I saw so many cute pups, from golden retrievers, corgis, scrappy looking terrier mixes, and pudgy happy pugs just to name a few! Taking place in front of the Yavapai Courthouse, the grounds were green, cool and shady, perfect for strolling around and browsing at each vendor booth. Some of the booths I remember seeing were jewelry, local artists, raw honey, spice mixes, dog related merchandise, and pottery. Food booths were also varied and provided some tasty eats, from Chinese style bao to cinnamon coated almonds. There was plenty to see and we were able to get a good parking spot on the street around the corner from the festival. We got here in the morning around 10 but when we left in the afternoon it did get a bit more congestion traffic wise and it seemed like spots were hard to find close by. We brought the dogs and they absolutely loved taking in all the sights and meeting all the other furred four legged friends. :) I'd definitely go back again to enjoy the cooler Prescott weather and browse with the pups! Details for 2018: -September 1 and 2 (Saturday and Sunday) from 9 AM to 5 PM -September 3 (Monday) from 9 AM to 3 -Over 120 vendors, including 20 new vendors this year -Very dog friendly!

Nothing to get too exited about, because after attending dozens of them over the years they can begin to all blur together a bit. That is not to say they are all created completely equal; there are just many of the same or similar vendor that setup time after time. This particular festival is one of the nicer ones as it has the most vendors and one of the widest variety of types of vendors. All-in-all a great way to spend a beautiful Prescott afternoon.

There is no "up and down." This place is a labyrinth designed by someone who said, "What if we hid Narnia behind every dresser?" I got lost at least three times. Possibly four. At one point I genuinely forgot: What I came for, which direction I entered... who I am as a person. Every time I thought I found the "main path," I'd turn a corner and BAM! secret pocket room. Hidden alcove. Side quest unlocked. Now, to be fair, if you are someone who enjoys treasure hunting, rummaging, discovering trinkets you didn't know you needed, and time traveling, this is your Disneyland. There is stuff. So much stuff. Trinkets. Bobbles. Whatnots, galore. Things your grandma had. Things your grandma refused to have. I went in looking for one very specific item. I did not find it. I did, however, find three existential moments and mild spatial disorientation. Did I have a good time? Yes. Did I leave with what I needed? No. Did I briefly consider dropping breadcrumbs to find my way out? Also yes. Three stars because it's impressive, chaotic, and an adventure... but if you go in with a mission, be prepared to lose it. Possibly along with your sense of direction. Would return. With a map.
