I called last Friday for an eye exam and I was able to get an appointment for Monday afternoon. The staff members and the Doctor were very pleasant, approachable, and friendly. They were empathetic and kind. I wanted to purchase a new pair of frames and lenses because my prescription grade has changed. The lady in the retail side was very accommodating, patient, and fun to work with. She helped me try on a variety of frames but at the end, they didn't have good frames that fit my Asian round face with high cheek bones and a small round nose. She jotted down recommendations for other retail sellers. I highly recommend this business if you wish to see a good eye doctor for an eye exam and excellent service for finding the right pair of glasses. Thank you! read more

This was the first time I purchased at a Pearle Vision and everything went very quickly and smoothly. The store representative was kind, helpful, and professional all at the same time. And I just received a call one week later that my glasses are ready. And they are in network with my insurance company, Aetna medicare. So they covered almost all of the expenses. read more

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life! I went in early for my scheduled eye exam. There were already two people with the only visible sales associate. I didn't want to interrupt, so I decided to look around while I was waiting. As soon as I heard the door I turned around and both parties were gone. They must've been together because I only heard the door once. At that point I let him know that I had a 930 appt, which he responded that the Dr wasn't here yet and it should be 5-10 min. I kept looking as I was there to get glasses. Some point later a women came in who I presumed was my Dr. carrying bags and what not, but since it was my first time seeing her I could not be sure. Another lady walked in and said she had a 930 appt, and the guy said whomever wasn't here yet. Then some other lady came in but no one was in the lobby, so I asked the associate and he responded by saying oh the Dr is here now so you can go back. My response was it would've been nice to know that. I go to the back and tell her I have a 930 appt she says it will be a moment, doesn't ask what I am there for anything. She grabs the girl who came in after me but either knew where to sit or was told to sit there and takes her to a back room to get contacts. A couple of minutes she comes back and I say that I was actually before her. Instead of being understanding or apologetic, she goes into saying that she was here for contacts that's something different. I say that doesn't matter you could've checked me in or whatever. She gets an attitude with me I give it back and then she tells me to leave because she doesn't need to deal with it. Just jumps to kicking me out not trying to work it out or anything. Now I am mad. I yell at her that I have a torn meniscus, she yells back that I should think first because I don't know what other people are going through and she has two family members dying. She ends up storming off. I am yelling at her that I wasn't even mad at her I was mad at the sales associate. She was yelling we you didn't tell me that! It was a hot mess of a situation. I went to leave and on the way out I said you know you caused that. He said I didn't do anything, and that the Dr wasn't even here when I got there. Then he gets all snarky and you can leave while shooing his hand towards the front door. I am livid. Absolutely no guest service training what so ever! The owner was my previous Dr and I am sure she wouldn't want her clients being treated in that manner. They both took a bad situation and mad it worse. I will never go back. read more

I give this establishment NO STARS but Yelp's lowest is one. The manager in charge has no customer service skills. I actually took a course in customer etiquette when I worked for MCI Business Services and she is definitely lacking in this department. I called a head of time to verify my VSP benefit so I would not waste my time driving out 30 mins for nothing. Usually, I would receive up to 150.00 for a new pair of glasses with my vision benefit plan but the Pearle Vision rep advised me VSP is an out-of-network coverage and I only get 45.00 for frames and 35.00 for the prescription lense plus they were willing to take of an additional 40% off. I really liked the buy one get one free deal and asked the rep if it applies as well. She got off the phone to verify and she came back and said yes the deal applies with the 40% off. I told her that sounded great and I would be there in a couple of hours. To my surprise, the manager with a "apprentice optician" name tag helped me out directly. It started off pleasant whem she come up to me asking if I need any help and I told her about my earlier phone call and situation. She finally spoke to the rep who helped me out and came back to tell me the samething but with a little twist. The manager told me they would never give two discounts like that. I specifically told her I drove over 30 mins to get here because the rep told me about the deal. She didn't want to hear it and walked away to help another customer. Any other reputable establishment would not treat their customer this way. I was already upset I wasted my time driving up here so I was not about to leave without getting some answers. After a few mins, I walked over to talk with another rep but before I could continue, the manager strolled over and started telling me I apparently misunderstood and there is that's that. I told her why would I want to pay glasses when I practically get them for free with my benefits? I'm going to list the customer service rules she violated: 1. Walking away from a customer in a rude fashion. 2. Telling a customer he/or she they are wrong. 3. Doing whatever it takes to make the customer happy again. Not a big fan. The first time we went here was for my husband to get contacts. They were not terribly helpful, and he had a really difficult time getting them in. I had a regular eye doctor back east, and she was great when it came to assisting me when I made the transition to contacts. She answered questions, coached with a mirror, and put them my eyes herself once or twice to show me. My husband got none of that. No one helped him put them in, and when he clearly had a rough time getting them in (his first time) he was told his eyes were retracting into his head and they had never seen that before?? (We have since gone to an actual eye doctor for him and he was told he had strong eyelids, and given some helpful advice). The second time we went for me. The appointment was in the late afternoon and it was clear the gentleman doctor was in a rush to leave. He changed my prescription to be the same in both eyes (I only have astigmatism in one eye, always have, still have as it turned out) and I had to return after a week because all text in computers and on posters was doubled! I was seen by another doctor, and not only did I not have the same prescription in both eyes, but I didn't have that particular prescription in either eye! How does that happen? The doctor who corrected it was very helpful, but I still don't think they got it 100% right. Save the money for an actual eye doctor with a private practice. Some things shouldn't be a quick dash to the mall, as we learned. My husband just recently was seen by a doctor in Everett, and the experience was entirely different. read more

