This is the worst dentist I've been to and I had to call their parent company to file a complaint. Dr. Patel is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She has no business practicing when I've seen her in five different moods in the maybe five times I've been there. You may get her when she's being decent or when she's being awfully mean as I usually have. This dental clinic overbooks like crazy with what appears to be one dentist, so whenever I go in there everyone is frazzled and the dentist is rude and takes it out on me, on top of having to wait for an extra 30 to 45 minutes for my appt. The guy at the front desk loudly and unprofessionally complained while I was sitting there about having to call my insurance and "wasting his time". In multiple instances Dr. Patel raised her voice at me, telling me things such as "get your finances together and then come back" and rudely telling me that I have "poor dental hygiene so she doesn't know what she can do". So very rude and also very humiliating for an experience that is already unpleasant to begin with. I've had awful work done here - my fillings have all been shoddily done and have popped off within a couple of weeks with regular eating, brushing, etc. They do very basic, poorly done dental work, with bad materials not made to last. When I brought this up, they tried to blame it on me. This recent time, they have no account of two fillings they did on my teeth in the summer, and I now have to contact a lawyer since I don't know what they even did to my teeth. They tried to pass it off like I was lying when the record shows that I came in for two visits during the summer, but they didn't log the fillings. Losing medical records is scary. Just overall a very unprofessional practice and Dr. Patel is the worst. read more

The last few times I've had to wait 30mins past my appointment time, even though I show up at least 10 minutes before. The reception desk does their best but the dental hygienist and dentist are wild cards. The dental hygienist I had was nervous and hurt me, squirted water in my face and didn't floss my teeth right. The dentist can be very moody, she can be very nice and attentive or rude and unprofessional. She will keep going even if I'm squirming in my seat, I have a tight jaw and she will force it open even if I ask for a break. They are quick I had X-rays and the cleaning done within 30 mins ! I've been going here for years because my insurance sucks but I think it's time I went elsewhere. read more

Yeah.. Uhm No.. Not coming back here again. I'm doing this review mainly to protect and prevent any one who is considering going here because of the HORRIBLE experience I had. 1. The cleaning procedure done to me is by far, the quickest and most painful cleaning procedure I have ever had in my entire life. 2. All of the staff that handled my cleaning procedure did not have any empathy. If you feel any discomfort or pain... FORGET THEM ALL AND SUCK IT IN because they would not care even a tiny bit. Nope. It would not matter even if you feel that your gums are bleeding and your teeth are all about to fall off. Nope. Pain does not exist in this clinic. This dental clinic are made for robots. 3. One staff who did my impressions for a mouth guard slapped me slightly because I couldnt relax my jaw. I couldnt relax my Jaw because I was choking on the mold material that was held in my mouth. And she kept saying I hope your insurance covers this people just show up with insurance that doesn't cover things. one thing you need to know about this dentist office there's no surgeon . The only thing you will get done is a cleaning or a fill in . I contacted this dentist office, letting them know that I had to get my wisdom tooth pulled and they told me they don't pull wisdom tooth that they were clean and fill it in. The only thing they did was clean my teeth and made my wisdom tooth pain so much worse than what it is. Why would they clean my teeth if I had teeth decay? I am in so much pain, my whole side of my face is hot. ask if I can receive a higher prescription and the only thing they gave me was Tylenol 500 and ibuprofen. SO IF YOU IN SERIOUS PAIN !!' I went here last December for cleaning and to get a treatment plan for some work i know i need done. Not sure exactly what they did but it was the quickest and least invasive cleaning I've ever had. Sounds great but it didn't feel like they had really cleaned. Another thing that raised a red flag was that the Dr. Goyal said, every dentist will tell you you need different work done. Huh? Back at the front desk we were talking prices, insurance, etc. One if the front desk workers said that if i give them a good Yelp review i can get a $25 discount as she wrote their names on a Yelp business card. I repeat do not come here. I wasted my time and my money here. They ruined my teeth, charged me a bunch of money on crowns and then didn't sterilize their equipment so they caused an infection before they put on a PERMANENT CROWN. I had to go to another dentist just to fix what they messed up and it cost me more money. I had to get a root canal done and it ruined my crown. I'm reporting this business to the bbb and the dentist board of directors for their misconduct and not properly taking care of peoples teeth. They should not be in business. read more

This past Tuesday I had an appointment for a teeth cleaning and x-rays. For a number of years now, I had a problem with bad discoloration of my two front teeth. It made me extremely self conscious and embarrassed when talking or even smiling. My job in retail sales has me interacting with the public on almost a daily basis. I always believed that my only option was to have implants done which is something that I have not been able to afford. In spite of the fact that those teeth looked so bad, there was nothing wrong with the roots and my those teeth never caused me any pain. Dr. Patel told me that she could fix them and "make me handsome again". After the cleaning, Dr. Patel was able to buff out the discoloration and then apply a synthetic enamel to rebuild the front of those teeth as well as the back. She did a great job of shaping the new caps, color matching and building up the back side of the teeth. IT WAS A MIRACLE! My new caps look great and even better than the original appearance. I can smile and converse now without the anxiety of self-consciousness. I am very happy to have my teeth and my my life back! read more

