As another visitor wrote, management is rude. They act like are doing you a favor by letting you eat there. If you are a group of people and one is still on the way, for example, they will not allow you to sit until everyone is there (even if they are not busy). That is foolish since they could potentially make a few extra dollars on some additional appetizers or drinks. Also, because the place is somewhat small, there is not much room to stand if they make you wait to sit. So you could end up waiting outside on the sidewalk- no matter the weather. Food is hit and miss. Sometimes hot sometimes not. Service is often slow. This place has potential but management needs to make customers feel welcomed vs just an annoyance they have to deal with. read more

At first glance, the pitiful portion of home fries looks lonely and sad on the plate. When you can easily count the number of potato pieces on your plate, it is obvious that Peaches portion control is based simply on maximizing profit and not on customer satisfaction. The meal was swimming in hollandaise sauce (which was tasteful) in a sad attempt to distract the customer from the reality of an underwhelming and overpriced dish. $3.95 for standard cup of coffee. Crispy chorizo and chickpea Hash? Didn't find any unless we are talking about a half teaspoon sized paste (not hash as we know it here on earth) of something (no taste at all) hidden under the poached eggs. Staff were pleasant. I love this place. The food is always great, the waitstaff is friendly & prompt, and the cafe itself adorable. We have come here for breakfast, brunch and lunch numerous times. They have so many items to choose from on the menu that anyone could find something. This last time I went they sat us in the back room which I had no idea was back there, the place is bigger than it looks. I have ordered the French toast, strawberry & cream waffle, a grilled cheese, and iced coffee in the past.The last time I came here I ordered the corn nuggets which was the first time I ever had those, they were so good and served with dip of sour cream/ salsa. (I snapped a picture just before we devoured them all) I also ordered the roasted turkey BLT wrap which was delicious! My mom said her blueberry waffles were amazing! We grabbed a couple of brownies on our way out at the bakery case because we couldn't resist. I got the classic brownie and my mom got a gluten free one. They were both delicious. The service was spot on, efficient, friendly, and not intrusive. The food on the other hand, needs some work. Went for breakfast and you can tell, in the spirit of speed and efficiency the, paper-thin and low quality, bacon was cooked in batches hours before opening for service. The bacon wasn't even warm when it hit the table. They probably peeled four strips off the pile and kept it moving. We all know bacon that's been sitting out for awhile... ain't that great especially if it's not thick-cut. The same for the home fires which are probably prepped hours before and sit under a heat lamp. These two food item can be blanched cooked, (I don't mean boiling bacon and potatoes) precooked by say 40% prior to service, and then cooked fully once ordered to give a semblance of being freshly prepared. This is not a big ask. I'll give the place one more try as I like the atmosphere. Put please take note. read more

I visited peaches today to have lunch. upon being greeted I asked for a the waest table in the restauran, the manager accommodated us but it was right by the ladies room door, which in my opinion no table should be right opposite the door within 5 feet, with bathroom odors seeping out every time the door opens, now we ordered beverages and the coffee arrived with no cream or spoon, the we ordered soup and sandwiches. our soup arrived after sometime, because they were waiting for clean dishes. soup is not in house made but good, we ordered grilled cheese and tomato sandwiche, which took forever, mine came and it wasn't grilled bread but toasted and there was no tomato, the server brought it back and had tomato added. when I took my first bite the was next to no cheese, when the manger finally came over I showed him the sandwich, he asked if I wanted another I said no because it took so long, he gave me attitude and said sorry, when I asked him if it looked like grilled. cheese, he said well there is bread and cheese yes. I said if that looked like grilled cheese to him I didn't agree and pointed out the other one at our table. he just said sorry and walked away with cavalier attitude. no genuine remorse, be a long time before I agree to go there again. server was nice. wish I got photos before they took it away. read more

