I placed an emergency call last night around 11 p.m. (since they advertise 24/7 service) when my condo unit's AC was leaking (in my unit and into the unit below, and the tenant below said he couldn't sleep until the leak was fixed). They told me that the technician was on another call, and I'd be next. The next morning I realized that he never showed (or called) so I called to check and they told me that he must have decided it was too late and just "held the ticket". She told me she would just page him, then later called and told me he never responded to the page and I'd have to wait until the office opened. When it opened, someone called me and apologized for my ticket being ignored the previous evening, and told me they'd send someone out between 9 and 11. read more

I have used PE for years, unfortunately. They have replaced both air conditioners;both have failed right out of warranty. Their service call, 85.00,was not deducted from the bill, as they said they would do. They failed to order a part for a compressor for a week, making it two weeks before they replaced it. They tried to sell me a new system, regardless of the fact that only the compressor was bad, and was under warranty, which they also failed to mention. Bad News Bears! read more

Totally tried to sell me a new furnace when not needed. Did not fix furnace , told me something needed to be replaced when it didn't, and quoted much higher prices for replacing entire furnace. Repairman said previous repairman had rigged some wires bc a switch wasn't working (why the switch wasn't replaced at that time remains a mystery). He looked at his records and realized HIS company had been here Feb. 2015 and must have rigged it. He conveniently said that repairman wasn't with the company. Told me unsafe to repair the wires, and in addition the draft inducer was working sporadically (bc I had seen it working while he was down there) and would have to be replaced for $600 - $800 but best thing to replace entire furnace. His salesman showed up unexpectedly, and hard sell on $3100 to $6500 system. I said I'd discuss with husband, they left, and left everything "as is" - did not replace panel, did not replace "rigged wire", etc. Called American Energy and Heating (Decatur) and repairman said needed new switch, and he temporarily repaired it until switch could come in. Suggested I consider new furnace down the line. I asked HIM how much it would be and he said $1800-$2500 for similar system. read more

The only way for to get any sort of response from them was writing this review. A local employee at their office told me that they cancel on multiple appointments a day because they are understaffed, and take more contracts than they can service. The manager processed a refund for my service contract, but my understanding from the employee I spoke with is that my story should not be surprising to anyone in their customer service department. read more

This was one of the WORST experiences I have ever had with a company. There is obviously NO communication in that company and their technicians never showed up in the 2 hour time slot, never called and got "confused" using military time?! When I called to cancel my service because there was no service they said "ok" and hung up. They obviously didn't care that this had been a bad experience and that they were losing a customer. I've been with Peachtree Service Experts (under one name or another) for most of the past 19 years and have always enjoyed good service except for one "rogue technician" that was combative/defensive and argumentative with my wife. That was promptly dealt with by management and of course that technician has never been dispatched to our home again. Otherwise, the service has always been very timely and the technicians have been very professional. The front office staff is also very friendly, professional, and helpful. We ended up buying new units from them and probably paid too much, but felt comfortable because of the good service we always receive. read more

Service Experts is awful. It's a marketing company that pushes leads to independent contractors, with little or no quality control. Our house was a sauna for three days while they kept breaking appointments. They missed the first time slot in mid-morning, and I couldn't wait around all day; I had to go to work. The dispatcher told us that they make appointments 24 hours a day, so we scheduled for 11PM. Then, at 6PM we got a call from the technician, who was on his way. We weren't home, and he refused to come out at the scheduled time, saying that the company DOESN'T do 24 hour service. We talked to the dispatcher again, who couldn't sort out an appointment for 11, instead asking me to call them back at 11 and make an appointment for the following day. The whole experience was a confused mess, and I'm frustrated that they wasted our time when we could have instead gone to a decent, reputable business and gotten the job done. I can't speak to the proficiency of their contractors, but the organization and professionalism of this company is about as bad as I've ever experienced. read more

02-24-2012 Wow! I thought old fashion service was a thing of the past. I'm a 75 yr old widow and retired educator from the Griffin-/Spalding County School System. I had a problem with my Amana heating/cooling unit yesterday. I called for help in solving my problem and just as I was told two Technicians arrived promptly this morning. Even though it was raining heavily and we were under a storm/tornado watch; they were still right on time. If I owned a business of my own I definitely would want to employ both Technicians; Mr. Darrell Akers and Mr. Brandon Lance. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable on how to fix my problem. They were professional in every sense of the word. It is consoling to know that people such as these young men still exist in America today. I salute you as a company and these two Technicians. They charge $99 to show up which one would anticipate would cover a some amount of labor. I had the furnace taken apart so the tech only had to install a hot surface igniter which can be purchased online for $30. So, 15 minutes of labor and a $30 part resulted in a $350 bill. Have used Peachtree Service Experts exclusively since the hot afternoon years ago they rescued my home from a miswired, heat-spewing thermostat installed by another company. They came right over on that day and have been providing good customer service and quality work ever since. We have a service contract, which I find helpful. They stay on top of maintenance needs and schedules. The techs arrive on time, are courteous, and skilled. It's easy to schedule appointments; I appreciate the reminder calls, as well as calls that technician is on the way. read more

