After coming here to Royal Seafood, I can confirm that person was correct. Hidden in a little corner shop of Brooklyn, Royal seafood doesn't look like anything flashy. It's a small, hole-in-the wall grocery store focused on foods from Russia. Their most notably food is caviar. The front display case had mostly cured salmon eggs, which varying grades of fish egg depending on what you want to pay for (and from which company). They also have various preparations of smoked salmon and other fish. If you want real sturgeon caviar, you can ask for it by the cashier's counter. They can weigh it out individually for you if you want want to buy a whole can. While it's still expensive, it's the real deal and probably cheaper than other places that sell caviar. Overall, it's a cool hidden gem that any caviar lover should not miss.

Well Italians are known for cooking with love, utilizing the best ingredients from earth and there is pleasure in eating delicious food.. Yes, eating at Fragole is molto bene! Fragole is a landmark restaurant on Court Street and for a good reason: deliciously prepared comfort food. My friend and I came with a hearty appetite: three courses for us: appetizer, entree and dessert. Fragole offers scrumptious options for appetizers: salads, soup of the day, polenta, mixed vegetables, calamari, carpaccio to name a few. I must say, a really nice variety to choose from. First, the delicious warm bread for the table that is served with a roasted plum tomato, Kalamata olive tapenade. Knocked our socks off! We decided to share the Cavolo Nero salad which contains Tuscan kale, apples, crispy pancetta, walnuts, croutons with Caesar dressing. We substituted the kale for mixed greens. The salad was perfect; somehow adding apples and walnuts really jazzes up a salad. Also, the dressing is light so not to overpower the ingredients. Highly recommend! We both wanted to order two different pastas but decided on the Rigatoni Firenze with rigatoni, roasted eggplant, melted mozzarella, fresh basil in a tomato sauce. Yowza! Delicious! My friend came close to ordering the Lasagna with béchamel ( traditional way to prepare lasagna) but changed her mind.. next time! We finished it off with Tiramisu.. something about those soaked lady fingers.. absolutely amazing! The menu also offers eggplant parmigiana, grilled steak and salmon ( smelled divine, that garlic!) I'm inspired to make these at home. The fattoush salad was also delightfully pleasant with its vinegar dressing and fresh vegetables and crispy toasted pita chips tossed in. It quickly became a favorite and one of the larger dishes we ordered. The fatayer were surprisingly soft and delicate though SO delicious, I could've ordered another round for the table. The sheesh barak were definitely a table favorite as well. I was expecting slightly bigger dumplings, though they tasted incredible and the minty yogurt sauce was the perfect creamy dip to pair with pretty much everything we already had at the table (I combined it with the rice and YUM).
