My husband got the hot wings and a burger and I got the house salad and fish and chips. We both really enjoyed our food, and our server was great. First time here. Many have recommended it. And they were right, it was fantastic. I particularly loved the Conglomeration Pizza. Oh man, was it great. We ordered chicken wings and chicken strips with chips for our side. I wish I would have got a picture of the chips. 1/4 of the chips were burnt and I mean black burnt. A buddy of mine and I decided to come to Sybergs this evening after work. Before deciding, I read a lot of the reviews for this place. It was only rated at 3 stars, which gave me pause. But the food sounded good, so we went. Now I'm not gonna say the folks that left bad reviews were wrong because that was their experience..... However, I can easily say that my visit was not like that. I'll start by saying that it was busy, but not crazy. And we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Amy, was there pretty soon and was very nice. She took our drink orders and our main orders when she got back. She is a good waitress!! My buddy got a burger and onion rings. I ordered the "Helen's Reuben" sandwich, but swapped the saurkraut for Cole slaw, thus turning the Reuben into a Rachel sandwich. We also got fried ravioli. The burger was good and the onion rings were tasty as well. The rings dipping sauce was really tasty for dipping. I'd take it home if I could it was so good. My "Rachel" sandwich was very good. The marble rye was toasted, and it was a good mixture of meat, slaw, cheese and dressing. Not so much that it was hard to eat, but enough to fill me up. One of the better ones I've had lately. I cannot say enough good things about this Sybergs! We are big fans of Sybergs in St Louis, and gave this one in IL a try. We had a very cranky elderly relative with us, and she was prepared to hate it. What a pleasant surprise to have one of the best waiters we've ever had (Jacob!). He was patient and answered her million questions. He was kind and attentive. He made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The food was great, as it has been st all Sybergs. The whisky salmon was great. Our elderly person raved about her chicken modega and enough leftover to take homer. Our server, Tessa, tonight at Syberg's in O'Fallon, IL was excellent. We had a large party & she didn't seem phased at all. She matched our energy & entertained us with her stories. She was on top of everything from drink refills to a birthday sundae. Our food came out correctly with the exception of a pizza that apparently she noticed was incorrectly made & had to be remade. However, because she was honest about the mistake & kept us informed as to status, it was no big deal. Overall, a great experience with the family made even better by a fantastic server. I met a friend here for dinner and had a pleasant time. It's a bit of a sports bar and so they have sports bar sort of food and we had plenty of it. Margaritas and nachos got us started. For main course, I chose the hot chicken sandwich! Basically two big chicken tenders with buffalo sauce poured over. Two of them were too big for the sandwich bun so one got consumed with knife and fork. Quite spicy (yay!) and so that went with a nice local beer before I could finally get the sandwich going. Onion rings were excellent and also messy, though my friend had the house-made chips and they looked pretty awesome. All told, a fun place to meet up and eat. The food was great! Syberg's is one of my friend's favorite restaurants, so I was excited to try it out. Obsessed with the buffalo chicken dip looking like a shark. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My main complaints are that the decor is overkill (there's mismatched, and then there's cluttered)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and that the service was just okay. While the food was made quickly, several different wait staff assisted us to the point that I'm not even sure who our server was. Also, the menu *says* they can accommodate for dietary restrictions, but no where does it actually list them. If you're going to advertise that you can accommodate for wheat (and gluten) restrictions/allergies/intolerances, you should actually list those modifications on your menu, or at least on your website. From experience, I knew that as someone with a gluten intolerance, I would be "okay" with a salad. Since I eat sourdough 1-2 a month to keep from cross-contamination from being as severe, I decided to go ahead and get a burger that came on it and let this meal be my dedicated gluten exposure for the month. If you have Celiac Disease, I would NOT even consider dining here. For that reason, I would give Syberg's 3.5/5 stars. read more

I was truly impressed with the level of service we received. We had a big party during lunch and the hostess was more than accommodating and sat us within minutes. Our server was soooooo amazing. Like top 5 best that I can remember. Onto the food...I ordered wings and they were just okay. The sauce on the wings was good but the wings itself weren't anything to brag about. Also almost $20 for 10 wings is really overpriced. I do think I would go back and try something else but what stood out to me was how amazing the service was. read more

