehicle in the car port. read more

We enjoyed our stay here. It reminded me of a place your parents would take you as a kid. We had a whole cottage to ourselves which was connected to a laundry room. Spacious room with a fully functional kitchen and comfortable fluffy bed. We even had an outdoor patio. You can stay here comfortable and feel like home for weeks. Pool is in need for a new lining but still refreshing. Nice breakfast included. Happy to see they had walnut butter. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. This inn consists of several 2 story motel style buildings forming a U shaped courtyard with a grassy area in the middle. Located on the eastern edge of main street, easy few blocks walk to nearby shops and restaurants. We had a regular queen bed room on the second floor reached by a wooden staircase (no elevator), in the building at the end of the courtyard away from the road in front so relatively quiet. Chairs on the shared porch in front of rooms to sit on. Open air but covered parking sheds right next to the buildings. Room not big but comfortable with fridge (has a freezer section), microwave, a couple of ceramic cup which makes heating water for tea easy in the microwave. They also provide you with two bottles of drinking water and a bottle of wine complete with two wine glasses all complimentary, plus a 2 for one wine tasting voucher. Very good shower - strong and super hot (actually need to be careful not get scalded). Table and two chairs in room. Simple breakfast - tasty pound cakes, cookies etc, no hot food - included in the room rate, served at the office at the front - you have to bring it back to the room to eat as there is no seating there. There is a very small outdoor pool not big enough for any actual swimming. As such inns go, quite charming and reasonably priced. read more

Had an issue with the front desk clerk. I had asked to speak to the manager about an issue with my room. The clerk replied, she is not here she is out of town but she would be calling in soon. I asked please have her call me I need to speak to the mgr. This took place Saturday 10/11 and it's now Tuesday night and still no call. I actually went back in to the office couple hours after my first request and restated my need to speak to the mgr. The clerk didn't appear to care that needed to someone in charge. The reason for my request to speak to a person in charge was there was a gun in my room that was not mine and did not feel comfortable taking it to the front office or even handing over to anyone other than the mgr or the police. We'll the rude front desk clerk was suspicious about my concerns and she called the police to come to my room I gladly handed over the gun to them. However this pretty much let's me know that they did not do a very good job of checking/cleaning the room after the previous guest. Everyone else make your own judgment here i just check it off as a place to avoid and will tell others the same and share my experience. This whole review could have been much better had the clerk not been rude and the mgr just call guest as requested several times. I suggest checking out the fredricksburg inn and suites we've stayed there several times and enjoyed our stay nice folks. read more

Peachy Keen Not what I expected, but pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient. The continental breakfast includes a few gluten-free options. The pool was nice and well maintained. We stayed in room 27. There were 2 queen beds and a foldout sofa. Clean and well maintained. The water pressure was awesome in the shower. There was a complimentary bottle of moscato and bottled water when we arrived. The property was well maintained and had a vintage vibe that was nice. It was very easy to walk to Main Street and enjoy the shopping and dining. When you're there say hi to the 2 cats, Shadow and Callie, they run the place : ). Nice place on the outside. Our room was a standard king and quite small. A $200/night postal stamp. The door almost hits the bed when if it is opened all the way. Not really what was pictured. Very old so 2 multi plug extension cords power the room. No tv because the day before our arrival there was a storm. The office today told me on Saturday she didn't know what provider it was because she doesn't watch tv. She couldn't give a repair time, update or compensation for not having this ammenitu for the length of our stay. Really just an issue because it has been on and off raining. This place is kind of like whatever is below a Super 8 motel. Pretty clean but lipstick on a pig. The city itself is great...just find a different place to stay. read more

There are far better places to stay in Fredericksburg. The room walls are paper thin, rooms are cold, and after multiple attempts to fix it, the toilet ran all night- I finally got up around midnight and shut the water off to it. Maybe got 2 hours of sleep between the people talking outside my room, the toilet, and the heater coming on and shutting off. Now the biggest issue I have with this place- piss poor customer service. My mom would stay there regularly bc it is close to my grandma's assisted living place. My grandma recently fell and it is just a really sad situation so I called to see if I could pay a couple of nights of my mom's hotel room as a gift to her since she was going through a hard situation. Courtney hastily said the room had already been paid for and HUNG UP on me. I called back appalled and she did it again! I hope she gets fired immediately. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. My mom also said she was very rude to her and so she ended up moving to the Best Western. We will never go back. Edit after reading response: That is SO not true. Our conversation was tops 2 minutes and I did not raise my voice or cuss at all. That is absolutely ridiculous. This was absolutely one of the best we have stayed in. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The morning coffee, rolls, and other things were very appreciated. Exceeded our expectations, quiet an just a few blocks off of Main Street. As a converted motor court from a bygone era, the rooms were spacious, well equipped with Microwave a mini-fridge with parking right next to the room and upgraded bathrooms. On check-in they offered pie in the refrigerator in the lobby, the peach cobbler and pecan are a treat. They do offer a free continental breakfast with coffee, bagels/toast, and cereal which were more than adequate to get the day started. Being in town over the weekend, not having to fight the crowds and wait in line on Main Street for breakfast has its own special merits. My wife and I decided to have a middle of the week vacation. We made a reservation at a different hotel because we had rewards points to use, but then we read the Yelp reviews. After we found out they were less than two stars we cancelled, and then looked at the Yelp reviews again where we came across this place. This establishment is a little bit rustic but it is well-maintained and very clean. The room was spacious with laminate floors and most of all, the sheets were very clean. We've been to fancier hotels where the mattress and the pad were disgusting, but that is not the case here. However, the bed is a relatively soft Beautyrest mattress which was not very firm and we were told these mattresses are in every room. The only thing that was missing were hangers for the clothes. While we're on the topic of what's missing, the room could've used some dark curtains, a box of Kleenex and a chain lock on the door. However, they do have a soda machine and icemaker on site. They do have a decent clean pool but we were disappointed that the hot tub was cold. The location of this hotel is also very good in the fact that it is less than a quarter of a mile from Main Street. You can be inside of a Main street wine bar in less than 15 minutes by walking. Our Tuesday through Thursday stay with everything included was just under $300. They do have some nice breakfast items that they put out, but we just opted to drive just down the street to the Sunset Grill where we got an amazing breakfast. We enjoyed the quiet seclusion of this place and look forward to staying there again hopefully in the not too distant future. read more

