They have a very up to date and comprehensive collection of modern board games in their library to play (think Catan, Azul, and Ticket to Ride). The beer, cider, and wine options are good, but only in cans (Block 15, Two Towns, etc). The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. And the snacks are reasonable and practical as well. They have full bags of popcorn, pretzels, etc (like grocery store sized) so you can buy one and share. It's also open late enough to have time to get a game or two in. The daily fee is just $5 / person to play and gain use of the massive library. If you are new to town or just on your own, they have movies playing and a large selection of graphic novels to check out. They also host "Learn to Play" nights where you can learn a new game at meet other people. The owners are super nice and are always willing to help with rules for games and picking out games to play. Note: There is a membership fee that is waived if you are a student or if you are sponsored by a member. My advice is definitely go with a member and get sponsored to get that membership fee waived. Lastly, the games for purchase are more reasonable than most Local Friendly Game Stores and they have a surprisingly good selection given their small space. Overall, Gamagora is a great option for some evening entertainment and doing something different on a date night. Right next door to other shops and plenty of parking, the store has a large selection of anything you want for a game night of any kind, from casual games to gateway games to the longer games which will take several hours. Prices are on the pricey side, but it's nothing quite like walking into a store and walking out with a great game.

My husband and I have been playing lots of board games with both friends and family lately. So I had to go check it out. If you're a board game player, need dice for D&D or card sleeves for Star Wars CCG, this place is amazing. They have brand new games, consignment used games, and basically everything you could ever want. The employee working when I went in was super helpful, talked to me a bunch, answered questions, and clearly enjoyed his job. This store is slightly cheaper than buying board games from Barnes and Noble, which is awesome. Usually local stores are more expensive, but that isn't the case here. This makes it even easier to support a small local business and nothing makes me happier than that. Would I return? Repeatedly! I will definitely be back and become a repeat customer. Another great bonus is Xicha and Toxic are just minutes from here. So it's the perfect excuse to grab dinner and a new game for game night in the same trip.

They have several tables set up in the back for folks to play games from the store's collection, or you can bring your own and play. I was here once with someone who was looking for some novelty version of a Catan or something and the guy seemed a little snooty about it... or maybe it was Tixket to Ride? Anyway it might not be a game he plays but he works in a game shop so it would make sense to know about upcoming releases, and not say that it's not something he's interested in so he doesn't know. Board gamers can be snobby, but TTR is good and though it's not my #1 fave (that's Grand Austria Hotel), it's fun. They do have a really good selection of games here; I picked up my copy of Splendor here, as well as the Lanterns: The Emperor's Gifts expansion, and they have many of the standards like Brass, Catan, Carcassone, Dixit, and so on. I think but don't know if they buy used games, so give them a call if you have them. This store is actually the small one from my understanding. Their flagship is in Medford, which I haven't been to, but I think that's also where their distribution arm is as well. I have Kickstarted a LOT of games and it's always cool to see it's coming from Funagain; feels like supporting a hometown/near hometown business. Parking can be difficult here depending upon the time of day, events happening at the store, and events happening in the neighborhood. Luckily the LTD station isn't too far away so that is a solid transportation alternative.