I have always gotten my glasses at Sears, but decided to give Pearle Vision a try. I made an appointment for the afternoon on a Friday, no less. I was their last appointment of the day. When I arrived the saleswoman at the desk was very friendly and explained the paperwork needing to be filled out. I am a very nervous person when it comes to eye exams. I explained that I cannot usually tolerate the "eye pressure" test when they puff air into your eye. She explained she would try once and if she couldn't get it and I was too nervous she would try drops instead. Well, in 8 years, she's the first person to set me at ease and get both eyes. She was very patient with me and it was greatly appreciated. When I finished the Doctor was ready to see me, right on schedule. He too was extremely friendly and made me feel at ease. I was nervous that being the last appointment of the day might speed things up, but he took his time and made sure I was comfortable with my prescription. I went to pick out glasses and another associate was explaining the differences in frames and was extremely helpful with my questions. Once I picked the frames I wanted, I was able to sit down and figure out what I owed them and when they would come in. I was surprised to have my glasses in my hands in less than a week. I was ecstatic. They are perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better experience, I will be back! read more

Time for the dreaded new glasses and don't like paying opto markup prices, so we've been going here for about 12 years.... Bought some regulars and Oakleys and had nightmare problems with the regulars; left eye looked like someone stepped on Spiderman! Had an interesting difference of opinion between two of the worker whether it was a defect or not....so I emailed corporate. Got the manager, great person, on the line and setup a time to look at me spectucals....she apologized for the behavior of her staff and said the defect was on them....replaced my $315 glasses in five days, no charge. If I blew, I was ready to pay, but I didn't, so I didn't want to pay......great job taking care of the customer, Pearle! read more

As a pilot and amateur astronomer, I am a very tough customer. I need a perfect prescription and a progressive lens that has minimal distortion. It took a little effort, as the first lenses didn't come out right, but I now have the best, clearest glasses I've ever owned. The first prescription came from a substitute doctor. The first lenses were not good, basically a wrong prescription. Upon returning, the regular doctor I saw was fantastic (a young girl, sorry, don't have her name)! She took extra steps, including having me look down the mall while holding lenses to my eyes for distance vision. When I picked up my second lenses the end result was just fantastic. I have better clarity and sharpness than I've seen in years. When I look at stars, I now see pinpoints of light - something I haven't had for years! My lenses were their HD lenses, for a small added cost. They are a 3-focal progressive, in a small frame. They exhibit the least amount of distortion from any pair of progressive lenses I've had. Lastly, I can't say enough about the staff. I dealt with no less than 5 beautiful ladies there that were all so friendly and helpful! It really made the whole experience very enjoyable. read more

Truly a great experience. My husband's eye doctor didn't have many decent frames and the ones she had were really pricey so we decided to give Pearle a try. They had a ton of frames and they were all very reasonably priced. Within 30 minutes we had the frames picked and ordered and we were out the door. I wish I remembered the name of the woman we worked with. She was just such a sweetheart and so personable. I actually hugged her when I left. We will be back next time we need glasses for sure. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR EYES EXAM HERE!!! Rude staffs and Doctor. My insurance benefit said I do not need to pay any money but when I get there they tried to charge me $25 for processing fee. Doctor claimed she's not part of the company she's contractor. Neither me or my insurance understand what they're meant...Basically they want extra money out of your pocket. I happen to walk past this place when I was shopping. Saw that they take most major insurances. Asked the staff If they take state insurances and was told they do but that their in-store sales were better. Was very happy with the experience and knowledge of the staff and Doctor. The first time I just happened to stop by this store, my glasses were killing the bridge of my nose and needed adjusting. They were more than willing to help even though I had not bought my glasses there. Needless to say when my next eye appointment was due, I took my business there and have ever since. This location and it's employees are amazing! Tami, the manager always goes above and beyond to take care of me and makes sure everything is just right. I admit, I am not the easiest customer by all means, I have a difficult prescription, I am picky about my glasses, and seem to be "not to graceful" as I am always bumping my head and getting them messed up. :) I am so thankful they are close to my work and home and are always willing to help get me straightened out again. Waited for a long time for assistance from the only associate working and by that time another couple walked in and immediately wanted help. At first she told them I was first. Wanted her to help me pick out the correct frames . After trying on 2 pairs, the other customer wanted to ask questions so the lady helping me started to help him and just left me waiting again even knowing that I had a limited time. Really, I had to wait for her, she should have told the other customer again to wait their turn. Gave up and walked out very disappointed and upset. There should always be at least 2 associates working the floor, especially at a mall. Called them when I got home and spoke to another lady. She told me it is because it is at the end of the year and everyone wants to use up their insurance. Guess I will find another place to buy my glasses. They have very poor customer service at the Everett Mall Pearle Vision. read more
