Have had many special Sunday visits to This Peet's location. Baristas are always very friendly & always make my Chai's just right. The surroundings both inside & outside are very comfortable. There should be more Petes coffee since I like their style of coffee blends and atmosphere. I like their lattes, very rich and creamy. Service is usually quick and friendly too. I was attracted by the $1 yelp check in offer. The pumpkin spice was a bit different than what I'm used to. But it's worth trying out as part of the season. read more

Dear Peet's, I decided to visit you instead of spending my afternoon studying in Starbucks like usual. I was interested in a change of pace and better coffee. I got the better coffee, and the change of pace but it wasn't what I was looking for. The guy taking drink orders didn't say one word to me, just stared, while I looked over the pastries. When I was ready to order it was the grumpiest, most lethargic transaction I've ever had in a coffee shop I've ever had. While I find myself a comfy place to study I overhear him arguing with the customer behind me about soy milk, she was polite in her questioning but he seemed so offended that she would want anything different than how the drink is normally made that this interaction went on for a good 3 minutes. (this made me a little nervous since I had my drink made with soy..) Now my drink is up, I hear my name, yay! I don't see any smiley face making drinks, I almost don't even see the barista behind the machines at all, my drink is still all the way back by the coffee grinder so I'm not sure if I was imagining that she called my name especially since the drink sitting there is hot and I ordered a cold drink. As I'm waiting for her to finish what she is doing so I can ask she yells out my name so this must be mine. I ask if that drink is for "Amber" as I ordered a cold drink. The only response from behind the espresso machine is "You are going to have to wait." I'm more than happy to wait, however to have it barked at me as though I mistakenly ordered a cold drink was unfortunate. The service was so jarringly unexpected that I almost didn't stay, I know where a good Coffee Bean is and a new Starbucks with big tables just opened up. I decided to stay and use the internet to write you this letter though Peet, I hope one day your service is as good as the coffee. p.s. Never had Peet's coffee before, I wanted a cold blended drink and ordered the vanilla coffee javiva I believe it was called. It was alright, I could barely taste the coffee because the vanilla was so overpowering. The environment was calm & chillax, service was good. Probably wouldn't go out of my way for this coffee shop, I'd rather go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. read more

One of my favorite coffee spots super fast easy and convenient for me to come in and get my coffee and start my day love their coffee love their prices and I even come here to study. Really enjoy coming here and the people that are serving me are very friendly in super nice so it's a great spot to meet up and have a drink and relax. read more

I can't quite figure out what their problem is, but for some reason Peet's really has a difficult time selling me beans. I buy ~9 lbs of beans every 3-4 weeks and half the time it turns into a difficult transaction. Today was no exception save for the fact that the transaction ran almost 30 minutes. I attempted to purchase 9 ponds of beans ($150ish) and was told the card was declined. (This was after they finally fathomed the fact that I wanted to buy 9lbs) I told them it wouldn't make sense that my company card was declined, but went ahead and offered my no limit AmEx to pay, which also declined. I told the girl it must be an issue on Peet's end, and could she please call to find out the issue? She explained she didn't know why it was declined but it was definitely on my end. We moved to another issue, same issue. Then she said she could sell it a pound at a time, so 9 transactions (?!?) Suboptimal. About 15 minutes in I finally convinced her to call tech support. After awhile waiting she learned the current max transaction was $50 as the register was in "spooling" mode. I get that stuff happens, but, coming from a customer service background, this was handled terribly. Pete's coffee is fine, but whatever you do, don't try to spend more than $50 with them. read more

Great place to get some hot latte:D Best thing about Peet's Coffee is the fact that if you check in here you get 1 dollar off any drink! I recommend going to Peet's if you don't want to deal with the line at Starbucks but still get amazing quality cafe lattes:) read more

Not only is Peet's coffee one of the best chains around, this branch has service that makes me question my belief that all people are created evil. Seriously, they take good care of their guests, even offering us extra wi-fi time before they shut down for the night. The furniture is a bit wonky; sharing a table can be an epic battle for space and balance. But, that's a minor gripe. If I'd asked, the staff would probably have whipped me up some sort of rig to fix the uneven table legs. Nay, nay, I said. They've already done enough for me. The indoors closes "early" at 10 pm, but if you dress warmly and get an outdoor seat this is a great place to come study and get your caffeine fix. read more

We ordered 4 different drinks and each was terrible. They do not know that an iced drink has to be cold, not warm. They do not know how to use a french press. Matcha lattes are really powdered and not mixed. Everything is so bad. We should have taken all of our drinks back, but we were embarrassed for them and didn't want to seem extreme. Please get it together Peet's. You're very disappointing and not worth the money. I will not be returning. read more

Came in this morning for my 6-7 time and I gotta say I still love the service. The cashiers are kind and friendly and usually I come here before school and am met with fantastic customers service and drinks that don't taste like coffee powder and sugar. Even if the ones here are- it tastes like there is genuinely coffee in them and is nearly impossible to tell the difference. The drinks are finely crafted and I would say well worth their price. Mainly why I come back is the good service. They take the time to interact with their customers and it makes my visits here that much more memorable. read more

