Owner AJ is friendly, approachable, and hands down the best person I've ever dealt with at a garage. From the initial phone call to the keys being back in my hand, the entire process was seamless and never once even hinted at triggering my car repair anxieties. AJ explained exactly what was needed, gave me dates and timing that he never had to alter, and even stayed after hours to make sure I got the car the day I needed it since it's the only car in the house. The final cost was right on point with the estimate (just a couple bucks less actually), and the pricing was more than reasonable, not inflated or overcharged. They even give you a little thank you gift for larger jobs (I won't ruin the surprise). There is no question in my mind that I will be going back to AJ at Pearl St Automotive EVERY SINGLE TIME I ever need something done to my car! 10 out of 10 stars if possible. Went there to get a heavily dented rear car door fixed/replaced. AJ immediately came outside to inspect it; assessed the damage and was able to quote us $1500-$2500 based on having to order a replacement door & the labor/parts. He emailed a full quote just a couple hours later of $1800 - the door was ordered - and in less than a week we brought the car back and he had the job done in 6 hours - an even charged us less than the quoted $1800 because "the labor was less than expected". Who does that. I've used Pearl Street several times for a myriad of issues with my 2012 VW Jetta: broken window, new tires, brakes, check engine light, tire pressure gauge, oil change, A/C, shocks, ball bearings - you name it, and AJ has probably fixed or replaced it for me. AJ always does quality work quickly, at a fair price, and is very flexible in terms of time and parts. He's worked on my car with short notice (he just recently took care of a bunch of things in one day, when I was only expecting him to take a look at what was wrong and for me to bring the car back another day for repairs) and has always checked with me on what my preferred parts are (for quality and cost) before buying. Not only that, but he's saved me a lot of money on two separate occasions where he thought I might need new parts: once on brakes + pads, another on the air intake system. Instead of immediately replacing them, he took the time to clean and adjust them, and they've been working great ever since. Most mechanics would have been happy to just charge me for new parts and call it a day. Having a reliable and honest mechanic is a blessing, and I would recommend AJ + Peart St. Automotive to anyone in need of automotive services! read more

I had very bad experience with this place. I went to fix my engine check light 6 month back but he was not able to fix and charged me $250 for sensor. very unprofessional. Fixed at some other place and that was easy fix. read more