Luckily we opened in car to start eating cause we were heading out to a birthday party. There was NO chicken. I went back inside and then had to wait another 20 minutes. Ridiculous. The manager brought out a new salad and grilled chicken. Sorry if you make me wait another 20 minutes for my food and do not comp anything or even offer a drink. Went there for lunch today and thought I'd try the Reuben. Presentation was great, but that's where the good times ended. The marbled rye bread was toasted and tasty, as was the kraut and Thousand Island dressing. The meat was so tough and chewy, that I couldn't cut through it, nor cut it with the table ware. Very stringy and tasteless. Would not recommend at all. The crinkle cut fries were crisp and tasty, so that was a plus, but the sandwich was such a letdown. Wish I had taken a picture, but the sandwich was so messy, I didn't want to grease up my phone. That said, our server Dylan was very efficient and pleasant to deal with. read more

Stopped by Syberg's today (Father's Day) after the parking lots of all the steak houses were packed. Walked in to a packed restaurant and got seated within 5 minutes of giving our name. It was our waitress first day and she was bubbly and welcoming. Syberg's offered one free appetizer from a reduced selection menu and the Chicken Dip was our choice. It was tangy and delicious. Many other dads were selecting the onion rings and the basket full was devoured. Sports playing on the big screens with no volume. I like this so that conversations happening at the table could still be enjoyed. Food ordered; Chicken Mudega w/Broccoli and House Salad, Club Sandwich no Bun w/Fries, 6 Syberg's Wings and a Mama's Pizza. Everything but the salad was good. Salad was full of brown iceberg lettuce that had to be picked out. Staff was an eclectic group of people that all had a positive vibe for a busy Holiday Sunday. I will be back, maybe for lunch during the week. Food was good for the price. $60 out the door for all the above mentioned things. Maybe a 5 Star place on a different day, but hats off to the Family Owned business for giving free appetizers to Dad's on Fathers Day. read more

Eh I wasn't blown away. I have wanted to try Syberg's ever since they came to Illinois and I just got around to it. My service was fine, my server did great job at table touches and my food was served at temp. I ordered the appetizer platter and it had a little of everything- toasted raviolis, fried mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, pretzel bites and sygoons-fried wontons filled with a Buffalo chicken mixture. They are known for their signature sauce which is similar to a Buffalo sauce, and I chose to have my chicken wings tossed in it. I am not interested in trying shark so I didn't try their signature shark bites or shark tacos, but to me the food was just ok. I wasn't really blown away by their menu or offerings and it just seem like a place to go when you didn't want to cook and wanted a drink with your meal. I know I only ordered an appetizer platter, so I didn't get too adventurous in my choice, and therefore I don't think I can judge too harshly since my food was served perfectly and my service was good. But I don't think I will be back anytime soon. There are too many options to eat, even in O'Fallon, IL, so I think I will pass on visiting this place. I won't be missing much. read more

Not a bad place for a beer, OK atmosphere. and the burgers look OK, too, but I was with a friend from the UK and ordered "fish and chips" so they could compare them to what they have back home. Mistake. When the food arrived, it was a small basket of four (4) small.fish sticks (no kidding) and some undercooked waffle fries. I was sure this was the children's meal. Had to be. So I asked the waitress and, no, it was their version of fish and chips. Wow. I was mortified in front of my UK friend and clearly displeased - but no offer to replace with a different item. They also got the UK friend's order wrong. Even at Drake's, down the street, fish and chips is 3-4 large fish filets and a basket of fries. My recommendation, if you want a meal, eat at Drake's. read more

First time visiting this restaurant. We will NOT be coming back. Don't order the Buffalo chicken dip unless you love mustard. Their "special" sauce is mustard based and gross. OMG... So much good food! Pizza was amazing! Syberg's wings are super delicious! Salads are fresh and huge. They have the best buffalo chicken sandwich! And the fried shrimp dinner is good as well. Our waitress was very pleasant and stayed on top of everything. They had a live musician the night we were there which gave the room such awesome energy. They have such a large variety of food options which makes it a great place to grab dinner! read more

We have enjoyed our past experiences but our service on 11/5/2024 was abysmal. The server was quick to take our orders and bring drinks then more than a half hour went by with no food. People next to us arrived after and got food before us. They had a different server. Our food finally arrived and my husband commented that his steak sandwich tasted off. I smelled his steak and it was awful. The server went to get manager. At least 10 minutes later he arrives and says it must be a bad cut and he would comp it. 15 minutes later no check. Husband goes to server stand to try to check out. Our server came with check finally. Took way too long and food was bad. Not going back. read more

