A beautiful selection of clothes and rentals unfortunately teamed with a not so helpful staff and 'wicked' high prices. I did fall in love with a beautiful set of clothes (dining room over and underlay and then coordinating cocktail tables) but the sales person was SO unhelpful and the quote was SO high we went elsewhere. I also have to say we didn't go to the big showroom in Stoughton but to the satellite office in Providence. Late afternoons the office gets unbearably hot! Be warned!! read more

I had a pretty decent experience with Rentals Unlimited. After being given the run around by another lounge furniture rental company, I went to the American Furniture Rental warehouse in Boston. Although there is a lot of tacky stuff, we ended up finding day beds and side tables that we wanted to use for our wedding. We were then informed that the New England distributor of AFR is Rentals Unlimited. Great-- it felt like a scam and I hadn't even given them my CC info yet. I was put in contact with a very nice and responsive coordinator at Rentals Unlimited, where I realized the prices were slightly different than I was quoted but still better than the other companies I had visited. However, about halfway through the planning I realized there were a few cute little things I wanted to add, and I actually looked at the Rentals Unlimited website. I emailed my contact person to a bunch of merchandise, and she basically said I'd have to pay two delivery fees plus some other fees because it's a totally different warehouse and would be treated as a new order. We ended up getting everything we needed from someone else, but this is a really strange way to run a business. Regardless, the couches looked great at our wedding. Everything got delivered with no problems and they set up everything to our specifications. The follow through is where it could have really fallen short, but I was pleasantly surprised. read more

Rented all linens from here for my Sept 2015 at The Dorrance in Providence, RI. They had a great selection, and the sales people were very helpful. Leading up to the big day, I had to call several times to change the quantities and I always got someone on the phone, and they were happy to help. The rentals aren't cheap, but upgrading your linens really do make a difference on the look of your room. Worth it, in my opinion. No issues with delivery or pick up, that I know of. read more

Personally, I had a perfect experience with these folks. I needed to find a place that had everything I wanted under one roof - farm tables, mason jars, unique linen, in addition to the basics like banquets and Chivari chairs. They had almost everything I needed. I was really in a funk the day I went into the showroom but that all changed when I met Kayla. Kayla is very young but extremely on top of stuff. She provided better customer service that the vast majority of people I've worked with in my life - VERY mature for her age. Something about the way she dealt with me cheered me up. Or maybe it was because she was so excited about my wedding, more that I was that day. It ended up being such a great experience and I found stuff that I was really excited to rent. Over the next couple of months every now and then I would have to contact Kayla about this or that - an addition, a subtraction, a question. Every time, she got back to me as soon as she could with an answer or an update. I always knew what I was going to pay, when the stuff would arrive, when it would be picked up. On the day of the delivery the guys came on time and were so sweet and friendly. Every thing I ordered was there down to the very last sash. I worked in event planning for a few years and NEVER did everything arrive. We always had to count, and count again, and then call to track down whatever was missing. This didn't happen. I also loved that they provided a bag for the dirty linens. A great touch. Zero complaints. I was thrilled with this company and very glad I found them. read more

