Staff works very hard, but sadly, this Peet's is regularly understaffed, resulting in excessive wait times, even with mobile app ordering.

Kind of a disaster. One of the most disorganized I've been to. There seem to be needlessly long waits, even with no line. The parking lot outside is kind of a disaster too; it's on a hill and fits into weird spaces and seems haphazardly laid out. Everyone seems in a rush (in Peet's too), so it's the kind of lot that's asking for trouble. Best avoided. read more

After much anticipation, this Oakland Hills location of Peet's Coffee has FINALLY opened! This area was desperately in need of a coffee shop, so I couldn't help but do a little happy dance when I first saw the "Now Open" sign. With 2 stories and both indoor and outdoor seating on each floor, this is the largest Peet's I've seen. There is a lift for mobility-impaired access, which I find to be convenient when I bring my baby stroller. The place is very clean and modern. The service is friendly but can be a bit slow. The parking lot is shared with several other businesses, but it's easy to find a parking spot only steps away from the front door. The coffee here meets my expectations for standard Peet's Coffee. Although Peet's isn't on my list of top favorites, it's pretty good and certainly satisfies my coffee addiction! read more

My order is not complicated (iced latte, no special requests) but usually takes no less than 20 minutes to fulfill when ordering in person with no line. I'm not sure why it takes so long but I suspect they are filling a LOT of online/app orders as they come in. If you have somewhere to be, ordering a drink here will make you 100% late as others have said. I gave them 3 stars because my drinks are always good and they are friendly enough. read more

Finally the Lincoln Square has completed its renovation with a welcoming addition of Peet's Coffee. The place has two floors and an urban chic vibe. Spacious. I'm sure it will become a very popular spot. Like myself I came to get milk from Safeway and couldn't help dropping in to get an iced chai latte and lemon poppyseed bread. Staff was very nice! There is outside/patio seating. A cute little (topless) lift inside the shop was taking guests up & down. read more

Stop it with all the yummy drinks and food. These jerks even have an app you can order ahead. I can't stand how much seating and parking there is either. I should go yell at the manager: "great job". They have all my money and the've more than earned it. I strut in, bleary-eyed and leave with hope. They never get to see the impact mainlining caffeine gives me, but I can assure you, I couldn't work/parent without it. The app needs to let you tip so you can more easily give love. read more

My neighborhood Peets that took a billion years to open was a disappointment. Simple black tie light ice took 10 minutes when hardly busy and came with full ice. When asked they all looked at each other as if I was shocking them. No offer to make it right so I pulled the ice out myself. Want to live this place but wow. $5 for 10 mins I'll never get back and hands that need washing for fixing my own drink. Ashkay was very nice. Most overpriced yuppie nonsense. I paid $10.65 for coffee and a small pastry. If I stopped here every day on my way to work, I'd be out $250.00. What average income person can afford this everyday? Despite their branding, Peet's is not designed for the middle-class and certainly not for their own workers, who don't look like they get nearly as many pastries and lattes as they deserve! I usually don't leave a review because I usually believe the people that work in the service industry try their best with what they have, but not this time. I just got off of work this morning and decided to get 2 Chai Lattes and some food for me and my Fiancé as she arrived into Oakland, she had an early flight and I knew she'd be hungry. So I ordered our order ahead, and also left an 20% tip (To insure promptness) and made my way down the hill towards Peet. When I arrived, 1 drink was made and to pastries. I understand they had a couple more orders and 3 people in line, but my last drink was just Chai concentrate and milk. They kept assuring me that it will be right out, but it took 10 more minutes to make. I even saw the barista make herself a drink and put it to the side then make mine after. By the time I received my last drink both pastries were cold. I love Peet's have more than 1800 points, but this time I went was very annoying. read more

Belize who works the register, isn't personable. She doesn't make eye contact with you and when there were 6 people waiting in line to order, instead of servicing us, she was using the iPad to order pastries that they are out of. Not professional. I asked her if I could order please and she said "Hold on". I told her I'd like to get my order in so I am not late for work and her response was that I will have to wait, regardless. After a very long delay, this Peet's location finally opened. It's much larger and nicer than the one on Fruitvale. There is a lot of seating in the upstairs area, which is nice. The workers were reasonably friendly, which is a big improvement for Peet's. At 8am on a Friday, it was busy but not packed. Most of the patrons seemed to be yoga and soccer mom's. It didn't seem like anyone was on their way to work. It took about 10 minutes from the time I entered the line until I received my drink. The one major disappointment is that they got my drink wrong--chai latte instead of a mocha--which I didn't realize until I arrived at work. And I don't like Chai. read more

This just opened and still has the 'new car smell' to the place. I like the layout and the decor. It's important to keep it clean at all times. I had a med roast this morning that tasted great. However I have to take off a star for not having the plastic plugs for the lid tops that keeps the coffee from spilling in the car!! There was no line when I came in, shortly before 10 am today. When I tried to order, I was told that their "system" was "down" and I would have to wait to order. I couldn't just pay and have the folks make my coffee. The system soon came up, and I ordered my cappuccino and had to pay cash, since they were not sure that the card readers were working. Next thing I know, ten orders from the web are in front on me-- while I was waiting to order, the online orders were cueing up. I had to wait 20 minutes to get my coffee, and I was there in person. This is just wrong, and I won't be back. I have, at other times waited 30 minutes for my coffee-- this is just too long! Peets has the best coffee, but this is ridiculous! read more

Okay, this is the best Peet's I've ever been in. Two floors. Two all gender restrooms. Tons of nice and comfortable seating, outdoors and in. This Pete's is relatively new, they've had the issue of a pandemic happening as they are trying to establish themselves. That said, I've never had any significant waits here, although I have almost always ordered ahead. Today I ordered in the store and was told that they would have to brew another batch of coffee and asked if it was alright. I was annoyed and apparently it showed as they gave me a free drink card with my coffee. I felt bad, said thank you and sorry, they were very courteous. This is one of the nicest Peet's locations. It has a very chill atmosphere and the two floor layout gives it a very unique feel. Went in to get a javiva and chorizo and left with a greater appreciation for this establishment. It was well worth the wait. read more

Very rude staff, twice they forgot about items I ordered. Then the woman with the yellow and black hair had the audacity to get an attitude with me. She claimed that they couldn't find my order when obviously they had no problem with taking my money in the app. If you can't remember orders write it down or print receipts. They all need to be trained on customer service and giving people their items once their paid for. This is why I stay with Starbucks-- they know how to do the basics. read more

It's a coffee place that is dirty, is always understaffed, and the 3 times I went here they forgot about my food orders. They take forever and honestly need about 2-3 more people on staff.
