Not just a great golf course! We found this gem via a friend. The course is a challenging well maintained target golf course in great shape. My game wasn't cooperating to score well but I still enjoyed the course and experience. Coming from a Midwest customer service oriented background. Normally outside the Midwest I come away a bit disappointed in customer service and interaction. Today was a 5 Star day. Jeremy and his team nailed it. From the club house staff , Lauren on the beverage cart to Sam at the clubhouse bar were all phenomenal. A special shout out to Sam for being a fantastic representation of hospitality. She handled our 12 guys at the bar area and a continuous revolving door of other customers. She did it all with a smile, and was a great sport. My group and I Highly recommend the total experience here at the 500 Club! Very fun demanding course with exceptional customer service. A 5 Star experience! read more

Perspective: have been in the valley since1980. Took up golf approx 12 yrs ago, now avid golfer, member two mens clubs on Tue and Thu. A smaller group has been playing The Futures on Mondays for some time now. 500 Club has ALWAYS been a little more ($) than comparable courses, and not good customer service. Behind the counter, they act like they're doing you a favor. Now recently, they built a new facility/building for The Futures and events - the 9 hole course next door. And in so doing, did away with the chipping green. Permanently. That makes them the ONLY course in The Valley that doesn't have one. Seriously. And what, you ask, did they name the new building (and course?)? THE VIEW. Lmao. With that, my Monday group just changed locations. Permanently. read more

Nice course with some interesting geography and some classic desert Mountain views. The club house vibe was take it or leave it. The marshal was borderline rude, asking us to play faster when the cart computer said we were playing 5 min faster than the targeted pace. There were two threesome's behind us who were playing at a borderline hilarious marathon pace. It really kills the vibe when that happens. I get it's Sunday afternoon, but plan out the reservations better or have the retirees with no patience to play ahead next time. read more

Nice course, but management has completely lost touch with everyday golfers. I've lived just 2 miles from the 500 Club for years and have been a regular player here for over 20 years. I used to play multiple times a week, but unfortunately, that's changed dramatically over the past two years. The course itself is still fun to play and generally well-maintained. The Futures Course (the short par-3 next door) has always been a highlight -- my wife and I played it almost every week for over 10 years. It was the perfect place for kids to learn the game and for casual rounds. But the recent changes have been very disappointing: * They removed the chipping green to build the new event center ("The View") and the new offices for The Futures Course. There are no plans to replace the chipping green. As far as I can tell, this might be the only golf course in Arizona without one; a really strange decision since chipping practice is such a vital part of the game. * The old Futures office had restrooms, cold drinks, snacks, and a nice shaded patio to relax after your round. The new "office" is basically the size of a walk-in closet. It's sterile, has just a small desk and cash register, and offers no beverages, no seating, and no shade. It feels like management is deliberately pushing everyone over to the main clubhouse to spend money, which is very inconvenient, especially for people playing the shorter course. To fund the new event center, they've raised green fees to country club levels. While the course is above average, it simply does not justify these prices. I've gone from playing here regularly to barely being able to afford it at all. It's clear the new management wants to attract a higher-end clientele and has turned their back on the everyday local players who supported this course for decades. I'm truly disappointed by the direction they've taken. The 500 Club used to feel like a welcoming neighborhood course. Now it feels like they're pricing out the very people who made it special. If you're looking for an expensive "premium" experience, you might enjoy it. But if you're a regular golfer who values practice facilities, convenience, and fair pricing, you may want to look elsewhere. As for me and the rest of my Monday foursome, we will be looking for another place to play. read more

For snowbird season, the price for the money is hard to beat. I thought the course was in really good shape. The tees and fairways were divot free. The greens were interesting. I'm no grass expert but the grass seemed different. Very short and hard. Holding a shot was almost impossible. The sand traps were iffy as well. Very little sand in most of them. While it looks like a desert course, the desert was mostly free of bushes and cacti. The pace of play was OK for a Friday afternoon. We played the front in 2 hours and the back in 2 1/2 hours. We never saw a ranger. The practice area was pretty chewed up but usable. read more

Went to the 500 club to play golf without a tee time. The 2 guys in the shop told me they were very busy but would put me on the singles list. While on the range I saw a 3some go out. I went in and asked them about it. One guy searching for an answer came up with "someone is going to join them later. I went back to the range and 20 minutes later see a 2some tee off folowed by a 3some. I went in and asked them about it. One guy said it was 2 groups. I said yes I agree 2 incomplete groups.The other guy told me "if I would have thought of it I would have called you." I just asked youguys aren't going to get me out are you. One guy told me all he sees is 4 somes coming up. Two groups later another 3some teed off. They weren't clueless about what was going to the tee because they were calling the groups to the tee. I think it was 2 guys who could care less about Customer service. read more

I'm actually surprised by the low ratings, Friend and myself played here this week. There is some construction going on, on and off the course. But it's for improvements. A very scenic course, some is one of the best i have seen anywhere. Course is in great shape, and the summer rates have kicked in. Course is a little challenging, but greens very rewarding. Back nine has more terrain, front nine is flatter, however it has water hazards. I will diffidently be coming back. read more