This is a very charming place to stay and it's definitely not a chain hotel or motel. There's really nothing fancy about it which is ok. The room i stayed in was very neat and welcoming. They have real coffee mugs in the room with a small container of Folger's coffee. You have your standard room amenities such as a small fridge and microwave, and cable tv. The bathroom is cute and the shower has great water pressure. There's a free breakfast in the office that has cereal, coffee, juice, pastries, oatmeal and such. I'm definitely going back there. I felt like I was staying at my grandma's house. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a medium size fridge with freezer, a microwave and Folgers coffee. We even had our own carport right next to our room. The location is great. It's a 5 minute walk to Main St. HEB grocery store is nearby. The staff was very friendly. They provided a nice continental breakfast in the office. We had cereal, coffee, juice, toast and pastries. My friend and I did a 4 day Texas Hill Country trip. I have Diamond status with Hilton, Gold with Marriott, and Explorist with Hyatt. We stayed at a Hyatt Place in Austin, Hampton Inn in Kyle, Courtyard River Village in New Braunfels and then the Peach Tree Inn. The other hotels were fine but Peach Tree Inn was THE BEST! Book your stay in this charming little place instead of going with the chains! Our simple king bed room had all the normal amenities, but it also had a cute little kitchen area complete with a sink, glasses, plates, etc. The bathroom was great too, and had another rarity; awesome water pressure! That's such a simple joy to find when you're away from home. This location is perfect; you're only a couple blocks away from the main drag, but it's just far enough away that it's very quiet and you're not bothered by any noise coming from the main street. Be sure to check out the handmade products in the lobby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As another added bonus, there are several cats that wander the property, and if you're cat people like we were, they'll come in and snuggle with you if you leave your door open! read more

I will start off by saying my review is based on my bed and room. The staff is friendly and we had no issues there. We stayed in unit 21. We had a king bed and it was the worst mattress I have slept on in as long as I can remember. The pillows were completely flat, no support whatsoever. The AC/Heating unit is directly over the bed and if you turn it on the display gives off a fair amount of light. If you prefer total darkness you can't turn the unit on. It gives off more light than a nightlight. There is one window and it needs a curtain. It is directly across from the bed and the light just pours in. The motel is walking distance to Main Street. It was quiet but it was the worst night of sleeping for me. read more

We've stayed here twice, both times were very pleasant. It's just a few blocks to Main Street, the Nimitz Museum and nearly a mile of shops and restaurants in downtown Fredericksburg. The front part is more like a small motel, the back buildings are more like cabins along the creek. It's all modest but charming, like everything in Fredericksburg. The breakfast was mainly baked items and cereal with some fruit, but the pastries were all pretty good. We expect to stay here again. read more

This inn is perfect for a two night stay in Fredericksburg. My boyfriend and I stayed for a two night winter getaway during the month of January. It was comfortable and affordable. We paid $133 for two nights for a queen bed. Although we drove around because it was 20F cold, the restaurants, tasting rooms, and other shops in main street are within walking distance from this inn. I would say the location is perfect. However, the vineyards are 5-10 mins drive from the inn depending on which vineyard you are planning on going because they are on highway 290. Check-in was perfect. We arrived at around 11pm and we were thankful for the front office lady patiently waiting for us to arrive from Houston. The room was clean, cozy, and there were free wines so yayy and we drank it right away. My boyfriend and I are not tall people (our height is around 5' to 5'5) so we did not have a problem with the space in the room. This room might feel small for people who are 6 feet tall. The heater worked perfectly and that is what we really needed because it was 20F outside so we were glad about that. The water heater worked perfectly too so we were excited about that because some inns do not have a water heater that works well. The queen bed was not a posturepedic but it was enough and comfortable for us. There was a mini kitchen with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, some plates and glasses. My only issue was that they did not have a lot of outlets for charging our gadgets since it is an old establishment. But it didn't matter since we were there to relax and not spend all day on our gadgets. Overall, this is not a ritz hotel but it was comfortable, clean, and within our budget. I recommend this place to everyone and we will definitely stay here again on our next Fredericksburg getaway. read more
