Nestled in one of the many Folsom strip malls, this tiny shop packs a massive punch and they are serious about the bean. The coffee roasting happens in house and that's easily the best possible experience for coffee obsessed people like meself. I'm such a coffee nerd when it comes to roasting and I love seeing these massive roasters in house. The espresso shot was really clean, nice and strong, with just the right bitterness. This is a small coffee shop I never knew was right across from the Outlets. It's small but has lots of seating, very smart use of space. I did hesitate for a second trying to figure out where the front counter was, but nothing crazy. I get a little anxious when I'm unsure where things begin. I ordered the Iced Pearl Latte, which was just okay for me. It tasted more like iced coffee with milk and didn't really stand out. That said, I did choose a very safe, basic option from the menu. The real winner was the egg sandwich, so good! Never had an egg sandwich with jam in it but I'm here for it. I was more hungry than anything, and it absolutely hit the spot. A coffee gem near the outlets, Location: The outlets themselves are missing a decent coffee place. Lucky for everyone Kingdom Coffee Roasters is not far away. On the otherside of Iron Point road near the movie theater is this lovely little coffee shop. It can be easy to miss but tucked into this corner takes it away from some of the hustle and bustle of the outlets. There is a decent amount of parking nearby but its proximity to the bike paths also makes this a favorite of cyclist. Service: The staff is always quick and friendly. I generally order a simple drink and generally by the time I have finished ordering and paying they seem to have my drink ready. Its a real in and out experience but even if you stay the staff is very friendly and up for a chat Vibe: The shop is simple and clean with lots of seating and the roaster located toward the back. It really hammers that they are small batch roasters. The front windows provide a lot of natural light into the building. Drinks: I keep it pretty plain generally and really love their Iced Americano and Cold Brew drinks. They go down smooth and don't have to hide behind sugar or cream to make it a tasty beverage. I really love this place and its defintely worth a visit. Be forwarned that they close around 2PM so make sure you get your coffee early! read more

Their list of spring specials caught my eye, and the barista recommended the Sticky Mango Latte--I got mine with almond milk and made it decaf, which they were happy to accommodate. I also ordered a Mocha for my boyfriend and grabbed a chocolate croissant and a ham & cheese croissant, both sourced from Julian's Bakery nearby. My family even tried it and said it was disgusting. I have had much better coffee at Starbucks which is crazy to say. I will say that the baristas were nice, and the environment was also enjoyable. For food I got a smoked salmon plus avocado toast on my first visit. This is two items on the menu combined into one, which is so nice of the barista to make it for me. The combination is delicious I love it. For drinks, I really like: 1. Latte: it's creamy and perfectly steamed. Perfect when you want a sippy drink that can last long. 2. Cappuccino: strong but perfect ratio. They roast their own coffee and it's through this drink that the espresso notes shine through while really complimented by the milk. 3. Nitro cold brew: the nitro infusion makes it deceptively creamy which is so fun. 4. Cortado: very strong. For the times where you need a hit of energy but are too scared to go to straight up espresso. A little bitter as it should be but tasty~ The place is decent size with lots is seatings and a roasting facility in the corner. It's always so nice to sip coffee while there are roasting new beans. Upon entering, I was a bit unsure if I was in the right place because it didn't have your typical coffee bean scent when walking in. I got a big whiff of some type of incense that was burning! So that caught me off guard, but it smelled nice. Service was nice. I ordered an iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, they didn't have soy milk unfortunately (my preference)- but it came out super quick and it was a really delicious latte! They have a good selection of drinks/flavors at a price point that isn't as outrageous as some places in and around downtown Sac. I had a seasonal drink, the lavender latte. It was subtle in flavor, and I personally would have preferred a stronger taste of lavender. Nonetheless, it was a good cup of coffee! Service was welcoming and friendly. They pull double shots here and careful to confirm with you exactly how many you're asking for, they want to get it right. If you prefer sweeter drinks it's good to verify with them what level you're getting, some drinks with fruit aren't always guaranteed sweet. If you prefer less sweet, like me, Ty is especially in tune with you and will have at least a couple drinks catered for you on the specials menu. If you don't like what you receive, this place is unique in that they really do care about what the give you, tell them. They care about quality. Surprised that it was essentially a croissant with whipped cream frosting lol (was hard to see it closely in the display case) but it was still great. Here you will find family-owned places such as "World Traveler", "Sociology", "Big Wave", and another place that I finally got to cross off my bucket list, "Kingdom Coffee Roasters". Located at Iron Point Rd. and adjacent to Folsom Blvd. (only minutes away from the "Folsom Premium Outlets", this place has been serving up delicious coffees/espressos & small bites since opening in 2017. I came here for the first time during the morning of Saturday 11/18/2023 at around 11:40am. Since it was a rainy day, I figure why not start the day with some hot beverages to warm me up. The interior is quite spacious with ample seating throughout. There is a large black wall with a signature gold crown logo that symbolizes their business. Additionally, there is an antique coffee grinder complete with large coffee bean bags (from around the world) that they use to grind for their coffee and espresso beverages. Since this was my first time coming here, I decided to keep it simple and place and order on their "White Mocha". I paired this up with a "Cheese Danish" and they were gracious enough to warm it up for me. Within just a couple minutes, my drink was ready as it was presented in a very nice black coffee mug with matching coaster. I've got to say, the black and gold them really pair up well here. As for my drink, it was bitter and delicious without being too overbearingly sweet. The Danish was also good but tasted too generic (like something you'd get at Starbucks). I will say that "Kingdom Coffee Roasters" is a decent above average place to grab a hot or iced coffee beverage while the interior is quiet enough to study/work. They do have limited hours through as they are closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am-2:00pm. What makes this place convenient is that they are not too far from the Highway 50/Folsom Blvd. exit so if you're heading to Tahoe, its a great place to stop by along the way. This is my new favorite coffee shop in Folsom/El Dorado Hills. I recently discovered this wonderful coffee shop not too long ago and I'm hooked. It is located close to the Folsom Outlets with plenty of parking out front. I am always quickly greeted upon walking in and there's usually plenty of space to sit. Everything is clean and organized. I have stopped by on my own for coffee to-go, hung out with my baby and friends, and enjoyed just some good coffee and quiet time here. They have a huge variety of drinks to choose from by my favorite is their Brazil pour over. My husband loves their latte but I can't wait to come back I try more.
