This place was a great find, hole in the wall sports shop! Mostly everything is used, sometimes you may find almost like new items. They also have gym equipments, weights. They had soccer and other special shoes (all used), hockey, ice skates, roller skates, helmets, ice skating accessories (not too many but decent), fishing rods, paddle boards, ski and snow boards. We found an almost new pair of ice skates and some other stuff. Not sure if we would go again but definitely good for those growing kids and their needs. The staff was helpful too, although no one can actually point you to the right size, right brand or sometimes even the sports. You just walk around and find yourself stuff, no one to assist. I love this place! You simply can't beat the prices and selection. I called in this morning to ask about golf push carts. They're about $100 on the low end for new three-wheel carts on Amazon. I was told over the phone that Play it Again had several two-wheel and three-wheel carts and that the three-wheel ones started at around $50. Sounded like a bargain to me! I drove over during my lunch break and found about a dozen used carts, both two-wheel and three-wheel ones. The two-wheel carts were around $20 and the three-wheel ones were indeed around $50, like the staff member told me over the phone. I looked at each one and stopped in my tracks when I found a three-wheel cart in great condition for... $25! I picked it up and the counter employee told me that the return policy is seven days for a cash refund. Literally to nothing to lose! I can't wait to take this cart out for a spin. By the way, does Play it Again sell the cheapest clubs on the planet? There was a barrel of clearance used clubs for $1.50 each or $5 for five. The regular priced ones are $1.99 and up. read more

I came in several times for the heavy duty rubber tile flooring, often enough that the employees recognize me. I bought 30 tiles total. The employees are always super helpful and kind. . However, today, I went in and noticed the sign said $10.99/ea and I believed I'd been paying $10/ea. Not a big deal right but I asked about it because I'd already bought so many and I needed to buy 5 more. Well, an employee asked the owner about the pricing and the attitude the owner gave me was completely dismissive and rude. He said I must have bought the cheaper foam tiles and if I wanted any more, I could have them for 10.99. Then he threw his arms up, turned his back, and walked away from me. Are you kidding me???? Uhhhhh I'm not an idiot and I'm not blind and I know exactly which tiles I bought because I had already purchased 25 of them over the last week and the other employees had all helped me before with those EXACT tiles . His tone of voice and body language were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I was clearly upset by the exchange and the employees apologized for how he treated me and said he was just in a rush. Guess what homie, we're all in a rush and life is hard. I frequently go to this place and forgot to write a review. It's my go to place if I'm looking for equipment and not sports apparel and hats. I recently bought a hand pump for my sons sports equipment and ran into a newly used recumbent bike cruiser that was perfect size for lil man. It was at a low price and I even got a little discount on top of the price tag because of the five star point system. I had also recently acquired a new mountain bike and needed a bike pump and a new tire. I had bought a new pump with the new tire for under $50. The people who work there are friendly and informative. They also helped me change out my tire and explained the difference between standard tires and presta air valves. Prices are near or over retail. $5+ for a 3-pack of tennis balls? That's a bit of a joke. Plus, the canister of tennis balls has been opened. I understand that overhead expenses determines a great deal of what the prices would be but I also think they should do a bit of secondary market research. They're selling a pair of used Bowflex dumbbells near retail when other people on facebook or craigslist sell the same item, in comparable condition, far cheaper and without taxes. I've looked at their online store which blends in the inventory of other stores and the prices there aren't nearly as blasphemous as the prices in this location. I'd avoid with 10ft pole. I've been a pretty loyal customer, popping into this store whenever the urge strikes - which, let's be real, is quite often after a round of disc golf with a buddy who's never been the store's biggest fan (he thinks they might moonlight as a "stolen stuff" distribution center), we decide we would stop by to purchase a disc or two. Within minutes, an employee addressed my friend by name and proceeded to launch into a barrage of insults referencing a negative Google review he had posted earlier. This confrontation happened in full view of other customers, creating an atmosphere of discomfort for all present. Even at the checkout counter, the employee's confrontational approach persisted. My friend attempted to explain that he had since removed the review and had discussed the