Rip off and Liers! If I could rate this company as zero stars then I would give it 0/5 stars. First of all, it took 4 weeks for me to get serviced even after making 4 appointments in a row for a routine service check. The technician never called or showed while I spent hours waiting for these people. When I called the office, they told me the technician was running behind and would be another several hours before he got to me. Furthermore, they told me that people who have the service agreements are priority (even though I had an appointment) and they tried to sell me a service plan ($230) which I refused! After 4 weeks of no shows, I should have trusted my gut instinct and called another company but I decided to stick with this one because they have weekend hours. However, things got even worse when the technician finally came. The first thing he did was to try to sell me the service plan which I refused. Then, he checked my A/C unit which was working fine until he serviced the outdoor unit and I suddenly noticed the temperature in my house was becoming very warm. When he came back in, he told me that my unit was over 20 years old and was not working and needs to be replaced immediately (which would cost thousands of $$). I told him that the unit was working fine until he serviced the outdoor unit. He became defensive and refused to correct the problem. Now, i am VERY upset and looking into taking legal action against these people because now family and I are suffering in a house with no working A/C in 90-100 degree weather as a result of dealing with this company! One word: Horrible. I am a realtor and an out of town client/friend needed her Atlanta home units (2) serviced so I agreed to wait at the property for Peachtree Service Experts on Monday for her. Meanwhile, I liked that they had the 69.00 tune up rate. So I scheduled my own home to be serviced on Tuesday for three units I also scheduled an investment property for an additional unit. Regarding my friend's property, I made sure to give them the homeowner's name and phone number and that they are the primary contact. They did speak with the homeowner to confirm this. They said that they understood, no problem. Peachtree said that they would call me when the tech was 20 minutes out so that I can meet him. They called at 12:49 and said that I should be there by 1:45. By 2:10 the tech still wasn't there. I called (for the third time that day). They said he went to lunch and had a long drive over and would be an additional 40 minutes. Of course, I was ticked because this was a waste of my valuable time. The tech finally arrived and started the service while I waited in the car. It took him 2 hours to come back to tell me that there would be repairs of $2375 for two capacitors, blowers cleaned, air duct cleaning and filters (he had these down as $64.00 but they changed it to free). And he hadn't even looked at the outside unit as yet. He also said that these things MUST be done before he could look at the outside unit. I asked if he couldn't finish the tune up without these things and he said no, he would get false readings. Now, I'm in sales and upsell is a part of the business but I've never heard of strong arm tactics like this. The whole time he was on the phone with someone that he called his boss who was giving him direction. I got my client on the phone to hear this and she said absolutely not. When she said no, and that she would get other quotes on these things, he decided that he could actually finish the tune up and look at the outside unit. By the time he finished, he came back to me and told me that he needed a check from me. I told him that the homeowner would be paying them via credit card at which point he panicked and called dispatch. Dispatch was very rude and told me that I had to pay the tech before he left. I told her, please check your notes. I am not the homeowner and not the primary contact. The homeowner was awaiting their call to make payment by phone. Dispatch said she would call them - Of course, she was rude to them as well and they told her that they would like to speak with someone else and she may have hung up on them. She then called the tech to tell them that he can leave and don't bother to go to my investment property and to say nothing to me. When I saw him leaving I flagged him down to see where he was going (honestly, I just didn't want to deal with Peachtree any further anyway). He kept saying that he was just a tech and he was told to leave and say nothing so that's what he did. I said "but, you're sitting right next to me after I've waited here for you all day and you don't have the common courtesy to say I'm leaving"? Of course, I called to cancel all 4 of my unit tuneups and I then called the 3 clients that I had told about their 69.00 tune up to tell them don't bother. It's more of a headache than it's worth - their behavior is certainly going to cost them. When I called in I spoke to a very nice young lady who was quite surprised by my experience with them. She has said that she will pass this on to the manager which I'm sure happens a lot. My feeling is that all the reviews that I'm seeing on Yelp is for a reason - this is the climate of this company and I wouldn't use them again if the service was free. read more

Customer number 263-00112. Still frustrating to deal with. Had routine service Nov. 20, 2014. Jan 14, 2015 got an email saying it was time for our prepaid service so I called to schedule. Turns out, the Nov. 2014 service was the prepaid service. The gal wanted to give me " the excuse" of why this happened. ( I got "the excuse" of database not being integrated with the notification system 5/23/2013). Next day, 1-15-2015, I got a robo call telling me to call for my service. I called the number and asked not to be on the robo call list. Guess what? The fellow wanted to give me "the excuse" of why he probably couldn't take me off the robo phone call list. If Peachtree Service Experts (now Service Experts) was "working on the problem" of centralizing the customer records with the email notification vendor and phone notification vendor back in May 2013 and it's still happening in Jan. 2015, corporate is ignoring this integration problem. However, they are well versed in "the excuse"! read more

