They came out the next day, diagnosed our existing mini-split, and provided a quote for a replacement system. The quote was reasonable, and there were discounts and rebates available. We ultimately chose Derryberry's based on the reviews, pricing, and warranty. Scheduling was easy, and the installation team was efficient and professional. My husband was especially happy with the quality of the Mitsubishi mini-split installation, which says a lot given our previous experiences. We've had the system for about a month so far and everything has been working well. I'll update this review over time because, in my opinion, the true test of an HVAC installation is how the system performs years down the road and how the company handles any maintenance or warranty issues that arise.

We were very happy with the price, expedience, and attention to quality as demanded by the owner, Kenneth Willoughby. We were so pleased, we asked him to replace the roof on our home. While there, we had KWC install vinyl soffit as well. They did a superb job. thirdly, we needed a pull-thru shelter for our RV. Again, KW Contracting did an excellent job. Sadly, a severe storm caused a tree to fall on our Pre-Engineered Steel Building destroying the roof and south side. KW worked with our insurance company to perform temporary repairs until the adjuster had time to complete his estimate. In the interim, we had KWC trim, prune, and remove the existing trees around the building prior to replacing the roof, insulation, and siding. Again, we were very happy with the work. In this day and time, it is rare that you can hire a contractor to do a project in such a way as to check the boxes in every category. KWC not only does good work but the whole crew is polite and they all work hard. Kenneth does what he says that he will do. He communicates with the owner extremely well. The pricing is right. He told me upfront his availability & the cost to replace the 2 outdoor faucets would be around $275 total ($85 per faucet & labor). I texted him to clarify the work I was requesting after that initial call, which he acknowledged. Upon the appt however, he informed me AFTER the work was complete that the charge was double the original quoted price due to "extra fittings." In my opinion it was unprofessional to not communicate this upfront (prior to starting or finishing the work) and although he took some $ off and apologized, it felt off to me. I understand prices can change upon a situation however, please talk to the client directly prior to the work or ASAP. I contacted Matthew for a paper trail afterwards to clarify materials used & he proceeded to tell me that I initially only requested 1 faucet (why the price was different than expected) when I have documentation showing my initial text with date confirming 2 faucets. Apart from the communication topics, the work appears to be resolved decently enough. I want to support local family businesses yet would have reservations using this company again. I hope this situation inspires improved communication.
