Everybody was very friendly and helpful. I liked the place. It is a smaller area for seating, but they have a good menu. The food menu is a bit smaller, things such as breakfast, burritos, avocado toast, croissants, etc.... They have a good baked goods section, and they make very good coffee, as is their name. I got a box of macarons for Valentine's Day, plus one for myself, the macaron was tender, and had an amazing flavor. The person I got the Macarons for, she did like them. I also got myself a white mocha, which I liked very much. It wasn't too sweet, and the coffee was deep and rich. The price for everything was very reasonable. I want to come back and try more things, and I will definitely get more of those macarons next time also. Thank you.

Imagine a teeny, paper-thin, cold piece of toast topped with a small smear of avocado that tasted more "packaged" than fresh, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, two lonely feta crumbles, and a sliced hard-boiled egg... served cold... on the side. It did come with a side salad, which felt like an apology. We also ordered a croissant sandwich (ham, Swiss, and scrambled eggs), which unfortunately did not sit well with my husband. The eggs tasted like they may have come from a carton. The staff was nice, but the service model was confusing. When I'm prompted to tip at checkout and there are tables and seating, I assume some level of table service. Instead, we picked up our own coffee, food, silverware, and napkins, and at the end, we also got the honor of bussing our own plates back to the counter. Full-circle dining experience. Bonus details: - They had one single packet of hot sauce left in the entire place - The salt shaker was completely solidified (we did ask for more, but the replacement had exactly one functioning hole) * And just to keep you on your toes, the front door pushes instead of pulls. A small thing, but somehow on-brand. Bottom line: Come here if you want a custom coffee. If you're hungry, manage expectations... or honestly, stick with good old Starbucks for consistency, fewer surprises, and doors that behave.

I love finding a space inside and have spent a few hours at a time here, working undisturbed on various things. The beautiful interior makes it hard to leave. I have a couple cons, though. One, it's hard to enjoy this place on bad weather days because you're waiting for your drink to be made while standing in the cold or wind. I had asked for the bacon to be removed, but unfortunately it was still included, and there was a lot of it in the bowl. I spent most of the meal picking it out, which definitely took away from the experience a bit, but the dish itself was still delicious. I also noticed the presentation was different from what I expected. My graham vanilla bourbon latte was missing the cookie, and the drink came in a plastic cup instead of the tall glass I'd had on previous visits. My food also came in a little to-go carton instead of plated presentation. Has the place moved away from using plates and glassware? If so, what a pity, presentation really does make a difference, especially for such a cute café atmosphere. One thing I found interesting is that despite being only a few feet away from Karen's Bakery, Sociology still had a steady line of people waiting for coffee and food, which says a lot about how popular it is. Even with how busy it was, the place stayed clean, the line moved smooth, and the baristas were awesome the whole time. Friendly, welcoming, and still keeping the energy up late into the night. I grabbed the iced Mufawaa and a baklava roll, and both absolutely delivered. That drink gave me the perfect boost before heading up the hill to my partner's house in Cameron Park, and the baklava roll was the little sweet knockout punch I didn't know I needed. Qamaria just gets it... good drinks, good people, and somehow always the right stop when you need that extra push to finish the night.

They have an assortment of pastries and desserts which was a nice addition. Loved the café's indoor and outdoor vibe. While we didn't check out the cafe as we had just eaten lunch, we did buy a few books for our daughter. We could have spent hours here, but sadly we had to drive home. Staff were very friendly and helpful! You could always find at least one employee walking around in each section which I really liked. Overall, this is an amazing location! Staff is always helpful. Parking is probably the biggest challenge to no fault of B&N. Books are at msrp unless you pay for the b&n annual club membership which can save you a discount if you buy enough books here to offset. People will always ask why not just get it on amazon for cheaper but I still like to go and support these bookstores and find stories and books vs look online..maybe it's the old fashion treasure hunting and flipping through book summaries and covers that we find intriguing ...to past time by...but it's something I enjoy doing with my sons and that in itself as rare as it is...is worth it to me!
