It's definitely a locals pub, seems like everyone knew each other, which was nice. Service left a lot to be desired. It said all day happy hour on Sundays but we weren't given a happy hour menu, just the regular menu. The prices were very reasonable, and I 1000% recommend the Baron O Beef sandwich every Saturday, which involves making your own beef sub, for an amazing deal. We had a good dinner with our family in the family room and our server Ashely was excellent. However, the night ended on a bad note with one of the waitresses (short blonde hair with shaved sides glasses and tattoos) when she took it upon herself to raise her voice and place her hands on our 3 year old granddaughter who was circling our table playing with her uncle. It was harmless and the other patrons were smiling and laughing. This woman was abrupt and scary. The table next to us said they were there the week before and the same lady yelled at their child who wasn't doing anything wrong. On my most recent trip to the Okanagan this past week, I had heard great things about the Peacock's Perch and decided to check them out. I can see why the place is popular. You could tell the food was homemade. It was so tasty and the portions are very generous. I had the Cesar salad with chicken and it filled me up nicely. It also came with garlic bread. The place was full of customers and yet it was easy to have a conversation at your table without the need to raise your voice. It was a relaxing meal. They have a very nice variety of options on their menu - there is literally something for everyone. Everyone at my table was happy with what they ordered. Our server was friendly and attentive. They take all forms of payment and have plenty of customer parking. I can't wait to return and sit out on their patio. The washrooms were clean and updated. read more

Great Pub food. The service was very quick and friendly. We order appetizers and they arrived almost before we could get settled in. The Wings are fabulous as well as the Deep Fried Pickles. * Standard pubfare * This is a large pub with multiple rooms and an outdoor patio as well, and it was packed. Very popular clearly. It was wings night ($.30/wing) so got to sample those. The wings themselves were a bit overfried to the point of being too crunchy and not very meaty. One of our favourite places to go! The service is really great and fast. The local crowd is friendly and while it's sometimes hard to find a place to sit, it's never a huge inconvenience. They also have awesome specials and good tap beers. The Yorkshire is to die for!! read more

We came here after our roller derby bout. We were famished! We ordered wings and nachos, large size of course! Our order came to our table in less than 10 minutes, super fast! The hot wings were big and juicy, cooked to perfection. Nachos were enormous, with large portion of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole (extra charge but so worth it!). This is the only pub in town, it's mediocre. My friend ordered an Old Fashioned and it came out in a brandy snifter and had a maraschino cherry in it. Service was okay, but rather slow. Food was brought to our table before the cutlery was which was sad to sit in front of our food before being able to eat it. The Chef's salad did not come with enough dressing for my personal taste. I've been going to the perch since I used to wait in the truck for my parents. I've lived in summerland my whole life and I've never written a review in my life. The service tonight was so bad that I just couldn't help myself. God bless everyone working during these scary times but no excuse for poor, rude service. My food was the worst I've ever had there. Basically a bacon fat sandwich.....uncooked Bacon, Caesar cut Romaine lettuce And Roma tomato we waited 10 min to even be served our bill was almost 100$ and could have been upwards of 150$160$ if our drinks and food that we wanted to order would have been taken. Checked the table beside us twice and didn't even look over to see us making eye contact. I've been a local Summerlander for 12 years and had never gone to Peacock's Perch. Had some company in from out of town and it was late, so we decided to check it out. There was no signage regarding if we were to seat ourselves or not, so we stood in the lobby for ages while servers passed by and ignored us. Finally we flagged down a server and we were told to sit "wherever we liked." Excellent. We found a free table that happened to be in the bar area (had it been in any other area, this whole fiasco wouldn't have been an issue, but read on). Before we even ordered, our server asked for ID - none of us have ever experienced this before in a restaurant, bar, or pub UNLESS we had ordered alcohol (and even then, we were all well over legal drinking age and more often than not no longer need to produce ID). Both friends produced photo ID, I recently had to update my drivers license so I had ICBC issued temporary papers. These were denied (keeping in mind, we had not ordered alcohol, and had no intention of ordering alcohol). We were told we could move to the family section of the restaurant or the outdoor patio, but could not sit at the bar. Again, we had not ordered alcohol - we hadn't even been given a menu and had we been attended to properly, we would likely be sitting in the family area or outside where ordering food from a menu should be a basic non-issue. The BC Liquor bylaws detail that you must "ensure minors are not served liquor" and under this statement institutions are required to deny service to customers unable to produce proper ID. Again, we had not ordered liquor. We asked to sit in the family section, but then were told it was getting full, so we agreed to sit outside. Once we had a chance to look at the menu, our server came out again and informed us that we actually could not even stay here and were required to leave the premises entirely. Average pub food with good serving sizes. Nice patio, but REALLY unfortunate service: we advised of a serious carrot allergy, but were served carrots in a salad. When we alerted our server, she brought the same salad back with the carrots picked out. When she finally brought a salad made with no carrots, we couldn't trust the food as our table of 4 was also served a wrong drink, a wrong side, and onions in an entree when we asked for none. We dropped in on Monday while out for a drive, and had not heard of the place. It was casual, clean and upbeat with a really nice 'regular' and new clientele present. Lots of people dropping in all through lunchtime and every plate going by looked as fantastic as the one we ordered. The food is great but the music is country twang. So if you don't like twang or rude bartenters stay away on Sundays.

After hearing positive reviews and going out of our way after speaking with the restaurant, we arrived at 5pm and were told that our 5month old was only welcome to be with us but could only be seated on the patio (which of course had no room, aside from the 20 open seats in the dining room). Families are not allowed in the dining room as per some ludicrous restaurant/liquor rule. The bartender was arrogant and very unhelpful and lied about our phone conversation. I would not recommend this place for any families and perhaps that is the clientele they are targeting. read more

I often eat here when in the Okanagan- in fact I'll sometimes drive here from another town just because the food is really high quality. I've eaten here about 6 times and every time it's been excellent, a couple of steps above usual pub offerings. Great value also with big portions. Ribs are amazing. Rueben was perfect. I haven't really tried the snack-type items like wings, but for burgers, sandwiches, and entrees it's been great. For pubs, this gets my 5 stars! read more
