Not stoked with the owner. Came in at around 4:30 today(half hour before closing), door is locked and he is huffing and puffing to get out of there. The tire on my bmx bike was deflating and I needed a quick replacement to ride home. He first is like we're closed! And then I'm like bro u close in a half hour. Then I ask him to insert a tube(3 minute job). He wanted 30 dollars!! Like bro what. I complain and he starts cussing me out. I have no choice to comply with this prick as this my only way to get home, on my bike. He ended up making it 25 dollars which is still ridicules to charge a kid for a 3 minute tube change. Tubes cost around 5 dollars when orderd by a shop. read more

This is a great shop! Local people running a high quality local business. Chris has a ton of experience and can address any of your bicycle needs for repairs and service or a new bike. There is a level of patience that needs to be applied. The place is not large with a ton of staff. Awesome Awesome Awesome. I just purchased some WTB tubeless tires since I decided it was time to finally get rid of tubes and go tubeless!!! ( The way to go !) Service - Called Chris(owner) to get an idea what the cost would be to convert my bike to tubeless. Chris was very helpful and was more than willing to help. There was maybe 3-4 hours left in the day and he gave me all the information necessary for me to decide what to do next. Chris was able to convert my bike to tubeless without any issues! He did mention that my rear rim had two dings in them so he had to massage them out. A+ Honest - 100% honest and definitely didn't give off the impression of just caring about money. You can genuinely tell he cared about the customer. A+ Time - Got the job done by the end of the day like he promised. A+ Price - Purchased Stans No Tube Liquid 16oz. $17 Tubeless Valves - $17 I compared these prices to online prices later that night and I have to tell you I was surprised to how reasonable they were. I went into Pegasus Bicylce Works, yesterday morning to get a flat tire on a stroller (BOB) fixed for the family I work for. This was not my first adventure into their shop, however, it was to their new location. The new shop isn't far from their other spot was at all. It is much smaller, and difficult to walk into with more than just yourself. I got their a bit before 10am, their opening time and decided to wait. They ended up opening at 10:15am, which isn't a huge issue but it is when you are holding a two year old, and a bum stroller. It was quite annoying that when they did open, people entered the store, who had not been waiting in a mini line that had formed, because they opened late. Not only did they enter first, they got helped first! It was just a bit annoying, Ill go else where next time! read more

Worst experience ever!! I dropped off two rear wheels for truing around June 27th. I was more than patient because I know bike shops are very busy during Covid. Services are only being conducted by appointment only so I called & sent texts several times as to the status of my wheels but Chris (the owner) never responded. Finally on Aug 11th I decided to drive down to the shop to check the status on my wheels. Not only did he not fix my wheels but he called me a "racist" for my opposition to the Black Lives Matter organization. I was in Martinez for a 3 day weekend, when I broke my derailleur cable. I had to get it fixed on a Sunday so I could still get a ride in on Monday. I wasn't too hopeful that I could find a shop that was open on Sundays (in my home town bike shops aren't open on Sundays), and that would agree to fix my cable same day. Not only did he fix it in a couple of hours (enough time for me to enjoy the Farmer's Market, and walk around the Martinez Marina), but he checked out the entire bike. When I picked it up he pointed out other issues I should address soon, and it turns out he had adjusted my brakes without asking or even mentioning it. This is a small shop and most likely a small business​ owner who loves bikes but lacks ​business​ skills. My husband bought me a bike for my birthday and he was taking too long to put my bike together so I asked him if we could take it to a bike shop to put together. He agreed. We just moved to Martinez and I wanted to support the local business​. We called ahead and the man said to bring it in over the weekend so we did. The first interaction was pleasant and he said he would put the bike together and give us a call when it was ready. I thought he might have meant the next day but apparently,​ he meant the next week. He texted me to let me know my bike was ready and said to pick it up. I informed him​ my husband would come on Saturday when they opened. My husband arrived at opening and the man said he had to put all of the bikes out on the sidewalk and that could take some time before he could get to my bike. Strange right? My husband who is way more patient than me decided to take a walk and come back. I would have thrown a huge fit and its a good thing I wasn't​ there. My husband finally comes home with my bike all assembled​ and I couldn't​ wait to ride it. Guess waht? He didnt even put air in my tired. So I don't​ know? Do you want to go here? Oh, and he quoted a price and then changed it a few times with no notice or permission. read more

This was a bad experience. I bought a bike here and when It finally came in. I was to meet him at 10. I got there at 10 sign on the shop says it opens at 10ish. He showed up about 10:20. The owner is friendly and seems to know bikes. So I had ridden my old bike over from Vallejo to exchange for a tune up. He said it would be done the 25th of July. Now it is the 7th of August bike isn't done. He doesn't call or text up dates. He doesn't take phone messages, text him it says but he doesn't get back. I knew he would be done on the 25th of July because while I was waiting for my new bike two people came in to pick up there bike but they weren't done. The straw the broke the customers back was I had a flat of course I realize he isn't going to get to it. It is a tubeless tire which I have never had before. The tire is suppose to have sealant but it doesn't. The owner tells me it drys out because it has been so hot. It hasn't been hot. I just watch you tube they said refill the sealant every six months if it is hot not every two months if it is just warm. I was ok with the relaxed manner that he works until the flat and no sealant and the realization it is going to take forever to get this bike fixed and I just bought it. read more

I stopped in today with my one year old in tow because I was having an issue with my stroller not opening and closing correctly. I knew it was going to be an odd request walking into a bike shopping hoping they would have answers on how to fix my stroller. Chris was so sweet and helpful and immediately jumped in to look at the stroller, started tinkering with it to figure out how it worked. He grabbed some grease and ended up fixing the issue! I can't express how much I appreciated all of his help and his patience and how friendly he was. It's a one-man shop so you might have to wait during busy times. I went 8 miles out of my way to go to this shop and it was worth it. After a few minutes of browsing, we approached Chris (the owner) who was very helpful. He asked us questions about her riding habits and had us take one for a test spin down the street. He also fit her helmet. We ended up purchasing a bike and helmet- he made all the adjustments before we left. I am happy that we made the choice to support a small business rather than a box store. SUMMARY: Slow to acknowledge me. Provided great service,l once it was my turn. STORY: I came here for the first time for a small bicycle part. I had already looked at several hardware stores, but had been unable to find it. When I walked inside, the owner (Chris) was the only person there, and he was working on a bicycle. There were already 2 people ahead of me. I knew it would be a while before Chris was able to assist me, but I fully expected him to acknowledge me. This is a really small shop without much standing room, and waiting to be acknowledged was somewhat awkward. It's one of those things where you don't know exactly where to stand without appearing impatient while not giving up your place in "line". Twice he had to walk (squeeze right by me), but he still never acknowledged me. Eventually, while working on the bicycle and talking to one of the customers in front of me, Chris asked if I had a question. I showed him the broken part I was hoping to replace. He said he had one, and would be with me in a bit. Once it was my turn, not only did Chris have the exact part I was looking for, he gave it to me free of charge. We got to chatting, and he seems like a really good guy. If I had to do it over again, I would have explained my concerns to him instead of posting it here, but I just did not think of it at the time.