This is a GEM of a golf course! The greens are true. There's no painted dirt or rough greens here. Love the Desert views from their scenic tee boxes. Always gets the amateur photographer out of me. And I have to take one picture. The holes are fun, a challenge, which is what every golfer wants in a game of golf. The bathrooms are very nice ant tidy. I like that being a lady golfer! The staff is very nice. There driving range keeps me coming back! Love to practice before on the chipping &!putting areas. Bring your golf push cart, it's a great workout! My boyfriend and I come here once in a while, so we're NOT regulars. So we don't know what time they shut down the ball dispenser. He got there around 3pm and I got off work at 3:30pm got there around 4pm. We sat inside so we can just talk about our day, work and etc. He purchased the bucket of balls after they closed the ball dispensary, but we didn't know what time they shut off. So once he noticed he didn't get a bucket of balls, he goes inside, and find out that they shut off the machine at 5. While he's inside he talks to someone and the person he talked to (didn't get their name) was VERY rude!! My bf asked if the ticket was good for another day and etc. The gentleman gives him the $12 back and just tells him "that he should have known what time the ball dispensary shuts off" and is nasty to him. More than likely will NEVER come back. It's one thing of us not knowing when they shut off the ball dispensary. But I feel like they should tell people more often. We drove far to get here for a date night kinda thing and just hangout together (We don't go one date nights that often). So for whoever my boyfriend spoke to, I don't appreciate there attitude towards him, VERY unprofessional. read more

Love playing here! You can't beat the price and the course is in great shape. Greens are challenging and some strange fairway walls add to your course management. Hence, it favors those that play there often. Carts have GPS and USB connectors. There are folks who pick up your bags too. They also have a grass driving range so you can really see how you hit the ball versus hitting from a mat which gives everyone a false sense of how they hit the ball. They could add more watering stations through the course but other than that I really don't know why this place gets 3 stars. It is a much better course than the score indicates! read more

Course is way overrated gets so much play grass is not allowed to grow. Bunkers are ALL Dirt NO sand. 6 minute t times backs everything up. No water to drink on front 9. Poorly run. Watch your belonging while there I left my rangefinder on cart (MY MISTAKE) but of course the cart person never turned it in over $300 unit. read more

I really enjoyed playing this course. It is casual, but there is wonderful scenery and the maintenance is good. A nice mix of par 3, 4 and 5s with some challenging holes, including one in which the green was an island. It was easy to get a weekend tee time, especially for an area known as a golf destination. read more

This is not a great course, not a bad course, I have enjoyed playing there. My one star rating is due to their lack of COVID protocol. Last year, when COVID became a concern, it was the ONLY course we played that didn't follow COVID protocol. I didn't play there again. Yesterday, I walked into the pro shop to buy a gift, NOBODY wore masks, no plexiglass dividers, NOTHING. I had my mask on and offered my concern, as I have been recently exposed from a distance, and they said they didn't care. If you care about not getting COVID? Don't play here. Terrible place to golf, i've been golfing all around the USA and flew into Arizona to see family and played at the 500 club, was going to use my cousins golf clubs and forced me to RENT $65 golf clubs, after paying $80 FOR TEE time!!! I have never been forced to rent golf clubs. Absolutely ridiculous, not to mention the guy at the front counter was extremely rude and acted like he was better than anyone & everyone. I will never come back here and i suggest you take your business elsewhere. read more

Condition of the course was good 7/10, especially with the recent rain Ranger on the course - subpar 0/10 Not a busy day on the course, no one in front of us, one group two strokes behind. Did not see the group behind them. Apparently being 2 minutes behind schedule was too slow. Our group could have played many other places at $86 per person, wish I would have. Watch out for wild life!! :) Literally, kid you not, honest to truth, I have never seen so much natural wildlife on a golf course. Coyotes, jabalina, hawks, etc. Fun course if you like seeing a little wildlife Basic course, pretty wide fairways, flat greens, NO HOUSES around!! (Coming from a beginner and one who has broken a window off a drive shot, these are all big pluses!!) some fun water holes too. Not as nice as a tpc course, but that's fine with me! 500 course is a great course, competitive price, and perfective for any golfer. Only wish they had coolers w ice on their golf carts :) They do have a nice gps system on the cart (but it also limits where you can drive). read more

If I could give the 500 club zero or negative stars I would because they don't deserve any. We play golf and this was our first time coming here today. I can guarantee I will never ever come back here again!!! If you play golf please do not come here and go somewhere else. take your business elsewhere to another golf course. by far the worst customer service I have ever seen in my entire life!!!!!!!! We had a teatime booked. we told the guy we were running a little late and he said he would give us some time. we said ok and we would be done by 6. so we get there at 5:05 by the time I walk over to pay it's like 5:10 and guess what this guy says.. take a wild guess???!!!.......he said Sorry it's to late blah blah. Along with some shitty attitude.. then another guy comes over with the same shitty attitude. crazy?!? I seriously don't understand it they were still going to get our money and we were going to play golf but obviously we interfered with them going home. I belong to arrowhead country club and I play golf at the Legends I've never ever been treated that way over there. but my first and last time coming here I was treated very rudely. So again if you want to play golf don't bother coming here go to Legends go somewhere else but do not play golf here and have to deal with the rude stuff that works here. read more

Low rating for the "bad" attitude of the staff. Golf course was great. Well maintained and groomed. Pricing is competitive. We wanted to use two golf carts for our play today but we're refused. Even though the CDC, Arizona Department of Health Services and Governor Ducey issued a executive order for social distancing. How do you do that when you are sitting next to another person? The course is beautiful, unfortunately they scheduled two foursomes and then placed two twosomes behind us. The Marshal was constantly talking to us about our pace and yet our cart said we were 2 minutes behind. We arrived 45 minutes early and no one Teed off in front of us. They told us to go ahead and start. There should not have been anyone pushing us along like that. We golfed WigWam the day before and had an amazing experience.
