Previously, I had other other roofing contractors come out take a look at our roof and they never followed up with us and seemed sketchy. In addition none of these contractors found any hail damage. Both David and Brent did an excellent job communicating with us in a very kind, clear way that made us feel comfortable working with them. They found the hail damage we suspected all along and were concise in making the case to the insurance company in a gentle, effective and ethical way. Some roofing companies are extremely inexperienced and have no idea how to navigate insurance claims. Not the case with Timberland, they understand the insurance business inside and out and know the nuances of hail claims. I highly recommend Timberland if you need a new roof!

Great at roofs, suck at gutters…read more Contacted Timberland Exteriors after a few of my neighbors used them to replace their roofs due to hail damage. Dan came out and was great about getting all the information I needed for my homeowner's insurance and working through the claim process. We were very pleased with the roof replacement - but NOT the gutters. Roof went really well. Gutters were a nightmare. Dan's color samples were not current and the numbers he gave to the gutter guy were a different color. The new gutters were installed and were not the correct color. Dan was great and came out and took a look and confirmed that he had outdated color samples. The gutter guy came out and I gave him a sample of the paint color that the gutters would need to be painted. After a few weeks, the gutter guys just showed up out of nowhere and painted the gutters. Thought all was well until we had a snowstorm, melt and re-freeze. The gutters were leaking from seams and created major ice dams that I have never had an issue with in the 15 years of being in my house. I sent Dan pictures and he and the gutter guys came back out and checked/adjust the gutters. Have not had a snowstorm or melt/refreeze since, but I do have one gutter that is still backing up and leaking in a seam. As the weather warmed up, I went out to pressure wash my deck and found paint overspray all over my deck and patio furniture. Again, I contacted Dan and he sent the gutter guys back out to clean it up. The gutter guys ruined the darker picture frame Timbertech boards by pressure washing too close and did not get the over spray off my railing or furniture. I contacted Dan again. He sent the gutter guys back out and the had a second chance to fix the issue. They still were not successful in getting the overspray off my deck. I sent Dan pictures again and he told me he was going to contact the gutter team again and asked me to call the owner of Timberland Exteriors, Brent and to give them more time. In fairness, Dan did offer to try and remedy the problem, but by sending the same incompetent people out to ruin my deck further?? I told Dan I was done dealing with the gutter team and I'd do the cleaning myself to ensure it was done right. Great at roofs. Suck at gutters.

We contacted Mr. Handyman to replace some interior doors at our home. I wish we never would have,…read moreand I'm only posting this review to save others from the headache we experienced. Below are a few highlights of their service: -They were very inflexible with scheduling and the only time they could come was when I needed to drop my son off for summer camp. -The technician who came to work on the doors did not wear shoe covers or offer to clean up the debris he tracked into our home as he worked on the doors -The doorknobs were installed backwards, so that the doors could only be locked from the outside of the rooms (locking people inside). We have children; this could be problematic. -The technician left before I could review his work -When I called to ask about having the doorknobs reversed the receptionist (I believe her name was Kristin) hung up on me. -After being hung up on, I called back to see when we could expect the technician to return, and I was told he would be back after his trip to Home Depot (we live about 15 minutes away from Home Depot). It was around 1:30 in the afternoon when I called the first time, at 3:30 when no one had been back to our home to put the doorknobs on correctly, I called back to check the status. -I was transferred to the owner of the company, who told me the tech would be out to put the doorknobs on correctly. No one ever showed up that day to correct the work. So we had to reverse the door knobs. -The following day the tech showed up 2 hours later than he was expected and grumbled, "I'm not perfect". I don't expect anyone to be perfect, but when a mistake is made it should be corrected. Working with Mr. Handyman has been a nightmare, and I would love to save anyone from this headache. I strongly advise looking for a different Handyman company. At this point our project is only halfway done and a door that once closed no longer closes. However, fortunately the locks are back on the correct side of the door. -They left many scratches and gouges in the paint of our door trim and did not try to touch it up even though he painted the doors the same color as the trim. - They started the work before, they received all the doors, meaning they were planning on stretching the project out across weeks. I hope it's just a weird coincidence, but it came across like this is the type of company that promotes men being able to put locks on the outside of doors enabling them to lock women and children in rooms against their wills. After my request for them to put the doorknobs on correctly, I was asked not to call back (only my husband could call) by the same receptionist who hung up on me. It seems important to this company that the women and children being locked inside these rooms do not speak up or advocate for themselves. This has been a horrific experience working with Mr. Handyman. I personally don't feel safe with them in my home, and I hope this review helps consumers to pick a handyman who is handy and accountable.

We completed the walkthrough and he promised to send estimates in 3 days AND prioritize the proposed work based on the issues we saw in our walkthrough. Did Lakewood Electric have a secret alter ego? Regardless of the vehicular identity crisis, out stepped Jared. He assessed the collateral damage with lightning speed and gave it to me straight: getting those RAB Bell flood lights and Mighty Posts back in working order would require a four-hour surgical repair. He also gave me the estimate. Let's just say the cost was... dear. As in, "I might need to sit down and evaluate my life choices" dear. However, you get what you pay for, and Jared was worth it. We scheduled the repair, and he showed up exactly on the dot--a rare and beautiful miracle in the home service industry. He tackled the job with absolute efficiency and effectiveness. The lights are shining brightly once again, and the front yard looks fantastic. The Verdict: Would I use Jared and his mysteriously branded van again? Absolutely. I also want to mention, we first used Mr Electric of Littleton (Yosemite location) 3 years ago, and they've been the only people we've used for our electrical work every since. There has been zero drop in quality of people, or work. We had a European light fixture we had to install, and as I learned they do not install the same in the US. Thankfully, Robert is from Poland so he knew exactly what that difference was! With some quick thinking, he found a very good solution to hang it. It wasn't the "intended" way to hang it, but after explaining to me (in detail) he made sure we were both in agreement that it was a good solution. I'm very impressed with how he managed to resolve this. Without him, I would've had to have somebody come in and replace the entire bracket. The fixture was very delicate, and he treated it as such. He even asked me for a soft pad to place pieces on as he worked. He was extraordinarily friendly, honestly it was like having a (electrician) neighbor come over. I just can't recommend him enough.