A few summers back, I saw Peachtree Service Experts' (PSE) listing in the annual Home Reports and called them to come and fix our AC. They sent a tech to fix it and charged us $344. The AC was broken again 1 week later so the same guy came again and said now something else is broken and we'd have to shell out another $300-$400. I had serious doubts about this guy's work, so I sent him home and called a local AC repair man who took a quick look and said the previous guy installed the wrong capacitor which in turn caused the fan to blow up. So he installed a new capacitor and a new fan all for $280. I called PSE to get at least a partial refund for the lousy job that ended up costing me more than what I would have paid had it done right the first time. I left multiple messages for the supervisor for 1 and 1/2 months but he never got back to me. I eventually got to talk to another supervisor who told me to get a detailed invoice from the other AC guy . So I went through all the trouble calling the AC guy to produce the detailed receipt, which he had to draft and mailed to me. I then faxed it to PSE but never heard from them again, despite my multiple calls and voice messages. They just simply ignored all my messages. But they remembered to keep sending me mailings soliciting my patronage several times a year. My blood boiled every time I saw their junk mail. I have never went on-line to write a review about a service before, but seeing their advertisement again the other day was the last straw. I have since informed Home Reports about the horrendous service these so-called "experts" had provided me. This company is the worst service company I have ever worked with. They do not stand behind their work, nor give a damn about customer satisfaction. I have now learned to just call the AC repair guy, who will only charge me a fraction of PSE's price but clearly does a superior job. My AC worked for another 4 years since the handyman's fix before it needed his expertise again last August. read more

10 years ago the old Peachtree Trane and Peachtree Service Experts were 5 star; great; always rated highly and did outstanding work! Today this company is owned by Lennox. You want a new system it is a Lennox. The reason everything is based out of Dallas is that is the headquarters of Lennox. What used to be an outstanding service company with outstanding long term employees and competitive pricing is no longer. Service is still good...get a different technician every time, so no continuity any longer with me, my HVAC systems or my longevity as a customer. This has become a store front for Lennox to push thier product at rather high margins. I bought a new system about 2-3 years ago and again, installation was outstanding, but after seeing the old furnace that was pulled out; it didn't need replacing, it was only the consensing unit that really needed replacing....shame on me for buying the sales talk and overspending. I too give Peachtree Heating and Air Conditioning a one star rating because they did come out close to the promised time and the tech was pleasant to work with (Scott). One unit would not cool to the desired setting but would cool. I check and replace the filters often and told the tech that information. The tech checked both filters on the air handlers but nothing else. The problem is with the charge to add refrigerant to the system. Two systems needed a total of 9 pounds of 410A. That cost was $432.00. But they also charged $268.00 for "Balance By Superheat/Subcooling 410. So essentially they charged me to hook up their gauges to the service ports while adding the refrigerant which they need to do to check for proper cooling when adding the refrigerant. I was also charged $99.00 for Diagnostic 2nd system. What could be diagnosed by looking at a filter? I can understand the $99.00 service call and the charge for the 410A but not the other charges. I have had other companies service this and other air conditioning units in the past that all needed refrigerant to be added and was never charged a Balance By Superheat/Subcooling charge. Ask for an estimate of all charges before agreeing to anything. Better yet, call someone else. read more

Unfortunately, their customer care is now a thing of the past. I've been a customer for probably 20 years. In the last year or so, I understand the company merged or was sold. My normal servicing this month: (1) First scheduled date: I receive a call that with so many outages, they have to reschedule. OK. (2) Rescheduled date, no one shows. I call. Sorry, the notes say we were supposed to be there today but the ticket was dated wrong. (3) Third date. Near the end of the scheduled time window, a call. We're too busy and need to reschedule. I ask to speak to a supervisor. They're at lunch. Someone will call me back. No one does. (4) Fourth date. Service person shows up. Servicing goes fine. I need a new AC filter but he doesn't have one on the truck even though its a standard filter. Will be back next week. (5) On appointed day at end of time window, a call that the service tech has a family emergency. Won't make it. Can we reschedule. I ask why they waited three hours to call me or couldn't have sent someone else. No good answer. I ask to speak to a supervisor and explain why. Supervisor is in a meeting. She will call back. I hang up and redial. Finally get a supervisor on the phone, Kim, first helpful person yet. She manages to get someone out with the correct filter two hours later - no charge. Five service dates for something that should have been done the first time. My service agreement is up for renewal next month. Sorry to say its time to find a more responsive company. read more