matter with the owner. Surprisingly, the employee revealed himself to be a part owner and continued the unprofessional behavior. I interjected and expressed my deep disappointment in how the employee was handling the situation. It was a difficult decision, but I chose to put back the items I had intended to purchase and left the store. I am a re-seller and I buy my clubs in bulk and sometimes some of my sets are missing a club or two. I sometimes find them here. I sell my most of my sets international. I calculated I spend an average of $100 to $200 a week on this store. Thats an average of 5k to 10k a year. But I don't think I will be coming back on this store anymore. These guys are great for so many things, but I'm just here to say: DO NOT BRING THEM YOUR BIKE. First time bringing my bike to them: The tire needed to be fixed. They said it would take a week. It took A MONTH AND A HALF. And they kept jerking me around and lying to me about how long it would take. That much time and $40 later? They didn't even fix it properly. My tire popped again a few days later and, when I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give it to me because "the bike guy quit" (which seems like bs now because it's the same dude who "only comes in on Tuesdays"). Also... isn't it the *store's* responsibility to give the refund if I paid for work that was done improperly? Second time bringing my bike to them: So, like an idiot, I take my bike back, hoping this time will be different. (By the way, this is the fix the problem that they caused, which they never gave me any kind of discount for). At first they say it will take a week because "the bike guy only comes in on Tuesdays", but as I'm about to take it elsewhere, one of the kids chimes in and says "oh, it will probably be done in 5 days". His colleague even looked at him like "really?", but my dumb ass just wants the damn thing fixed, so I believe them this time. It has been a week. No phone call with an update, no idea how long it's going to be, for a problem that I personally know is no more than an hour's worth of work. I'm holding my breath to see how long it will take this time and if it will be a hack job again. Giving 3 stars because I love that this place is here and that they're open during COVID, but I'm getting pretty fed up with being lied to about bike repair, especially because I just want to support a neighborhood business. This place is located right at a corner with a small parking lot. They have a lot of used items here in great condition. The store has a lot of space and a lot of items. It's very clean and well organized. They have a few sale items outside. They people who work there are very helpful. If you check in you get a small discount off one item. I purchased a very nice chair in great condition for $7 definitely a steal. I would definitely come here before buying anything new. And if you want to sell your EUC sporting gear and earn some cash, this a great alternative to doing it yourself. They give you cash (30%) or store credit (35%). Still kind of pricey I found some used hiking seats and they were the original sake price as brand new no kidding. I GUESS you have to go for the really beat up stuff to get a deal ... I went in there today looking to buy some weights. The guy working the floor told me the plate weights were a dollar each, any of the used ones with at sticker on them. He also told me the dumbbell handles were $2.50. When I got to the counter, the blonde guy running the register was really impatient and rude. The plate weights were actually a $1 a pound he tells me, and the dumbbell handles were 4.99 each. That's fine, but no need to be rude about it, the guy working the floor got the price wrong but at least he was friendly. I can get brand new ones for a few dollars more, or find them at the thrift store for actually a 1 each. So why shop here ever again? Came here looking for weight lifting items. Now this is a used goods store for the most part, so I expected prices to be significantly cheaper than average. Well, two 25 lbs weights and one metal clamp to keep weights from sliding off my bench press bar came to a whopping $57. A bit excessive, to say the least. I mainly came here looking for a bench that will allow me to do bench press and leg exercises. They have a new one in store... for $180! A quick Google search revealed similar benches for $135 and $99 (Amazon and Walmart, respectively). Now I understand that Play It Again Sports can't mass produce these items like Walmart can, but surely the owner can go online and see what everybody else is charging for similar items. MUCH cheaper options are available elsewhere. Don't go to this place assuming they're items are less expensive just because it's mostly a used goods store. I even regret having bought those weights and am already considering returning them. Maybe their pricing for golf, baseball, tennis, ect... is more reasonable, but they really overcharge for weight lifting items. Best to shop online. Really disappointing that it's so hard to find a retail store these days that doesn't mark their items wildly overpriced. read more