Syberg's Maddison's Chicken Strips is actually an appetizer but it makes a small meal. Ten minutes after placing my pickup order I had 8-9 steaming hot and large chicken strips. I mean HOT! Unfortunately, that was the best characteristic. The very lightly seasoned breading alternated between being crispy and greasy. The chicken was tasteless. And, despite the high temperature, some pieces tasted slightly undercooked. With a dozen or more dipping sauces to choose from I opted for Thousand Island. Surprisingly good, especially considering that I went in with late night bar food expectations. I carried the white cheddar theme through my meal. Dinner salad was large and fresh, with a variety of dressing options- not just ranch, Italian & French... I opted for the mustard, again to carry the theme through, as my main course was the chicken breast topped with shrooms, cheese and mustard, naturally, I had the mac and cheese as well. Service was very good, the entrees came out hot and fresh. As I was the only one with a salad, that came out first which is expected but was still awkward for a large table. I ate it anyway. They should have ordered 1 too. The bloody mary was so-so. It came out quickly so it wasn't that it sat too long & the ice melted, though that is how I would best describe it. I provided the following feedback on the Syberg's website right after my visit in late December 2024. I have yet to hear back from anyone at Syberg's: Hello, I visited your restaurant tonight and while the food was very good, I did have a few complaints. Our young waiter - Jacob, was very friendly, however, I did not appreciate the super-laid back "friends" approach. Being an older person, I am a customer and would like to be treated as a customer instead of as a friend. Secondly, we placed our order for two cheeseburgers and fries and I asked for mayonnaise with my order and he said they would bring out some packets. Well, my food arrived and no mayonnaise. Instead, I had to flag someone down and then wait several minutes before I could begin eating my hot meal - not good! In the future, it would be nice to have what I ordered and requested to be delivered all at once, versus having to wait before I can begin eating. Also, the mayonnaise packets CANNOT be opened easily. We finally had to use a steak knife to saw them open to use - not good! The sad part about all of this is we had a terrible time the last time we came here nearly two years ago and yet it would seem some things still need to improve. Maybe it's just me, but above is what I experienced and frankly I will not be returning to Syberg's of O'Fallon, IL anytime soon. read more

Yesterday I called to get a to go corned beef and cabbage. The server that answered had to go back and check. The answer was no. I suppose I could have gone in ordered and asked for a take out box. I understand they want people to come in and drink. I don't drink so the check would be the same. I might this was 1PM. They weren't slammed. Server was very nice and welcoming. Super disappointed, however, in my chicken & pear salad. It specifically says on the menu that all salads have the dressing on the side, even going as far as to point out that side salads get a 2oz portion of dressing, while entree salads get a 4oz portion of dressing. Therefore, when I ordered my salad, I did not specify dressing on the side. When I got my salad, I was upset to see that the dressing was on it. We were with family members who had brought us there, so I didn't want to offend them and make them think I didn't like this restaurant they had brought us to, so I chose not to send the salad back. We've been long-time customers of Syberg's on the Missouri side and it seemed like an easy choice for dinner on Mother's Day. From start to finish, it was not the experience we expected. We were told a 20-30 minute wait, but a party of the same size came in while we were waiting and were seated immediately. When we finally got a table, we waited 10-15 minutes before the manager noticed no one had been to our table yet. The rest of the meal followed the same pattern: it took forever to get food (which was good when it finally came) and even longer to get a box and our check (our visit lasted over 2 hours). We were offered a Mother's Day dessert, but were told after we ordered that it was gone. We were charged for things that we weren't informed there would be an upcharge for (all dark meat chicken) when we finally received our check. We also overheard our server using extremely profane language at the hostess stand while we were eating with our kids. We will not return to this location. read more

We come here often. The fried shrimp paired with a baked potato is excellent. They used to serve shark tacos but they must have run into issues with their supplier and will not have shark for two years. That is a shame because their shark tacos were really good. Sybergs also has their own brand of wing sauce. It is close to hooters style. I think Sybergs is better. Monday - Friday they have a special. Pizza is on Wednesday. It's the flat bread pizza so you either love it or hate it. The service is always good and they are friendly and the inside reminds me of A small town bar that is setup well for sports watching or family dining. read more

My wife and I had Diner tonight at 6:30pm. We missed happy hour by 30 minutes. We ordered potato skins for the appetizer and we both had cheeseburgers and fries. The Good: The cheeseburger were hot and cooked correctly. I enjoyed having grilled onions and real Swiss cheese on a medium cooked burger. The Bad: The server wasn't all there. Our table had food still stuck to it. We didn't get any small plates with our appetizer. The potato skins were cold and dried out, I'm sure they were left over from happy hour. Our French fries were horrible! Cold and hard. Must have been cooked ahead of time and sat in the window. I kept getting fruit flies buzzing around my food. read more