Disorganized, greedy and bad service. I was told what I would pay out of pocket for a deep cleaning. I've gotten one done before somewhere else and the dentist was quite professional and thorough. This literally was less than the time it took for a regular cleaning. Then a year later I get a bill for another $120. What the hell is going on here. Will complain to credit card company for fraud and look to see who they're licensed/regulated by. read more

I took a boyfriend there a few years ago and he had a great experience with them. When I changed insurance and found them, I was relieved. They're very close to home and I remembered going with my ex and also with a client of mine. I had a great experience there. Staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure that I wouldn't get hit with any charges over and above what my insurance would cover (I had told them I couldn't afford anything right now). The dentist and I discussed future services that could wait until I can afford it, but we took care of immediate things and she referred me to a nearby oral surgeon to extract a very damaged tooth that may possibly break if she tried it herself. (Turned out to be a clean pull. Maybe because he's good or we lucked out. Either way, I was glad she didn't want to take a chance.) I've recommended to many people since and will be going there going forward. I was VERY surprised to see the negative reviews on here. Maybe I was just prepared for bad service so was delighted at great service, but I'm glad I went. I'd like to see them address the negative reviews. This place sucks. They cancelled my 1 1/2 appt over being a few minutes late. They never once showed me my treatment plan, just told me I had a whole lot of expensive mess to get done....every time I went back which has been twice everything has gotten more and more expensive and there is always some surprise new thing I need, and I've only has 1 root canal done, that they have yet to finish. They still haven't let me know what is covered and what isn't. This place is unorganized. I have to get the one tooth here finished still....but after this tooth...I'm looking for a different dentist. :). I have a lot more work to get done...but this place won't be getting another dime from me or my insurance. read more

I went to Pearly White for a busted wisdom tooth. I have never had such an awful experience at a dentist. When I they started the exam, they took X-rays, the most painful X-rays I've ever had. I had tears streaming down my face, but the hygienist didn't seem to care. She had to keep readjusting the equipment again and again. My mouth was bruised for a good week. Then the doctor came in and told me the obvious - I needed my wisdom tooth pulled. He then left the room and the receptionist came in with an itemized list of what this whole thing would cost. I'm not going to complain about the price, but I've never had an appointment interrupted for someone to tell me how much this will cost. I asked if they could bill me, and they could not, so I had to leave with a broken tooth. I went back the next week with the money to get the tooth pulled. They gave me the most painful tooth cleaning I've ever had. It was super fast, with seemingly no care put behind it. The doctor acted as though I were inconveniencing him. Then he stuck some orajel in my mouth and started prepping a needle with no warning. I asked him to stop and he heaved a big sigh like he was agitated with me. I asked if they had gas because I'm very anxious around needles. He not only said that they didn't have gas, he insulted me saying that gas was only for children and that I was overreacting. Needless to say, I got up, grabbed my things, and walked right out with my broken tooth. If they had been nice about the whole situation, maybe had better bedside manner, maybe I would have tried to brave the procedure, but after everything else I had endured there, I couldn't take it anymore. This is one of the best dentist offices I have ever been to...like most people as much as I love my teeth, any dentist visit scares me. However my visit here was comfortable before I ever made it to the office. Calling to get information and possibly schedule an appointment I talked with Ms. America who was very pleasant over the phone and showed excellent customer service. The name of the office is what attracted me Pearly White...yes that's what I want so that's why I called....I traveled almost 2 hours on public transportation to get here..Well my dental exam with Dr. Patel and her assistant Joana was the most comfortable dentist experience I have had in a long time...and I had to have a deep cleaning very little to no pain and my teeth look and felt a whole lot better. I highly recommend this office and bragged about them to my friends....I'm looking forward to seeing how great my teeth and mouth feels when I'm done with all my procedures. First off let me begin by saying I've never written a yelp review., but after our experiences as a family with Dr. Fatima, we felt it was the only right thing to do seeing, as she has changed our outlook on dentist all together. Dr. Fatima is the best dentist in Chicago., not just for people who are very fearful of getting dental work done like my family, but also because as parents of young children, she was able to calm their fears likewise as us parents, and put us all at ease in her very competent hands. We went into the office, & was greeted by a friendly staff (Pamela / Blanca & Staff) who made us feel comfortable through the entire process. Dr. Fatima is very professional, she walked us through the entire process of what was being done. Her, & her entire staff were even able to calm our daughter fears of dentist, & made her mood lighter. This is one dentist office you can truly walk out of, & say you are "PAIN FREE" , how often can you say that with other dentist office. A very rare, & refreshing experience. Even my husband was very satisfied, & truly please with the work being done on his teeth. What can I say about the staff at Pearly white Dental other than they have a great staff and made the experience as pleasant as possible. Lilly the receptionist was extremely friendly and gave me an great tip on where to fill my prescriptions that I needed. Alejandra was one of the most compassionate dental assistants I have had ever had, and Dr. Abass is one of the most down to earth dentist you'll come across. When my procedure was done Liz gave me the post op instructions and made sure not only that I knew then before I left, but wanted to understand if anything wasn't feeling right or any questions to not hesitate to call them immediately.
