Went to Pearl's for the first time for their dinner service and it was great! The restaurant is very cute inside they have nice lighting and the bar is very nice. We tried their Old no. 1 and the Totebag boyfriend pizza after our breadstick appetizer. It was all great but the old no. 1 was my favorite! The service was great as well! I definitely want to go back to try out their bagels

Our bagels were so good and the fruit was extremely fresh. I highly recommend the bacon egg and cheese

S(cream) Queen, delicious the egg yolk really added to the flavor

Definitely a 4 star. The pizza while very good was not great, and so if you're known for pizza then it'd better be great to get a 5 star. That being said it's a nice little restaurant and my family had a wonderful time there. Pearl's is a small, narrow restaurant but it was warm and cozy and surprisingly didn't feel cramped. There's a short bar at the back of the restaurant and there's a few tables on the side walk out front, perfect seating on this cool fall night. I took note of the poor reviews about their service when looking up Pearls on Yelp, though I found them pleasant enough. Except for the dour looking fellow at the entrance, the staff was friendly and service came at a nice pace. We started off with some cocktails and Peroni, my wife found her glass of natural wine (air quotes and sarcasm) to taste "weird" and switched to purl pink marg. We got the half dozen oysters, Thai mussels and wood fired sardines. The oysters were small (west coast or Japanese, they didn't say) and fresh and delicious. It was served with the kim chee mignonette rather than classic, we're Asian so they guessed kim chee, I assume. I'd prefer the classic. The mussels were good too and the coconut lemongrass broth was savory and great for dipping the accompanying bread. Tinned sardines are a common in the land of small plates (Spain) and a comfort food in Portugal, but this isn't Spain so I was surprised it was on the menu and a bit intrigued. One bite and my hopes that this would be transformative were dashed. The green/pickled onions added a bit of novel flavor but the tinned sardines are much like sardines you get from Kroger. The four of us shared the No 1(margherita), the hellbabe, and the scream queen. These wood fired "artisan" pizzas are small to medium in size. Other than the margherita, these were not your classics but unlike a lot of "artisan" pizzas the flavors worked well and these were each very good in their own way. They weren't great because the crust was a little too chewy or rubbery. Their inflated prices also bring it down a notch, I'm embarrassed to say how much I paid for 3 pizzas, some drinks and a tin of sardines. Oh, wood fired tin of sardines. Plus they tack on that 20% gratuity that yelpers have criticized. I'm fine with it, but seriously for takeout. Rubbish. I really appreciated the owners response to customers questioning this practice, "gratuity is distributed among our employees on top of the livable wage..." Hahaha, right?! That's the whole reason for this uniquely American custom of tipping, because we are led to believe that you don't pay staff a livable wage and we have to augment their paltry salary. Anyway, nice cozy little pizza joint with pretty good pizza and cocktails.

What a great spread of small plates! It was outstanding.

Their bagels are excellent. I really enjoyed the Trout Bagel and next time I really want to try the brisket bagel -I hear that it is amazing as well!

Given the name and the food, I feel like it was made just for me. A diamond in the rough at home.

The food and service was great! Get there early bc they do run out of bagels and menu items quickly.

Interesting combinations on the pies. Really likes the pizza with fig on it. Would like some traditional offerings as well though.

Very tasty food. The pizza was delicious! It's a little pricey for what you get but good atmosphere.

Does this place still add gratuity to every order?

If you already pay a living wage, why the need to force the customer to pay 20% on top of that? If you say they deserve more than a living wage, why not pay them that yourselves and let the customer pay any additional amount they feel is merited?…

We went on a Sunday for lunch, and it was not packed at all (in case you're wondering when to go to…read moreeat!) Excellent pizza, crunchy, soft, flaky and flavorful crust ... all the things you want. We got the Pine & Swine pizza and a small Greek salad (the small was big, if you know what I mean). Two dressings (which speaks to my sauce love language). On a weekday, this salad plus a protein add on would be a great lunch or dinner). The Pine & Swine -- for pineapple on your pizza lovers, this is your pie. It was excellent. Didn't taste the feta but didn't really care. Service was a little tired & kind of mid (then again were there on a Sunday around 12). If I were stopping by for lunch again on a Sunday, I'd opt for just sitting at the bar.

Our bartender was a bit grumpy - I think she was displeased our group opted to sit at the bar…read moreinstead of waiting 45 minutes for a table. I felt ignored/dismissed for parts of the visit. The pizza skins were basically mashed potatoes on a pizza. They had very little scallions, cheese, or bacon on them.. My friends ordered a couple half and half pizzas. They weren't very good, so there was plenty leftover for me to try. The Italian didn't have any red sauce - which I know is the intent - but the aioli was a sparse drizzle on top, and it was much too sweet. This led to the pie being mostly greasy meat and a bit of cheese on bread, with some overly sweet aioli on top. The beer selection was good. With all the unique food in Lexington - I would not return.

I tried a…read morecouple of their individual slices, the seasonal meat pizza with corn, poblano, country ham, and blueberry relish, plus a classic pepperoni slice, and their breadstick. Every single bite was incredible. I love that they use a sourdough dough. The crust was so flavorful and perfectly chewy with an amazing crispy bottom. The breadstick was absolutely to die for, especially with the garlic butter. This is hands down the best Detroit style pizza I've had. You can tell how much creativity and care goes into everything they make. The owner is incredibly talented, and this place deserves so much more recognition. They also have a cozy indoor and outdoor seating area and a few free parking spots on the side, which makes visiting even easier. If you love pizza, you need to give Rise Up Pizza a try!

They didn't have a big variety on their menu but they only had 1 person working. I went with the pepperoni slice with a breadstick. I was surprised how cheap it was. My total only came out to be $6.00. The food was goo. The crust was thick and there were a lot of pepperonis on it. It was disappointed in the lack of cheese on the pizza. It was practically nonexistent. There was some sprinkled parmesan and that's about it. Luckily there were a lot of seasonings on the pizza so it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall my friend and I enjoyed the food and will be happy to try Rise Up again