I have been to peaches many times even during my college years. Service was great as always however the price and amount of food you get is no long justifiable. Attached is my picture. I grabbed my friend's pickel. so please disregard and the hot sauce. The amount of potatoes was sad. Doesn't even seem like a full potato. Furthermore my spinach and cheese for the omelette wasn't even in the omelette itself, seems like they just placed inside and tried to warm it up. Sad quality for the price. Prices for a salad even on special is like $15. I love peaches but prices are getting out of hand. Especially for the small portion you get. I dont mind paying more but i expect quality. I really enjoyed brunch here. This was an unexpected stop and I'm glad I went. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent and I can't wait to try the grapefruit! Iced chai latte was great and my friend couldn't stop talking about it. I got a California omelette and loved it! Big avocado pieces in it and I got onions instead of roasted red peppers. It wasn't super cheesy but still delicious. My omelette came with toast and potatoes and the potatoes were crispy and the perfect amount! Peaches is a popular cafe in Stuyvesant plaza. They have great brunch and lunch menus as well as a fun variety of cocktails and espresso drinks. They offered quick service with plenty of seating at lunchtime on a weekday, although I've heard they can get pretty busy on the weekend. People have been telling me not to come here for years but I finally decided to form my own opinion and went for breakfast l. I came with 3 friends on a weekday morning and was really pleasantly surprised as the whole experience. Other people on yelp have asserted that this place is essentially a diner and I don't disagree. However, being a diner doesn't equate to having bad food. Some of the best breakfasts I've ever had have been in diners. Anyway, I had corned beef hash with home fries, toast and a mimosa. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and was a little foamy but it was freaking delicious. The corned beef hash was definitely home made with big chunks of corned beef. The only thing that was weird was that you had to ask for peppers and onion to be added to the hash... like yea bish, I want dat. Obvi.... There was also a couple of expertly cooked, over-easy egg on top. I also had an English muffin that I think was homemade and was really good. The home fries really sucked, though. They were undercooked, under seasoned and cold. Service was pretty good and the restaurant feels really cozy. They also had some dank looking homemade desserts that I'd like to try. Would definitely love to love this place! But $7.75 for what I thought was fresh squeezed OJ might have been sitting around for a bit! (Never seen the price) and the wife had a latte which she liked. The wife ate only a quarter of her quiche and the home fries were well seasoned but probably par boiled and thrown in a fryalator but seasoned well! Okay so this gets a little complicated so stay with me here. Four stars is definitely for the desserts and some of the amazing soups! The lemon berry cake is unbelievable. I couldn't eat a piece in a sitting but give me the day and it will be gone! I loved the southwestern corn chowder. The best part was there were two soups to choose from and the waitress gave me samples of each so I could make a decision. It's more like three stars when it comes to the quiche and the omelettes, I find them to be more average. Also, the tables are quite close to each other so you can feel a bit cramped. My daughter went to Peaches Restaurant with two of her friends to talk and relax. While there, they ordered drinks. Just to name a few mimosas, iced tea, hot chocolate, and lemonade. The server brought several drinks over on a tray, handed two drinks to her friends and then dumped the rest of the drink (8 or 9) by accident all over my daughter's lap. She was soaked and sticky. She did not go all Karen on the waitress. She asked for something to wipe the stuff off of her and laughed it off. The staff handed her a couple towels, both wet and dry, while they brought paper towels to soak up the drinks on the floor. Then another server was tending to that table, not sure if the previous server got nervous waiting on that table not because of the drink incident. When my daughter was done with lunch the server took her hot chocolate $3.00 +-off the bill, not her meal, mimosa, or the tea that she had. My daughter said when they checked out this girl rushed to grab the credit card from her and her friends. She had to go buy a pair pants because she was soaked to go about her day. So we are having Father Day today and my daughter is telling me about this. It was just unbelievable. I asked my daughter if she minded if I call the restaurant, she said no I don't mind but this happened Wednesday so it is not likely that they will do anything about it. I said you may be right. So I called Peaches Restaurant and asked to speak to a Manager or Owner. The lady that answered the phone said they have all gone for the day. So I asked for one of their names and she said she saw someone. About 45 seconds later Kevin gets on the phone and I asked his title he said he was the owner. So I explained the situation to him and he said it was an accident. I don't see anything else to do about it. No compensation, he said they should have taken her meal off. He would look at the video and speak to people about this. I said this may help you but how does this compensate my daughter, since she was sticky and had to go about her day and buy replacement clothes. I was even more surprised by this. So my daughter was sticky and to say the least embarrassed and all you can say is it was an accident! The only thing she was not charged for was $3 hot chocolate. That's just unbelievable! I was not expecting this. It looked like the typical strip mall food joint, but when you go in it's a whole new world filled with unexpected delights. The front case delights the senses with views of cakes and other delights. The menu is filled with food that makes your belly rumble. I'd love to try something savory next time. read more

Peaches is nothing like it used to be. The prices are much higher, while the quality has diminished. Small plates of food fir higher prices. At least they let patrons use the rest room and sit inside $3.25 fir one cup of coffee, ordinary coffee pot coffee is far to much money. One waffle is $7.95 I guess if we don't like the prices we shouldn't go their. Thinking our relationship with this business that we used to live is over. Seating is pretty tight in narrow/oddly-shaped rooms it seems like. Nothing that bothers me, but I would concur with other reviewers on this aspect. Went there on a weekday for brunch. It is a small but cheerful place with friendly staff, quick service. The food was perfectly fine. But the coffee was terrible, and the bathroom was awful. The stall door wouldn't shut, leaving a wide gap. My glasses fogged up when I went in there, which caused me to look up and see that the air vent cover was hanging loose from the ceiling and covered in grime and dirt. Went to Peaches today for lunch with my daughter. We had been told it was a great place for good food. What a disappointment. I had just gotten out of a doctors appointment and we were very hungry. When we got our food the pancakes were burnt and cold the potatoes were cold, my daughter eggs looked like they were sitting in a hotel pan all morning and were cold ,both her bacon and mine must have been also warmed up twice and when I ordered orange juice I was told by the waitress was freshly squeezed it was like warm. Wow, reading through these reviews, Peaches certainly gets some very hard to please customers! In a city where restaurants change faster than you change your underwear, the fact Peaches is still here is huge. I grew up here, moved away for about 15 years, came back, and voila...Peaches was still here! I started coming in here solo last year to grade papers and have a mimosa in the morning. I started coming back every week or two because they were cool with me coming in solo to grade or study, and didn't treat me like a weirdo for being alone. The waitress literally remembers my order even after weeks offered not being here, which is nuts because this place has a lot of regulars. I always get the Southwest Frittata with a side of bacon and it's my favorite treat of my week/month. Delicious everything and fresh and the bacon is amazing. The mimosas are awesome. Sure, it's a little on the pricey side but if you're not ok with that, go find a Dennys, get your Moons Over My Hammy and stop criticizing a local establishment with quality food and service. read more

Passable. Went here with some colleagues for a late breakfast as it was convenient to work. It's in a large, upscale, strip mall. The restaurant is compact and crowded but bright and cheery and appears very clean. There are a wide variety of breakfast items. The service was immediate, the food was delivered quickly, and the server kept checking up on us in an unobtrusive way. The food was okay; passable. I had an omelet and I get that turning them over quickly with high volume is a challenge, but it was a pretty dry (in other words, overcooked) omelet. My colleagues' food looked okay, but what I noted was that while two of them were men, neither finished their breakfast -- and it wasn't because they aren't hearty eaters. As many other reviews here noted, the coffee is weak and extremely disappointing. Definitely quick, friendly, and attentive service. The food was adequate. If you are looking for a quick breakfast and are okay with not being wowed, this will suffice. read more
