The lobby area has a bunch of gorgeous woodwork and it provides a great greeting upon check-in;however, the folks at the front desk do not. I interacted with two different ladies at the front desk and they were not friendly at all, and one was very annoyed by our simple questions. I feel like someone in that role at a resort, not just some random hotel, should be very welcoming and happy to answer any questions you have. This was just not the case. We began walking back to the room and there was a huge shift in appearance and aroma from the lobby to the halls of the rooms. It smelled like pee in some areas and like mildew in others. There were various stains on the carpets and it all looked quite dirty. I noticed that some rooms had a laminate floor instead of carpet, which is something that really needs done in the whole building. I'm sure they're in a transition between updating parts of the building, so hopefully it will see better days in the next few years to come. The bedroom itself wasn't smelly, so that was a plus. The bed was very hard & old, and the pillows were old too and very uncomfortable. There were some old dried up contacts left around. After I showered, I wiped the floor with a towel in the bathroom and the towel was very yellow. So I'm assuming that was from pee on the floor? Hotels are pretty much always gross, but I guess I had higher expectations because it's a resort and not a cheap one either... Anyways, I am grateful to have had a place to stay with all of my family, especially one SO close to the wedding venue (5 mins from the resort). It was easy to ignore a lot of these things with something so pleasant going on at the time. I just don't think I'd personally come back again on my own doing, or at least not until the resort sees an abundance of updates. They offer mini golf, ziplining, a pool area, a spa, paintball, gemstone mining, and a few other things. I did not get to try any of those due to time restrictions, but it made me happy to see that they have a solid variety of activities for the summertime! They also have a stage where they do live music at night, which is always awesome to see. Again, lots of potential here, it's just a matter of fixing things up a bit!

The golf course is EXTREMELY challenging. $114 for 18 holes on peak weekends. The course plays extremely long. Need big drives for a half way decent 2nd shot. I shouldn't be reviewing golf courses as my game is not up to par yet but atleast the review will be an avid fan of playing difficult courses. Everything is well taken care of and the staff is extremely friendly. Have a smaller selection of food and drinks but it's the average for a golf course. Great challenging spot. Great golf carts Overall a very nice 9.1 out of 10. Will definitely remember this course.

We were looking for a 'staycation' that felt like a getaway, and that's exactly what we got! For all we knew, it felt like we had traveled hundreds of miles to a vacation destination tucked away on our own exclusive resort! Their team was great and access to the room was totally contactless. They are pet-friendly and have a # of different style cabins with varying degrees of luxury & with our cabin rental, we received free kayak/canoe rentals and also received a discount to rent a pontoon boat, which we did and would do again! P.S. you do NOT need a license to drive the boat and all life jackets (except infant) are provided! You can bring food and alc/non-alc beverages on board for everyone to enjoy, except the driver, who can still enjoy a nice mocktail. The cabins were squeaky clean and have everything you need and more, most importantly: wi-fi, TV(s), heat, and A/C! Some cabins have their own deck, picnic table, and grill, but there are MULTIPLE community fire-pits and grills scattered elsewhere throughout. Even though we did not stay in a cabin right on the water, the second row was elevated high enough to still have a lake view! BIG BONUS POINTS if you have kids, as they have a HUGE lake-side sandbox like I've never seen before and an awesome playground! Hungry? Thirsty? No problem - take a few steps and you're at the connected Sunset Grill restaurant, which has a gorgeous view and observatory, live music on some nights, and my most-favorite feature, little dining cubbies for larger groups with your OWN, personal, controllable heat lamp and fan - absolutely brilliant. (No reservations unfortunately, but they were very accommodating as we tried to seat our larger group) We will definitely be going back! Fun waterpark for all ages, my favorite was the adult only hot tub that is tucked off in the corner, quiet and very relaxing. Enjoyed the lazy river too. The kids really had a blast, they do have a kid friendly hot tub, slides, pools, shooting water and really like the overhead buckets that fill and dump. Plenty of lifeguards on duty. Place was clean and has ample restrooms and large changing area. There are lockers to rent if you need to store your belongings.

So we flew from LAX to Buffalo, NY, which allowed us to visit Niagara Falls (stunning) and then take a quick drive south to Bradford, PA (home of Zippo lighters). The first thing one notices when entering this part of Pennsylvania is how well-kept the homes and farms are. And when you turn onto the access road to the Glendorn Lodge, you see their farm-to-table patch of a vegetable farm. Once through the gate, the drive is a couple of miles to the main lodge and check-in. The staff are so wonderful and polite, calling us by our last names, which is very formal but a nice touch! Our home, cabin, was lovely beyond description. The master bedroom was stunning, the screened-in porch was perfect for 10 to 12 people hanging out (ideal for a family reunion), and we had an outdoor fireplace/pit blazing and roasting marshmallows for the kids. The next morning, we rode bicycles that you keep at your cabin home. We went out on a small lake with paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, etc. We also played volleyball and had lunch catered and delivered to the lake - fantastic service. The next day we played tennis, swam, basketball and even shot skeet! As our time at Glendorn came to a close, we reflected on the unparalleled service and the deep sense of relaxation we experienced throughout our stay. The staff truly went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect, and their personalized approach made us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. To cap off our trip, we took a leisurely drive back toward Buffalo, savoring the memories of Niagara Falls and our time at the resort. We left Glendorn with our spirits lifted, ready to cherish the beauty of nature and the luxury of wonderful hospitality.
