A great park in Green Valley Ranch near my house that I have visited many times but have yet to…read morereview. My two aunts temporarily rented a house in the gated community adjacent to this park when they moved to Henderson in 2015 (they've since found a permanent home in the Silver Springs neighborhood). With their old house backed up behind the park, I couldn't hear any noise coming from here every time I went to go visit them, which was excellent. My friends and I would come down to Paseo Verde Park to play Pokémon Go on several occasions. This is a park that my boyfriend and I like to go to during our evening walks. It's a little further down from my house, but it's still within walking distance. There is a giant open grassy field, tennis courts, basketball courts, a volleyball court, and a huge playground with a bunch of slides and swings. In middle school for a brief time, I played tennis here. There are many flowers and dandelions all around that have blossomed since the start of the spring season. They're a great addition to the park and are well maintained. There is plenty of lot and street parking all around. Lots of people bring their dogs here as well. I've also seen Little League baseball and soccer games take place here.

The best part of this park is the large, covered playground. The tarp allows some sun in, but it has some of the best coverage of any playground in the area. The playground has several slides, swings (two baby, two regular), a couple of climbing features, and plenty of room to run inside. The only thing to watch is the steepest slide ever on the side facing the playground. The large, open, grassy field is in front by the baseball field. There are some trees at the edge that offer shade, but most of it is exposed to the sun. I like to cover my daughter in sunscreen and let her run all the wiggles out. This is a great, well maintained neighborhood park for adults and kids.

Cinnamon Ridge Park is a nice little park that has a playground area, walkways that you can walk on…read moreto get some good exercise in, basketball and tennis courts, shaded tables to sit at to hold a nice picnic and restrooms to take care of business after the picnic eats. It is located right off of Burkholder Blvd. that is convenient to pull right off and enter into the park. The parking lot isn't too big and can seem kind of tight on busy park days, but there is another park located near this park so it isn't too bad with compensating between the two. It also has a nice crosswalk equipped with lights and flashing stop sign to signal to oncoming cars to slow down and STOP because people are trying to cross safely. I'm very glad they added this to the crosswalk because they did not have this in the past and it was very dangerous for kids to walk through in the crosswalk. There is a high school (Basic H.S.) located right next to the park so lots of kids walk home school and sometimes use that crosswalk to get to their houses right across the street from the park.

It was weird, because I now have a history of vertigo and I experienced this acute case while making a forced stop here in Green Valley Park. It was in the middle of the day around 10:30am when I approached the park after crossing the street. I managed to find a park bench where I basically try to ride it out. It was one of those things were community Parks are a great blessing, as well as a necessary need for those who are like me who need that place of refuge. From what I saw, the park itself was very beautiful, and had the necessary amenities and thankfully, there was restroom facilities that was open for public use. with that said, I basically use an empty park bench, while random individuals were playing basketball on the basketball court near the bench I was trying to recuperate at. Thankfully everything was decent but not really. It was nice to have this downtime while vacationing in Las Vegas / Henderson, Nevada, but it probably would have been better than elsewhere rather than lying down at a park bench here at green valley community park. It is what it is, and that was my experience here. Even though I observed the park and experienced the park in its basic form, my plans here were needed to be adjusted. Unfortunately, for me, these plans were derailed because of my ongoing battle with Vertigo. Green Valley community park itself was maintained beautifully by the local city parks department, I'm guessing. For the most part, though, I don't regret coming here, but it is a great comfort knowing that it is here for everybody and anybody that is local area or just passing by. After regaining some form of sanity during after my vertigo relapse, I attempted to call an Uber to get me to the hotel so I can check in and hopefully sleep it off and return back to normal. And that basically what happened I returned back to normal the next day after a very good nights rest. The overall experience here at Green Valley community Park was good. I am just thankful that I happen to be upon this park with my attack of vertigo happened and lucky that there was no way there so I can have my privacy. Even though help was probably good also, but privacy is good also along with time to have it pass . I enjoyed the park bench pretty much because I could stretch out the entire length of my body onto the bench without having to shorten my legs to fit on it. There are some water fountains next to the restroom facility, but I did not use that at the time I just wanted the spinning to stop and can progress With my rest of the day. But that didn't happen at least during my time here at the park. Park itself is kind of small sense, but it is really nice to have a part that serves this part of the Henderson community. Not to say, I enjoyed myself here, but, I wanted my vertigo to stop, so that was my number one priority at the time. I never knew having that having good site was. Sucks to have it taken away all your life you're expected to have good everything until it's gone. yeah, it is what it is especially when you know life is not always too many people. I enjoy the fact that the park itself was private, and that it is in a modest residential area. Because it was during the day while I was here, on a Thursday, it was peaceful, and I could just have my privacy to deal with my number one concern of the day. With all that said, best bed is to come here when there is plenty of people so you can enjoy the social aspect of having a committee park here. Many things to do in this park, including walking the perimeter or playing basketball at the central basketball court Along the main road. It sucks for me to experience the park this way, but I'm come to be grateful for Parks in general not just here in Las Vegas/Henderson, but generally speaking. Green Valley Park is located on 370 N Pecos Road in Henderson, NV. Like our mini parks, they are admission free. No money necessary to come here. Unless, of course, you are wanting to find a day on approve equipment or something. I arrived here by bus. And left in an Uber. The bus route I use was route 111 which was pretty cheap considering I use The $5 for 24 hours transit pass for visitors. For parking purposes, best bet would be available street parking since I'm not sure if there is actual private parking for a community park. For what it's worth, my experience here is a reminder that for anything these days. Whether you're local here or there Here or just passing through, come on by. This might be the gem you're looking for. I know I wasn't looking, but it was a gem for me during my struggle with vertigo. We also realized that we have hiked one of these trails years ago. The place is elevated so one way of this trail is uphill for those who want get their heart pumping and legs in better shape. It's a very peaceful place and it seems safe. It's one of my go-to parks to enjoy cooler Vegas weather walks and morning coffee. Come and enjoy this place, I so recommend it. Cheers!

We just had to go pick up some freshly made donuts at the food truck. This park is really nice! The first thing I noticed how clean and well kept the park is. There's a good mix of open grassy areas, walking paths, playgrounds, and sports areas, so it works well whether you're there to relax, walk around! There was a baseball game playing while my husband and I visited the park. There were people out walking dogs and running too! By the time we placed our order at the LV Donut food truck, there was another Hawaiian Poke food truck that had just showed up! This is a great community park where you can take a walk, sit for a while, or let kids play. I'll have to come back in the evenings when the weather cools down a bit during the summer nights!

The main bathrooms are currently being fixed, but I actually appreciated that they put a port-a-potty with a sink in the parking lot instead of just closing everything and leaving people with nothing. That was pretty thoughtful. The park itself is really nice. The grass is well kept, there's a good area for kids to play, and I noticed a lot of older people out walking and exercising which I loved seeing. It felt peaceful and well maintained. I don't live on this side of town, but I'd definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.
