Fairly decent sized park. Has a baseball field, tennis courts, two playgrounds and BBQ grill with seating underneath a canopy. I was there all afternoon until mid-evening so there was ample lighting as well. I came here for a church picnic. Some of the peeps played kickball while the rest played frisbee, bean toss, and I guess every typical picnic/park game. A lot of us came so therefore we took it over and yet there was enough space for all of us! And there probably was over 100 of us there.

Great park in Henderson. My friend decided to throw her sons birthday party here in April. The perfect time and weather. Not too hot and still breezy. The park was very open with plenty to do for families: -Trails to walk on -Plenty of Parking -Tennis Courts -Baseball Fields -Picnic table areas spread out -Jungle Gym for kids -Swings Those are a few of the things you can do on your day off or just a day to take the kids out to burn energy. The park was clean. The occasional "dog accident" but nothing gross. The landscaping is kept up with so it's a very pretty park to enjoy. If you are in Henderson I would check out this park and maybe your next kids party could be held here. I think free memories for a party are better then spending hundreds on a kids party. I'm very glad I got to experience this pretty park on this side of town!

Very nice park for kids! Has 2 different play structures for different age groups. Big kid swings and baby swings. Grass, slides, bathrooms, etc. Next to Josh Stevens Elementary. Gets busy after school lets out. Lots of benches to sit on. And a covered picnic table area.

So close to our home and finally stopped to let the kids run wild. Very clean park, equipment all in order, clean restroom.

I've been coming to the Rec Center on and off for about 2 years. What I like about this location…read moreis that it is close to my house, there's plenty of parking, and it is pretty new. I mainly use their fitness center which cost $4 a day or $16 a month. It's open until 8pm and it usually isn't busy. They offer treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and weights. The atmosphere is pretty comfortable and nobody hogs the machines. Depending on what times you go, the attendants play music to their liking (sometimes oldies music or hip-hop). There is also an aquatics center across the street, a basketball court, skate park, and a variety of classes, like zumba, offered as well.

We made our reservation a month earlier and payed the deposit that was required for 4 hours. On 2/20/2026 we arrived at 3pm ready to setup for our celebration. When we walked in the room, it was filled with clothes, food and children doing projects, the reserved signs that were supposed to be on the glass doors was taken off and thrown to the side on a counter. The room was not clean. The kitchen was not clean. When I said to the staff did you forget that this room was reserved? Everybody came out of the woodwork and start moving tables and gathering up things. We had to wait thirty minutes or more for them to clear the room in order for us to setup for a four hour event. Which they never cleaned trash was on tables and floors. So we had to clean before we set up our event. At the end of the event, we went over a little and was chastised as we walked out to our cars, hearing that the office manager will be in touch with you for the additional fees. I suggest that if you really want to have a stress-free event do not use this place. There is no professionalism at all there. Mind you, we left the place cleaner then what we found it because that's what we do. And we refused to pay anything in addition to what we had already paid. I'm writing this review in hopes to save, someone else the disappointment and the upsets that we felt the evening of celebrating such a great event. Blessings to all.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we? I had just given birth to my third child when my sister…read moreconvinced me to enroll my two-year-old in the "Parent & Tot Tiny Tumblers" class--which sounds intimidating, right? At the time, he was mostly non-verbal and had an intense fear of new people and places. After just a few days of what felt like pure torture--filled with non-stop tears and screams--he turned three. At age three, the kids graduate and you get to send them off to "Mr. David's Tumbling Tots." Once again, I was convinced to sign my boy, Jaxson, up. This time, it was two days a week of intense, fear-fueled tantrums. After eight months of private therapy with absolutely no progress, I was desperate. And Mr. David kept telling me, "Keep coming back." Two sessions, eight weeks, twice a week... it got to the point where other parents literally asked for my schedule so they could enroll into the opposite days. And then, Jax touched the mat. He didn't actively participate right away, but simply touching that blue mat freed mommy from the back pain of standing for 60 minutes--or playing a real-life version of Where's Waldo. (A part of me still wonders if he genuinely forgot I was hiding behind that mat, or if it was all part of his plan.) Fast-forward to the present: Jaxson is now four and a half years old, and he is the most talkative, confident, and highly coordinated little man in town. He has truly blossomed, and I owe that recognition entirely to Mr. David. After seeing Jaxson's incredible progression, I enrolled my other two "gremlins" as well. I truly cannot rave enough about how amazing of an instructor he is. Watching their confidence skyrocket, their strength increase, and their behavior improve made me think, "Hey, I could use some of that." So, yes, I joined adult gymnastics! If you are reading this and contemplating coming to this rec center, look for me. I'm the woman on the floor, or the one chasing a little blonde, curly-headed girl around who constantly gives me a run for my money. I will definitely convince you to join. By the end of a session, you honestly wonder what kind of magic Mr. David possesses to get twelve three-year-olds to actually listen. It comes down to the immense effort, compassion, and time he invests in each child. It is rare to find someone who puts their entire heart into what they do. As long as you take your child consistently, they will blossom too--I promise. My children and I are living proof. Since I am now here five days a week, I have met the entire staff, and they couldn't be more welcoming. They are genuine, good-hearted people who make the atmosphere a thousand times better, especially when your kids are acting like... well, "little angels." To me, Whitney Ranch Recreational Center has become my second home. Being here brings me so much joy, and I am incredibly grateful to have found such an amazing program and community.