There is a good selection of coffee and teas here, especially for coffee and tea aficionados. The downside, it takes about fifteen minutes to brew the tea because there is such a wide variety. The plus side is that your tea is super fresh, but if you're on the run, it may be a downer to wait. They do however carry vegan cookies which is great for vegetarians and vegans! One star off because it is always ridiculously cold and whenever I go, I'm bundled up in a blanket with a sweater on. It's ALWAYS cold. I'm not kidding. read more

Nice tea selection here. The coffee is above average (slightly), and the staff is super friendly. On the day I was here they were having severe (and strange) problems with their sound system. Free wi-fi with purchase, although the furniture is not that comfortable. read more

Craving a little something to snack on with that fresh cup? No worries, the pastry selection will fit the bill. Sweet or savory - they have it. Outside seating available as well as indoor if preferred. WiFi available for surfing the web while hanging out. Outdoors had been plagued by a cluster of smokers that was irritating to walk through to get a cup. Management has worked to alleviate that. Not bashing smokers - just a courteous effort on your part would help a lot. Maybe grab seating AWAY from the doors? I don't like to forge through a cloud bank to get a cup, but I do...it's that good! Property management has posted signs as a reminder so this seems to have helped. read more

Decent quality latte--way better than the other major coffee franchise, Starbucks and Coffee Bean but painfully slow wifi in this location.

Coffee is good, but the ambiance is not. This Peet's gets taken over every night by the Chess Club. No I'm serious. There are older guys who come here every night and have some serious chess matches, which makes it pretty hard to study if that's why you came. The dim lighting and uncomfortable seating don't help either. I've come here several times to try to study and have found it really difficult to stay focused or be comfortable. Peet's in general is not conducive for studying like a Starbucks or other coffee shops are. Employees are really nice though and the Freddos are pretty darn good too. If you love to second hand smoke then I would recommend to sit outside where it's smokers paradise most nights. Otherwise, you're better off indoors. read more

I love peets coffee in general. But this was the first time I went to this location. I didn't wait too long to get the drinks i ordered but when they were yelling or saying the orders out loud for pick up, it's like the girls in the back don't say your order correctly. So there were two drinks sitting on the counter to be picked up. I wasn't sure if they were mine so I asked the girl behind the counter what they were and she seemed kinda rude about it. Not a good first impression of this particular location but I gave it three stars cuz peets coffee is pretty good. Don't know if I'll be back to this location again. If you are around the Lake Forest location, go there. They are so much nicer. read more

The problem with this Peet's is that, unless I'm mistaken and my laptop was just acting up when I visited (which is not entirely out of the question, I suppose), there is no wireless internet here. It was very frustrating -- I went there to do some work but I couldn't find a wifi connection so had to leave (with my watered-down coffee, no less). If you are looking for a place to study or to work, this place will likely not meet your needs. There are a few positives to this place: 1) The baristas are friendly; and 2) they have power strips plugged into the walls, so there is not as much of a shortage of outlets for you to plug into as there are at other coffee houses. read more

I have been a loyal Peet's customer for three years now, and for good reason. This place is infinitely better than Starbucks and Seattle's. Peet's lattes are rich and creamy and strong; Seattle's watered down and totally subpar. The only complaint I have with this place is that it's possibly racist when it comes to hiring. But I hold no grudges since they have fantastic drinks and offers a nice study location. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered the mocha ice blended drink and asked for almond milk instead of regular milk. The lady asked me if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. I also paid for caramel drizzle. When I got the drink, there was no whipped cream or caramel drizzle. I asked the lady and she said that it said no whipped cream. She added the whipped cream and said that there was caramel inside. The drink didn't even taste like chocolate or anything. The only thing it tasted like was almond milk. There was a drop of caramel in the bottom of the cup. It tasted horrible and it tasted just like almond milk with food coloring. Whenever I get an frappe with almond milk somewhere else, it always tastes like mocha, not almonds. read more

Don't know why there are soooo many smokers here outside. The smoke totally ruins the taste of the coffees and teas here, so instead of the heavenly coffee scents, it becomes old cigarette smoke, and it hangs in my drinks, which makes me very very unhappy. Came here a few times during the school year to study. I didn't really have a great experience either times. I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that I was a student who took up a table for hours, but the baristas were not very nice to me at all. I noticed that this place has a lot of "regulars," so I gave it another chance the second time. Again, the barista wasn't so nice, and didn't even tell me what my order came to. I guess coming from a food service background as well, I'm pretty analytical when it comes to service. In any case, I would not come here again after those two experiences. I hate feeling unappreciative, and the coffee isn't that great anyway. I would have given them 1 star, but kudos for the free wi-fi for the time i was there. read more

Love this place! The staff and quality of the coffee is one of the best around. Indoor seating usually goes quickly but outdoor seating is also available. Their frozen coffee drinks are bland, the only disappointment so if you are trying the caramel or dark chocolate macchaito better add two shots of espresso! read more
