An avid Indian food person, this is the first Indian restaurant I've been to in south Jersey…read more The 2 dishes I tried were North Indian staples, popular in American Indian restaurants. I started with an order of tandoori tikka paneer, which are cubes of Indian cottage cheese, marinated in a yogurt and spices, and cooked in a clay oven. Even though this type of cheese is on the dry side, the marinate sauce accompaniment made for a delicious start to my meal. For my entree I had lamb sagwala, my favorite dish. Lamb sagwala were tender chunks of lamb, marinated in yogurt and Indian spices, then sautéed in a cream spinach sauce. The thing I like about the Indian restaurants I visit are usually hands on, family run. The young Indian lady who attended to me was very courteous and helpful, always smiling. The dining room was a handsome, quiet room, low Indian music playing, adding to the experience. There is booth like seating that runs the entire length of the room, with tables and chairs facing them. The tables can be set together for larger groups. The restaurant is also byob. Krish's Indian bistro is located in Washington township, on Hurffville-Cross Keys road in a small strip center located directly across from Jefferson hospital parking lot. Found my go to quiet little gem to satiate my Indian food cravings.

Everything was delicious and we were super shocked by the tandoori chicken that was sizzling when it came out, like a fajita platter! The service was fast and attentive and the restaurant had tasteful decor that added to the lovely ambiance of the place. It was a really pleasant surprise to find this place in south jersey and my mother in law raved about it to everyone afterwards so I'm sure she will come back soon!

Small place more suited for take-out, but a dozen or so cafeteria-style tables to dine in. They had set up a nice table for us with a tablecloth runner ... but were nice enough to move us to a much larger one by pushing 2 tables together when we asked and even went out to buy a wine bottle opener that we needed. Everyone really enjoyed their meals including the Chicken Vindaloo, Goat Saagwala, Egg Dosa, Chicken Saagwala ... along with the Chicken Curry and Baigen Bharta (eggplant) that DH and I shared. All entrees could also be made to be as spicy as you wanted and we found the medium to be just the right amount of heat while still being able to taste our food. The garlic/butter naan came out warm with 4 pieces each that were a perfect accompaniment. Definitely a good find ... despite now having to pay to park on the streets of Glassboro (more a hassle than costly at only $1-2). We'll be back soon and maybe try takeout next time!

From the moment we walked in, the restaurant's warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. We ordered quite a spread -- Chicken Corn Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Triple Schezuan, Chili Shrimp, Amrit Sari Fish, Steamed Chicken Momos, and the Mixed Grill. Every single dish was beautifully presented, well-prepared, and bursting with flavor. You could truly taste the freshness and care in each bite, making it clear that the chefs cook with passion and attention to detail. The service was attentive, the ambiance comfortable, and the food outstanding -- all combining to create a memorable family dining experience. On a day centered around love, Sankalp served its food with just that -- love and authenticity. We give Sankalp a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's definitely worth the trip, and we're already looking forward to coming back soon!

The food is excellent across the board, but a few dishes truly stand out. Their Pani Puri Bomb! is a must-order--bright, punchy, and perfectly balanced, with a burst of flavor that lives up to the name. The Punjabi samosa is everything you want it to be: crisp, well-seasoned, and generously filled. For mains, the kitchen really shines. The lamb rogan josh and vindaloo are deeply flavorful and expertly spiced, with tender meat and rich, layered sauces. On the milder side, the chicken korma and butter chicken are beautifully done--creamy without being heavy, aromatic, and incredibly comforting. Pair any of these with the Kashmiri naan, which is soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce. Their signature chicken dum biryani deserves special praise: fragrant basmati rice, well-marinated chicken, and balanced spices all brought together with care and precision. It's hearty, satisfying, and clearly made with attention to detail. Service is friendly, welcoming, and efficient, which makes the experience even better. Whether you're dining in or taking out, Jalsa Indian Kitchen delivers both quality and consistency. Highly recommended for anyone craving excellent Indian food done right.