UPDATE: I contacted rentals unlimited again regarding this issue when I realized the tape on the tower. After speaking to a supervisor who was beyond polite and understanding she informed me that they would most likely be pulling that tower from their inventory so this doesn't happen again to someone else. She also said I would receive a full refund and "this was just unacceptable for any event and not how rentals unlimited wants to ever conduct business and they pride themselves in their equipment being top notch". It's a shame that I didn't receive that but I appreciate their understanding. I'm changing my rating to 2 stars because the customer service that I received from everyone except those warehouse guys was superb. I ordered a cupcake tower for my wedding. I was told a pickup truck would be all I need which isn't an issue at all considering my best woman (my best man is a woman) has a pick up truck. We get there and they tell us we can't take it because we need a box truck. After losing my mind this guy gets his manager who was totally condescending and you could tell he thought he was sly about it. He was not. he told us we needed to buy those expensive kind of straps from home Depot before we could take it and when we break it we'll be responsible for the 1,000 to replace it. I caught the "when" reference. That set me off to say the least. I went in to talk a manager, the girls at the front desk were great dealing with my fit of rage. (Sorry ladies) My best woman came in to use the bathroom and as she was walking down to the bathroom she heard the condescending guy in an office talking bad about her. one thing she heard is "who the fu*k brings a pickup truck without straps" So she walked right into the office and said ARE YOU KIDDING ME along with a few other choice words. So then the manager who I'll admit was very kind told us that they would deliver and pick it up at no charge. I was relieved. Problem solved right? Nope. I get a call from the the lady who runs the venue who says the tower has arrived and she was pissed. It was chipped and broken in some parts and they said that was the only one they had. She said it just looked terrible. Oh did it ever. Luckily tammy of the venue is buying some ribbon to cover it up and make it look presentable. They did offer to take it back and replace it with some small ones although that wouldn't be good enough to hold the amount of cupcakes we have. They even said they would take it back and give me a full refund or we can keep the as unlimited rentals called "poor condition" cupcake tower and they'll refund 50%. We obviously chose option 3 since less than 24 hours till my wedding it's not easy to find a cupcake tower that hold 200. I'm thankful for the refund of 50% and the managers free delivery (which I'm assuming only happened because of Mr condescending guy) but a product should not arrive broken, chipped and looking terrible. If I returned it the way it was shipped to me I'm sure they would try to make me pay for the Damage. Out wedding is being held in a mansion with a very specific look and feel. This almost ruined the entire look we have worked so hard for to create. read more

We rented chairs and pipe and draping from Rentals Unlimited for our wedding at the Botanical Gardens in Providence, RI. It was a pleasure dealing with the company - they made everything super easy and were prompt with delivery and pickup. They were the only company that had the clear acrylic chairs I wanted to so badly - and they looked AMAZING! Be sure to get a signed contract! I had no signed contract with them, nor any credit card info on file. However, because someone called in with my info, they took it!!! I've tried to resolve this with them directly, but clearly they are ok with fraudulently charging my credit card without my knowledge or authorization and stating that tibias acceptable!!!! Based on this, they don't require any info from you, just a credit card from anyone to cover a bill. read more

I have to point out a problem with their company name...the customer service here is extremely LIMITED. I had several email exchanges with RE and had placed my exact order with them down to the last knife, spoon and fork. I had given the exact date and time of my event and initially they seemed to be understanding that the party I was hosting was approaching quickly and extremely time sensitive. Beyond our first few exchanges however they would not even respond to my emails, never mind my attempts to contact them by phone. I called their emergency line several times over the 72 hours prior to go-time. No response. I was unable to reach anyone directly during business hours which should have been a sign to run the other way and find someone reputable. Shame on me for not doing so. This company is extremely unprofessional and I recommend looking elsewhere for a more reliable team. Can you believe that they emailed me the Monday after the event and said that they had worked out all of the details and were ready to pull the trigger? Wow!!! read more

Extremely unpleasant experience, poor service, here is a company where internal bureaucracy trumps customers' needs. Misguiding (untrained?) staff made a quote for the table & chairs I needed. I confirmed my agreement and we set a pick up time. Since my order was small, I had to drive to their (pretty remote) location and pick it up myself- which I understand. When I arrived, I was told to go back to my car and drive another 3 blocks to the storage building. At the second building, I was told my order wasn't ready because my quote was... just a quote (not a confirmed order). What was I supposed to do? Go back to my car, drive to the 1st building, pay, then drive (again!) to the 2nd building and pick up my stuff. I asked if we could make things simpler; could I pick the table & chairs, leaving a picture of my credit card for example? Nope. Not a single gesture of flexibility towards a customer. And I was asked to go back and forth, because one of their staff didn't do their job well and close the reservation! I got really mad. Back at the 1st building, the staff took ages to set up a new order "because the 1st order had been canceled" (well I was told it was just a quote! Not an order! And that was the problem! - oh my). Because of all of this, I got late, missed my daughter's back-to-school parent teachers conference, which made me even more pissed off. The staff obviously didn't care. We went to their showroom in Stoughton and picked out everything needed for the table setting, and the sales team was patient and helpful. After placing the initial order, we needed to make some changes when it got closer to the wedding, and it was no problem at all. Everything arrived on time and looked fantastic at our reception. I strongly disagree with the negative comments below. This company was excellent to work with. I never had any issues getting through to any sales member. My venue recommended me to them and I am extremely happy they did. They not only have a wide variety but a showroom I was able to go to and play with the product and come up with my own designs.
